Thanks sig.
I have already tried this one.
It did not help
Whats there to do?
Is it simply to wait it out, or face the reality and buy a new printer?

  • Font substitution failing when printing PDF to Non Postcript Printer

I have a problem with PDFs that do not have fonts properly embedded.
    For example:
    http://www.wlv.ac.uk/PDF/uow-direct-app-home.pdf
If I open the above file, it views on screen ok (using the substitute Adobe Serif MM and Adobe Sans MM) and prints to my postscript printer ok. But... if I print it to the basic office laserjet (Epson c1900), it fails to print any of the type.
    Any ideas?

No worries - thought you were from Wolverhampton University - know some
    people there ;-)
You might want to ensure all your print drivers are up-to-date since
this can seriously affect output - especially with Acrobat 8 printing
issue. Don't forget to update to 8.1.2 through the 'Check for Updates'
    option under HELP.
Another idea might be to use the PRINT AS IMAGE option under the print
menu, this will spool an image file to the printing device which might
    also help ...

  • Canon IR-Adv 5045 printing error 'Filter' failed

I just upgrade our office to include 7 new Mac Pro towers and one iMac. All of the towers had no problems when upgrading the print drivers for our Canon printer.  The iMac (only) returns a print error and will not print to the device. If anyone can read the error code in the consule and direct me how to fix the error I would greatly appreciate it.

  • HP Laserjet P4014 Stopped – 'Filter' failed

I’ve seen discussion of this for other printers and versions of OS X. Has anyone seen this on 10.9.5 and, better still, solved it?
If I try to print to a networked HP Laserjet P4014, the print queue gives up with the message
    Stopped – ‘Filter’ failed
Things I have tried so far:
    downloading new HP driver software
    resetting the printing system
    changing the computer network name
    rebooting
The only effect of all this so far is having to put back the printer’s network name and password.
At best, I get 1 page printed, followed by a Postscript error.
The only workaround so far: print to PDF and print the PDF from a Linux machine.

As far as I can tell the critical thing is an RPC error. I trimmed quite a lot – I am not sure how informative this all is. I meantime also sent a tcpdump and sysdiagnose output to Apple via bug reporter so let’s see if they come up with something.

  • HP Laserjet pro p1102 kills spooler when printing PDF documents

    I have a HP laserjet pro p1102 running on Win7 63x PC.
When I print PDF documents nothing happens on the printer side.
    Instead the spooler is killed.
When checking the spool file I can see that the documents have been spooled to the printer.
New driver install done, aswell as firmware upgrade.
    Acrobar pro 11.0.07.
    Please assist.

    Hi @UFS-HYRAX,
I see by your post that when printing a PDF the Print Spooler Crashes. I can help you.
Do you have the same results when printing something else, other then a PDF?
Clear the Spool folder and restart the Print Spooler.
How to Clear Current Print Queue In Windows Vista & Windows 7.
Run the Adobe Updates, the latest version is 11.0.09.
Print the PDF file as an "image".  From the Adobe print screen, select the button "Advanced",  on that screen you see the box for "print as image". Click on that check it. This should resolve the issue.
If you need further assistance, just let me know.

  • Error "Conversion failed when converting date and/or time from character string" to execute one query in sql 2008 r2, run ok in 2005.

I have  a table-valued function that run in sql 2005 and when try to execute in sql 2008 r2, return the next "Conversion failed when converting date and/or time from character string".

    END

You can search the forums for that error message and find previous discussions - they all boil down to the same problem.  Somewhere in your query that calls this function, the code invoked implicitly converts from string to date/datetime.  In general,
this works in any version of sql server if the runtime settings are correct for the format of the string data.  The fact that it works in one server and not in another server suggests that the query executes with different settings - and I'll assume for
the moment that the format of the data involved in this conversion is consistent within the database/resultset and consistent between the 2 servers.
I suggest you read Tibor's guide to the datetime datatype (via the link to his site below) first - then go find the actual code that performs this conversion.  It may not be in the function you posted, since that function also executes other functions.
You also did not post the query that calls this function, so this function may not, in fact, be the source of the problem at all.

  • Error "Deserialisation failed" when trying to use BAPI via a web service

I created a web service in BW with the help from the wizard WS_WZD_START. The web service contains
    (among others) the RFC BAPI_ODSO_READ_DATA_UC.
The web service runs OK & can be used from the SAP Web Services Navigator.
Now when i try to use the web service from Delphi i get
an error: "Deserialisation failed" (SimpleTransformationFault) "ODSOBJECT erwartet".
The ODSOBJECT parameter is there to be sure.
I saw the same error before in this forum but found no real solution there. I am using BW 6.40 & SP 12.

The same error occurs when I take the exact XML that was sent from Web Services Navigator (the XML that worked) and send that from Delphi.
    What could be wrong?

    Hi Simon,
Other thing you can do is compare the HTTP requests (including header) from both Delphi and XMLSPY. I suspect if the SOAP message is same in both case the difference might be in the header. But one thing is certain, WAS can not respond differently for same request, don't you think so ?

  • SSRS error "Conversion failed when converting the nvarchar value"

    Hi folks!
After SCCM 2012 R2 upgrade, we have errors with self made reports:
An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)
Cannot read the next data row for the dataset DataSet2. (rsErrorReadingNextDataRow)
Conversion failed when converting the nvarchar value '*****' to data type int.
I found several articles to see reporting services log file for possible WMI related errors, but none exists. SQL server is 2008R2, Runned mofcomp, and re-installed reporting services role, but problem remains.
    I traced the dataset2 query:
    SELECT
      v_Collection_Alias.CollectionID ,v_Collection_Alias.Name
    FROM fn_rbac_Collection(@UserSIDs) v_Collection_Alias
    WHERE
     v_Collection_Alias.CollectionType = 2
    Any adwice is appreciated.
    ~Tuomas.

    Hi Tuomas,
What's the SQL Server version? To verify the the SQL Server version, please see
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321185
    SCCM 2012 R2 need SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1 with CU 6 or SQL Server 2008 R2 with SP2 (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg682077.aspx#BKMK_SupConfigSQLSrvReq).
If the SQL meets requirement, I would suggest you submit a thread to SQL forum to deal with the sql issue.
    Thanks.

  • Getting error 'generation failed' when tried to build the CAF application

    Hi All,
I have created the webdynpro application for the human activity.I have created CAF Application for automated activity. But when I tried to generate and build the CAF application,I am getting an error 'generation failed-com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.exceptions.ProxyGeneratorException: Problem with WSDL file parsing. See nested message.-Problem with WSDL file parsing. See nested message.-unknown protocol: c'
I am not able to get what does this error mean.Kindly suggest me some solution.
    Regards,
    Pranjali Silimkar

    > In note 1375494, I already installed vcredist_x64.exe (Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB973552)). But even that, the error remained!
This is the wrong patch - you need the patch for the Runtime 2005, not for 2008.
Those kernels were build with Visual Studio 2005 and hence you need that runtime.

  • LaserJet CM1312 MFP faded text when printing.

    Hi,
When using this CM1312 printer the text is faded in parts, mostly to the left hand side of the page but it is noticeable on the whole document when printing. It does this for all colours.
The ink toner cartridges have recently been changed and all are almost full. I have carried out all the cleaning checks and the diagnostic report check but this hasn't helped.
Any help with this problem would be great.
    many Thanks
    Leigh

    Hi Leigh,
Are you still seeing this issue?
If so, does it occur on copies as well as print jobs?
Did you see the problem on the Diagnostics Page you printed?
Also, please check the firmware update site for the CM1312 and make sure you're running the latest firmware.
Finally, it sounds like you've already tried many of these things, but this link provides some things to try to resolve print quality issues.
    I work for HP.

  • Printer set-up, downloaded HP Laserjet 4 driver BUT "error" status occurs when printing !!!

All though I have downloaded HP Laserjet driver, when attempting to print, printer always goes into error mode !!!

I found the solution.  I was using WEP encryption and I needed to be using WPA encryption.

  • Error code 0x803C010B when printing wirelessly: Has anyone found a solution yet?

I read all of the Microsoft forums regarding this issue but no one seemed to find a reliable solution.  When there was a solution for one person, then it didn't work for someone else.
I called MS tech support, and they told me that they have received many calls about this error.  The tech said that only MS could fix it and she charged me $100, with a 100% guarantee that it would be fixed.  She evaded each time I asked her what
was the root cause of the error.
MS tech noticed three corrupted files from a Windows update, then started searching for viruses and malware, of which she found several, even though I had Norton protection.  Then she tried to sell me a different anti-virus program, for more money,
which I declined until they could tell me the root cause of the problem.
Unfortunately I had an appointment so I left the tech working on my computer remotely.  When I returned the problem was still not fixed.  Printer still shows as offline or even turned off, when it is neither of these things, and I receive the above-referenced
error code when I try to troubleshoot.
I have a follow-up call with a MS tech today.  I will post updates to this.  It seems that they do not know how to fix it, either.

    I'm having the same issue but with HP Photosmart 7525 and HP LaserJet P1102W.  Both worked fine until earlier this week when I "shut down and updated" my computer.  I keep deleting the printers from my computer and reinstalling them;
they work temporarily then tell me they are "offline" when, clearly, they are not.

  • Cpeaut32: error in formula  when print CR rpt 8.5 on terminal server 2008

I have had this similar error in the past when I tried to run an older version of cr (5.0) on a newer pc (xp)and then I had to update some dll's and register them.
Now the same kind of error but different versions of CR and pc software.--CR 8.5 and terminal server 2008
The error reads the same: error in formula (and then code from function in the report where the error occured). "A number, currency amount, boolean or string is expected here... "
The report runs fine on the older terminal server .  The program is a VAM application.  Any attempt to print report fails (using the preview, print or printer icons)
A solution for a similar problem ( from the sap library ) using CR 8.5 in a Citrix or Terminal Server enviornment was to copy all files from   <systemroot>\Crystal
    to
                                                      <systemroot>\System32
But before doing anything i wanted to find out if I needed to update some dlls.   or what is needed to detemine which dll's are causing the problem and what to do about it.

Cpeaut32 is very very old legacy SDK and will not likely ever work on newer operating systems. Upgrade to .NET to get support with recent OS's.
