HSA Plan deductions

Hi
We have configured the HSA plan as Savings plan (IT0169) and currently the deductions are on bi-weekly basis. we are running this very smoothly for past one year. So, if the employee wants to enroll in the HSA plan through any Adjustment Reason ( say Birth), the R/3 screen would say 'Pre Tax Contribution Bi-Weekly' and beneath that, employee can enter the amount he wants to pledge for the year.
Now effective from 01/01/2008, we want the employee to see the Pre-Tax contribution amount as Annual and not bi-weekly anymore. To achieve that, I configured a new Variant under 'Define Employee Contribution Variants' for this HSA plan with contribution Criteria as 'Annually'. Since Variants are not date dependent, so under the 'Define Employee Contribution Rule' for the HSA plan and the new Variant ( which I had created in the previous node), created new entry , effective from 01/01/2008 with contribution type 'Amount' and pre-tax. Lastly, under the node 'Assign Savings Plan Attributes', I added the new variant for the HSA plan, effective from 01/01/2008.
Till here, the configuration looks good. But the problem is , when I elect the HSA plan through an adjustment reason, (HRBEN0001 screen) it still shows the pre-tax contribution as Bi-weekly instead of Annually, though the plan start date is 01/01/2008. I am wondering what is it that does not let the new variant show that the contribution is Annually and not bi-weekly from 01/01/2008.
I will appreciate if somebody suggests me a way out of this ASAP.
Of course, helpful suggestions are rewarded.
Thanks again.

Hi William,
We have a similar requirement and I am having the same issue of the employee unable to see an annual contribution instead of the current Monthly.
Did you get  a solution for the above problem ?

  • Enrollment in HSA plan and FSA Dependent care.

    Hello,
I just created an HSA plan in IT0169 associated with a HDHP.  When I try to enroll in the HSA plan, I get this error:  Employee cannot simultaneously enroll in HSA and DCAR.
DCAR is our FSA dependent care plan under IT0170.  Why is this an issue?  There is no pre or co-requisite to the FSA DCAR plan.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi Ben,
Not sure what is the issue.....
    Check the configuration for
    1. Savings Plan - HSA i.e. Table V_5UBA_C (Check if the Indicator for HSA Plan. It should be UNCHECKED)
    2. FSA Plan - DCAR i.e. Table V_T5UBG (Check the Indicator for HSA-Relevant Plan. It should be UNCHECKED).
Try this out and let me know...
    Hope this helps !!!!

  • Benefits Health Plans Deductions are not working

    Hi All,
I configured health plans successfully and i am able to see all of my health plas from Open Enrollment and when i was trying to enroll into plans, the plans are showing wrong deduction amount for all my health plans.
Instead of deducting one dollar, it is deducting 4 dollars
Instead of deducting 3 dollars, it is deducting 12 dollars.
so each and every deduction amount is multiplied by 4.
I was checking each and every table, i haven't find any thing wrong, some one please help me to resolve this issue.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,

    Hi Keeran,
In the standard the contribution are taken depending on the employee pay period (payroll area). But I think you might be able to modify this process via a user exit, the best for your scenatrio, I think, is the one below:
    Definition name               PBEN_PAY0006
Definition short text         Country exit for determination of EE contribution fixed per.

  • Pension plan deduction

    Dear friends,
The pension record (IT0169) is delimited for an employee within a pay period.
Still pension is deducting for the entire period.
The employee is going to be separated from company.Due to settlement employee has active status till end of pay period.
Where as IT0169 is delimited before end of pay period. But pay results shows full deduction ignoring the delimition of IT0169.
How the deduction can be controlled based on pension record validity??
    Thanks & Regards
    JIm

    Hi Jimson
P0169 function parameter 1 set in your payroll schema determines the date on which employee would be eligible for deduction or not.
Either deductions would be taken in full or not taken at all which depends upon parameter 1.
Please look at parameter and update your infotype 0169 accordingly.
If paramater 1 is BEG then you need to have employee master data for 0169 delimited before just a date before to current pay period start date.
If paramater 1 is END then you need to have employee master data for 0169 delimited at any date before to current pay period end date.
If paramater 1 is CHK then you need to have employee master data for 0169 delimited before just a date before to current pay period payment date.
    Thanks,

  • US PY HSA Benefit Plan Calc

    Friends,
i am looking for suggestions on HSA Plan.
Deduction for this works as FSA with deduction mdoel setup, but SAP recommends to have HSA in IT169 .
For Savings Plan we cannot assign Deduction Model.
Anyone with such experience in past, is there a way we can write a rule to behave has annual amount distributed over remaining periods.

    Hello,
Most customer in this scenario are using a user exit.
Try implementing Customer-function 028 (PBEN0028). It is called in function module HR_BEN_CALC_BENEFIT_EE_CONTRIB. This should be an appropriate place where you can calculate the employee contribution.

  • Is it usual Internat'nl Plan behavior to use domestic data allotment 1st??

    Dear Folks,
Just wrapping up a trip to Montreal, so I bought 20MB of international data (at an exorbitant $25) so I'd have 3G here.
When I started using the iPad in Montreal, it started using up my domestic data allotment (what was left of my 250 MB/month subscription). Only after that was used up did it start eating into my 20 MB of international data.
It was a pleasant surprise, to have a lot more MB available in Montreal than I expected. Made the $25 charge more palatable. But... Is that normal out-of-US behavior??? Or normal just for Canada? Or normal just for Montreal?
    I'm pleased but puzzled.
    pax / Ctein

Yes. I noticed the same thing on two different trips. The first time I purchased the plan prior to going to Canada and noticed that the minutes came off my US limited plan first. Once it ran out the international data plan deductions happened.
The second trip I waited till I was in Canada to see if I didn't need the international plan. I couldn't get access to the network without it so I purchased it (while at a WIFI hotspot) and same behavior as the first trip. Now that I am on the unlimited plan this works out really well for me!
I was in multiple cities and multiple provinces, so it appears to be the case with a US iPad in Canada. Not sure about other international locations? Anyone?

  • Enrollment Screen - Validity period for benefit plan

    Hi,
At the enrollment screen (HRBEN0001), once click the adjustment reason, the respective benefit types and plans will be listed out. Also, the benefit plans have the "Validity period" showing as well (start date and end date).
I understand that the date is configure at "administrative parameter" and the "adjustment reason" . But I needs to have the validity end date of the benefit plan to be displayed (at HRBEN0001) based on the validity period of the plan itself from table (T5UBA). Is it possible to do that?
    Thanks
    Nikki

    Hi Nikki,
In configuration this cannot be done. However there is some badis that allow you to set up plan records date depending of the type of plan. These badis are:
PBEN0038                       Set dates for Spending Account plans
PBEN0039                       Set dates for Miscellaneous plans
PBEN0040                       Set dates for HSA plans
For other plan types I;m afraid only the dates from administrative parameter" and the "adjustment reason" can be used
    Hope this help

Title: Cannot Create A User Defined Input Value For A State
    Retirement Plan Deduction Element
    Symptoms
In the element description form you cannot add new input values for a deduction element. You get
this error when creating new input value:
FRM-41051 You cannot create records here
The deduction element is a newly created element.
    Cause
When adding the input values Datetrack date was not proper.
    Fix
Make sure there are no element entries existing for the element.
Make sure to date track to the date when the element was created.
    Solution
Because the application looks at three conditions before it will allow you to add an input value
to an element, if one of those conditions are met it will not allow you to create the element entry.
In your case 2 are being met so the system will not allow you to create the element entry.
    1- element entries exist
2- state date of the new input value is greater than the element start date
    Conditions being looked at:
    element_entries_exist or
no_of_input_values for the element is > 15 or
    :ctl_globals.session_date != element_start_date
There is no workaround for scenario, you need to create a new element.
결과적으로 말씀드리면, 한번 입력된 Element에 대해서는
아래의 두가지 속성을 모두 충족하지 않는 한,
Input Value를 추가로 입력하실 수 없습니다.
    신규로 Element를 지정해주셔야 합니다.
    1. Make sure there are no element entries existing for the element.
==> 해당 Element에 대한 Element Entry가 없어야 합니다.
    2. Make sure to date track to the date when the element was created.
==> 신규 Input Value를 입력하려는 DateTrack날짜가 Element가 생성된 날짜와 같아야 합니다.

  • Mass benefits enrollment upon cost change

We have a custom interface that passes employee plan deductions (plan and amount) to ADP. It's a relatively standard ABAP-coded interface that passes any changes through IDOCs.
Now a provider raises their plan costs. I enter the new costs into IMG, but this does not automatically create any new benefit infotypes. However an employee's current IT167, 168 etc infotypes now reflect the new costs. But as it is the current infotype and not a new record, none of the new deductions would get picked up by the interface to ADP.
How have you seen this done in the past? The only solution I can come up with is to use the same code we have for benefit plan conversions to do a mass conversion into the same plans, or a similar custom utility to create the new infotypes as of the cost change date (and thus raise the IDOC change pointers for the interface).
    Thanks, Vlad

Looks like the custom ABAP program kicks-off only with a change in a infotype. I do not prefer creating new infotypes or new plans (when plan costs changes).
I would trigger the ABAP program if there are changes to cost rules tables.

  • Trouble putting layers over video plugin

I'm using Dreamweaver 8 for mac.
I have my video plugin in a table z layer 2. I set the
parameters for the .m4v file set to wmode = transparent.
I'm attempting to put a gif to make a permanent headline on
top of the video. This is layer 1 z layer 1. When I go to preview
this in firefox or safari, the video plugin is always on top. What
    am I doing wrong?

All Active content on a page will always rise to the top, so
    to speak,
including Flash, certain form elements, Java applets, and
    Active X controls.
This means that each of these will poke through layers. There
    is not a good
cross-browser/platform reliable way to solve this issue, but
    if you can be
confident in your visitors using IE 5+ or NN6+, then you can
    use the Flash
wmode parameter (however, Safari does not support this
    properly!).

  • Some Skype confusion

I have seen the tutorials, and also read the FAQ, and also searched the boards.
It says unlimited skype to skype calling/text whether internation or domestic.  Does these use minutes/text alloitments?  I read it does and it doesn't, and the FAQ could be worded a little better to help **bleep** like me understand.
    or is it like this.
Skype to Skype is free, but if I use it to call/text someone that isn't on skype it costs minutes/text?
a idiot proof explaination please lol.

Refer to the following for how Skype mobile is billed:
    A domestic Skype-to-Skype call:
    Voice & Usage= Unlimited
Call details appear on the Skype account
    2. An international Skype-to-Skype call:
    Voice & Usage= Unlimited
Call details appear on the Skype account
    3. A domestic or international Skype-to-Skype instant message:
    Voice & Usage= Unlimited
Details appear on the Skype account
    4. A call to a domestic number (either mobile or landline):
    billed according to calling plan
Call details appear on the Verizon Wireless bill
*Note: All included plan minutes apply accordingly (i.e. Friends & Family, Mobile to Mobile, Unlimited Nights & Weekends and Anytime Minutes)
    5. a call to an international number outside of the U.S. (either mobile or landline):
Not deducted from the Verizon Wireless calling plan
Deducted from Skype Credit (either a plan or Pay As You Go).
Billed according to Skype long distance pricing
Call details appear on the Skype account.

  • HSA Benefit Plan: Employee Contr and Employer Contr deductions not happenin

    Hi Experts,
For a couple of our empls, the Employee Contr and the Employer Contr wagetypes for HSA Benefit Plans are not showing up in the payroll log. For other empls, all is fine.
Here's what the payroll log in running regular payroll looks like in processing of function P0169 for this HSA benefit plan:

Employee contribution pre-tax: 35.00 USD Weekly

Post-tax contributions start only after pre-tax limit is reached
    BAdI "Check Contribution Limits" implemented
    BAdI "Evaluate Er Contrib" implemented
    Final result contributions:
    Employee contribution pre-tax: 35.00 USD
    Employer contribution: 19.24 USD
    BAdI "Proration" implemented
Processing proration for 12/27/2010 - 12/27/2010 results in:
    ========================================================
Here no wagetype is showing up though they are getting calculated above.
    Regards,
    Somdeb.

    The issue has been resolved.
The Savings Plan HSAF had a co-requisite Health Plan HDP and we had to add this co-requisite plan for the empl.
Also the P0169 function had to be changed from BEG to CHK in the payroll schema which did the trick.

  • Implementing a US Customer Driven Health Care Plan and HSA

We are implementing a US CDHP and HSA and we have employees situated from California to New York.  We are using a third party for Benefits and as such we only have to create Wage Types so that they can pass to our Payroll which is run in house.  I understand the HSA is pre-tax federally but I understand also that in California, Alabama and New Jersey the deduction is taxed at a state level.  My question is - do we have to deduct state taxes for the HSA or is it the responsibility of the employee to ensure that the amount shown on W2 form Box 12 gets added to their state taxes at tax time?

    Carolina,
CA, NJ and AL - These are golden states - well this has been said for these states that if the HSA earns dividends or interest, these are tax free on a federal basis, but need to be reported on state tax returns. So you have to deduct state taxes on HSA.
    Thanks,
    Ashish
