I have an IPAD 2 that I forgot the password to sign on the device. Can anyone help me with this? How do I force the IPAD2 in to recovery mode?

Did you connect it to iTunes?  This is from that link...
Alternatively, place the device in recovery mode and restore it to erase the device:
Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device.

how can i unlock my iphone 4 i forgot the password?

If you have a passcode to the screen lock that you've forgotten, restore the device from the computer to which the device is synced. For information and instructions, see:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212
If that will not work, you'll need to put the device into Recovery Mode and then try the Restore again:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
If your device is running iOS 7 and you set up Find My iPhone, you'll need to enter in your Apple ID and password to activate the device after restoring:

  • A friend created 3 accounts on his iPhone 5 but forgot the passwords. He can't reset the password as yahoo address is no longer valid. Erasing the phone doesn't solve the issue. How to register the phone with Apple?

A computer illiterate friend created 3 accounts on his iPhone 5 but forgot the passwords. He can't reset the password as his yahoo address is no longer valid. Erasing the phone doesn't solve the issue as the Apple server identifies the hardware as registered. How to register the phone with Apple?
I helped him create a new email address and new iCloud account on my Mac but when we try to register the phone with Apple it says: Maximim accounts limit reached for this device. How can he register the phone? I read different threads and found out that only Apple care can do that. We're in Romania and don't know where to call. Any suggestions on how we fix this?

When I checked the support site for Romania, you apparently don't have an Apple Care contact center.  You "may" try calling the US Apple care number to verify the account and have the password reset sent to a different email address.  800-694-7466

  • I can't update any of my apps. I have an old email address that I forgot the password to. I set up a new apple idea (I do know the password to this one), but every time I try to update my apps, it brings me back to my old email.

I've tried many times to get rid of my old iTunes account. I have made a new Apple ID and I do remember the password. My 2 main problems are, i can't update ANY of my apps (and I have 53 to update now), and I can't get rid of my old old email that I forgot the password to. Every time I try to reset the account and start a new iTunes account, it will ask me for my new email. I've tried multiple times to change it, bbut every time i do, it asks me to put a password when for my old email that I forgot the password to reset the account.

Once you purchase or download an app it will always be associated with the Apple ID used to download it. When that app requires and update you must use the Apple ID and password used to download it in the first place. The only way around this is to delete the apps the require the old Apple ID and download or purchase them again with the new Apple ID.

  • Is there any way to get into your iPhone if you forgot the password

is here some way to get into your iPhone 4s after you forgot the password to it?

You will have to follow the procedures here:

Can I disable the "find iPhone" to restore the iPhone because I forgot the password

The passcode for the device or the password for your Apple ID?
If you know your Apple ID password, then you can go to www.icloud.com and not only remove the device from FMiP, but you can actually do a remote wipe, which will reset the device to factory settings.

  • How can I reset my iPad that I forgot the password to my linked account.

My iPad is linked to an old gmail account of mine that I believe has been hacked.  I have tried everything to
reset my gmail password and it hasn't worked.  I think someone changed all of my information.  I have
tried to reset my iPad by holding down the home button and power button and connecting to iTunes.  I
did the restore but now it is saying "This iPad is currently linked to an Apple ID. Sign in with the Apple ID
that was used to set up this iPad."  It provides me with the Apple ID: m*****@gmail.com and wants me
to enter the password but I don't know the password and have tried everything to retrieve it.  There's nothing
on the iPad so I don't care about erasing any data.  How can I reset the iPad so that I can use it?  Is there
another method besides the one I have already tried?

If your iPad is running iOS 7, there is no way you're going to be able to regain access to your iPad without the password for the Apple ID used by that iPad. You cannot even restore the iPad to factory settings without the password. This is an anti-theft feature.
You will need to contact Apple and try to regain control of your Apple ID. It is entirely possible, however, for the hacker to make changes to your Apple ID that would make it difficult or impossible to do that. You need to act as quickly as possible!

  • How do I get on my iPhone if I forgot the password?

Just the password to get into the phone.

You must not own an iOS device. It makes you enter the password before you can reset all settings. Afterwards you do not have a passcode. Please do not post fictitious information on these forums.
    Don't post irrelevant information either.
If I know the PASSCODE for the device, then I can use the PASSCODE to get into the iPhone, then go to Settings > General > Passcode, enter the SAME PASSCODE again, and disable the PASSCODE or change it.
To Reset All Settings, you have to enter the PASSCODE (as well as the RESTRICTIONS PASSCODE if you have one).
In order to use the method you've described to reset the PASSCODE, you have to KNOW the PASSCODE to do so.  If the goal is to simply change the PASSCODE, then the first method I described is far easier, faster, and does not affect anything else on the device.
If you do not know the PASSCODE, as the OP described, then your method is totally and completely useless.
There is no Reset on the iPhone that resets the PASSCODE which does not require that you already KNOW the PASSCODE.
You cannot Reset the PASSCODE on an iPhone without knowing the PASSCODE.  You have to use recovery mode or a Remote Wipe via Find My iPhone.

  • My main account on my iPad is based off an email address that no longer exists and can not be recreated.  On top of that I forgot the password and answers to the security questions.  So I can not reset the password.  any suggestions?

I Now get constant pop ups to logon to iCloud but it wants a password that I forgot.  I also forgot the security question answers.  It can not email me a password reset because the email no longer exists and Verizon won't let me recreate it.  I know this will sound crazy but when I created the original Apple account with the old email address I put in a bogus birthdate because I do not like giving out personal info.
i Just want to do something to stop the iCloud popups.

Try contacting Support in your country, after confirming your id and that it's your account they should be able to reset its password.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT5699
If your country isn't on that page then try this form and explain and see what they reply with : https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
When they've done that update the primary email address on the account to be an account that you have access to e.g. by tapping on it in Settings > iTunes & App Store and logging into it, via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes, or via the 'manage your apple id' button on http://appleid.apple.com

  • How to restart an iphone that has completely died and can not be recharged

Today for some reason my iphn4S completely died and I can not turn it on or even recharge it. It was not flat so I dont know why it died. I can not even start it through iTunes. Any comment on ways to start it or is it stuffed? It is only 6 months old.

You are both right - I had to plug it in and then by holding both switches for longer than normal - it finally started. I have now rushed to back it up with all my valuable info and am still following up with the tech support as it was really warm and did not have any aplications running, so I doubt that it is going to be reliable from now on - and I can not trust it ....
    thanks for your help

  • How to unlock my iphone if i forgot my password

    i really need help

The only way to remove a passcode from a device is to restore it. I would back the device up as it is in itunes and then restore. Then restore from the backup and see if the passcode has been removed. This method occasionaly works. If it doesn't and you are still stuck with the pass code, you will need to restore as new. This articel will provide additional information on how to accomplish this:
