If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).
Tip 2 - If you're updating via wifi, place your iPad close to your router to preclude getting a corrupted download.

Today I updated MS Explorer from version 6 to 8. I can't see videos in you tube neither using explorer neither mozilla Firefox

HT201210 Question I have a 4.3.5(8L1) iPod Touch. I have been unable to update it to ios 5 and a retail store wants $50 to do it. Many apps now require as a minimum ios5. Can anyone help me?

That is normal, for major upgrades to erase your iPod. You need to sync everything to your computer, make sure it gets a backup, and then post-update restore your iPod from the backup and sync back all your apps and content. See:

User can't see scheduled reports in Scheduling Manager window. Version 11.1.1.4.0.

One of our business users has scheduled a number of reports, but nothing appears in the Scheduling Manager window. I can see them when I log in as Administrator. We're on 11.1.1.4.0. Thank you.

But here is the info... Worked like a charm!
Start --> Programs --> Accessories (Right Click on Command Prompt) --> Run as Administrator
then type in:
netsh winsock reset

As I was cleaning up my mac, I accidentally deleted some files obviously vital for iPhoto. I want to download the new version, but am not sure I can access my photos. Should I download the new version or restore the old one somehow?

I know the files were vital to iPhoto because I can't open it now. Can you restore these files?

Probablhy not unless you know exactly what needs to be restored
You need to restore the entire library from your backup before these files were deleted - it is not adviseable to upgrade the iPhoto application until you resolve your iphoto library problem
In the future always remember the number one rule of iPhoto - NEVER make and changes of any sort to the structrue or content of the iPhoto library

We can't afford to have different db instance for different version due to server resource.
We need to keep different version so that easier to support our users who are using different version of our application.

HT2311 it won't let me install because I don't have 10.6.8 updated version? I have checked for updates and nothing comes up. I can't access Itunes to download Iphone photos etc....

Itunes doesn't recognize my Iphone 4 or Iphone 5. I get a pop up that says it requires me to install Itunes updated version of 10.7 to access my phones.
When I go to install version 10.7 it says I can't because my system needs to be updated to version 10.6.8?

If you're on a Leopard operating system (10.5.8), you're not going to be able to sync to the iPhone 5. (The iPhone 5 needs iTunes 10.7.0.21, and that's only available for Snow Leopard, Lion or Mountain Lion.)
You should still be able to sync to the iPhone 4S if you've got iTunes version 10.6.3.25 installed. (Your Leopard operating system supports that.)

An upgrade from 10.3.x to 10.4 is a paid upgrade.
You need to purchase a retail copy of 10.4.

and then you should see the crm version in your Component version.

I have to install Flash Player ActiveX 10.1.x or 10.3.x because it is required by my application. 11.x version I tried made issues.
I downloaded various 10.x versions : they all told me that this version is not the newest => I can only quit the installation.
How can I avoid that message ?

Please run the appropriate uninstaller linked below. That should allow you to run older installers without receiving that error.

How do I remove version 1.4.1 after upgrading to version 2.3?

Hi all,
I have just upgraded to version 2.3 and left version 1.4.1 in place.
I gather that they are independent but I would now like to remove version 1.4.1 because I can't see much point in keeping both.
In Windows XP I went to Add/Remove Programs and LightRoom 1.4.1 is no longer listed (just version 2.3 is listed there) and I can't find an uninstaller in the 1.4.1 application folder.
How do I remove version 1 without damaging my database or my version 2 installation?

Manual uptate with Itunes dosen't work, neither does the automatic one ..
The automatic one dosent work because it says:
Will search for a newer version 10.11.2020 and I can't wait that long. How can I reset the automatic search for new versions ?

I can't help you with your problem but I can tell you that the version 1.1.3 is the newest one. Maybe you should uninstall itunes and delete all the files. then you should do the 5R's. don't know if it helps but if you got any problems with your ipod that's what everyone recommends you to do.
