This is a guess, but did you try using the iCloud panel of System Preferences to log out of your old account and into your new one?

To change it on your iPhone you have go to Settings>iCloud and delete the account, then set it up again with your new credentials. When you delete the account from your phone it will delete any data you are syncing with iCloud (such as contacts and calendars) from your phone but it will remain in iCloud. Provided your are signing back into your existing account and not changing to a new account, it will be synced back to your phone when you sign back in.

OK, so did you change to the new ID on your device in:
Settings>iTunes & App Store
Settings>iCloud (if you did not delete the old iCloud account before you changed your Apple ID, then post back for instructions on how to delete it)
Settings>Messages>Send & Receive
Settings>FaceTime
You need to sign out the old Apple ID in all of these places and sign on the new one.

I recently changed my email address and want to change my Apple ID account to match. I have created a new Apple ID to match the new account but now I can't sign into iCloud on our phones or computer with the old Apple ID. Is this on your iPad or computer's iTunes ? If your iPad then tap on your id in Settigns > iTunes & App Store and log out of it and then log back in with the updated version of your account. If your computer's iTunes then you can sign out via the Store > Sign Out menu option and that will then change to Store > Sign In option

If you have any apps downloaded with the other AppleID, those apps
will ask for the other AppleID to update.
Downloads are forever tied to the AppleID used to download them.
Delete the apps associated with the unwanted ID and download them
under your ID. You will have to purchase apps that are not free.
You cannot transfer apps from one Apple ID to another, not can you
merge 2 Apple IDs.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, and your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

ALL purchases are permanently associated with whatever Apple ID was used to originally obtain them. Apps can not be updated without knowledge of that ID and, more importantly, its password. Apple IDs can not be merged and purchases can not be transferred from one ID to another.

You have to go to Settings>iCloud and tap Delete Account, then sign back in with your updated credentials. This deletes the account and your synced data from your device, but not from iCloud. I am in the same boat as all of you and have done lots of digging on this issue around the Apple Support Communities. Over the past three days, I have spent 2 hours on the phone with Apple trying to get creative about how to get around this issue (delete all my accounts and start over, etc.). Unfortunately, the bottom line message Apple gave me was this, "The ONLY way to use your @me as your primary email address is if you set it up that way at the very beginning. If you use a different email as your first primary address, you can never switch to your @me account unless you go and create a NEW @me account and start from scratch that way." So disappointed.

See these steps for setting up Wi-Fi syncing between your iPhone and new computer:

Open iTunes
To set up Wi-Fi syncing, connect your iOS device to your computer with the included USB cable. Select your device under Devices on the left-hand side.
In the Summary tab, select "Sync with this [device] over Wi-Fi".
Whenever the computer and the iOS device are on the same network, the iOS device will appear in iTunes, and you can sync it. The iOS device will sync automatically when all of the following are true:
The iOS device is plugged in to power
iTunes is open on the computer
The iOS device and the computer are on the same Wi-Fi network
While the iOS device appears in the left-hand column of iTunes, you can select the content tabs and configure sync options.
Click Apply or Sync to sync the iOS device.
If the iOS device does not appear in the Devices section or you are unable to sync, please see this article for troubleshooting.
