HT1349 My iTunes keeps crashing every single time I open a Windows PC or Laptop and the "Matching with the itunes store" starts. It's driving me nuts because I can't sync to my iphones or my ipad.

My iTunes keeps crashing every single time I open the software on any of my PCs and laptops. Once the Itunes match features starts it's ony a matter of a minute or two before the software crashes. I have tons of new songs that I want to sync to my ipod, ipad and iphones but can't get it accomplished. Any suggestions??

As above, I foolishly updated to iTunes 11.0.1 after a software update prompt on my iMac 10.6.8, thinking I was doing a good thing getting my machine ready for my daughter's new iPad mini tomorrow.
As it stands, the iPad is going to be such a let down as iTunes is crashing every single time on launch, never my own frustration having no access to my tunes. Thanks a bunch Apple.

If it helps with a solution, I have a Jan 2012 backup of the app which I cannot open receiving the following message:-

What I have ended up doing is
purchasing Snow Mountain 10.8.2 & installing
doing the disk repairs as you stated
rebooted
and eventually things seem okay with iTunes having synced an iPod, viewed playlists and played a load of tunes.
Disappointed Apple have again failed with a piece of software and have taken £13.99 that I needn't have spent but pleased to not be letting the daughter down tomorrow.

If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.

Why does iTunes SUCK??
1) Many items greyed out in the menu bar, for well over 2 years, maybe more!
2) I Can't drag more than one piece of content from your iTunes library to any device (iPhone, iPad)
If you do it gets stuck for HOURS and HOURS in "Preparing To Update" and the little activity circle never completes, ever!!
I used to be able to drag over 1000 tunes, movies, etc. go have breakfast come back and it would all be on my device!!
Can't do it anymore, one song at a time, maybe an album at a time, or one movie, and that is it!!
If you do a 2nd item the other items stop loading and never continue!!
This is so BAD, I don't understand how they don't have this fixed yet!!
Please tell me I am not the only one!!
...and If I am tell me how to fix it!

It is happening on my late 2013 IMAC, and also on my old 2011 Macbook pro.

Same thing here with Mavericks and M-Audio Fast Track Ultra. Very easy to reproduce, Apple. Set your audio interface for the external device, try to record Photo Booth video. It will crash. Every. Single. Time. Always.

Firefox is crashing every single time I try and open it

After using Firefox on my laptops for years proble free a few days ago it started crashing every single time I tried to open it,The web page opens for about one second then crashes and I get the crash report dialogue box this happens in safe mode as well. I do not have time to do any editing to my browser page as it crashes within a second. I have uninsalled and reinstalled Firefox 3.68 and have just downloaded the beta 4 to see if that might work but same problem.IE works fine and from there have tried to load dozens of websites on firefox as firefox is my default browser. As I have said the site loads no problem but instantly crashes. Very grateful for any help

If it did, I wouldn't be asking the question...... But I have since discovered what I think is at the heart of the problem:
I have my default browser as Chrome. I noticed I did not have a reply button on your post when using Chrome, I swithched to IE and their was a reply button. Hence how I am now managing to reply!
So it twigged that maybe that also had something to do with the sign of the Creative Cloud App from my notification area icon, seems werid to me but - Sure enough, now it does keep me logged in between sessions.
So are you going to fix so I do not have to set IE as my default browser?

Can you start Firefox in [[Safe mode]] ?
You can also do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

Excel 2013 crashes every single time I click on Power Query Tab and try anything

I have Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I installed Office 2013 Professional Plus 64 bit. I dont have any older versions of office. I downloaded and installed power query 64 bit. I start excel, click on power query tab and select any option, excel crashes
and closes, every single time.
The event viewer says "Excel is running into problems with "microsoft power query for excel" add-in If it keeps happening disable this add in and check for updates.

It should be the latest version of Power Query. Make sure there is no old version of power Query installed in your computer.And what happens if you reinstall Power Query add-in or repair your office program?
Also Microsoft Power Query for Excel requires Internet Explorer 9 or greater.

ITunes music pauses every single time house phone rings?

Why does this happen?

Do you have a modem connected to your computer?
Yes I do, but not the computer is it affecting. (2Wire 2701HG-B Gateway from AT&T)
Is your house phone wireless and somehow iTunes is also sharing a wireless connection over which there may be interference?
I have three wireless house phones, one of which is in the room with the machine. The machine is an iMac G4 800 Mhz with an original AirPort card installed and connected to the gateway in the other room. Yes iTunes music is shared over the network.
Is the phone right next to the computer where you could get other interference?

What are you playing with iTunes when this happens?
I am playing music as I believe that is what iTunes was originally used for, just kidding. The music plays perfectly fine and then cuts off while the phone is ringing, once picked up, it resumes, but the "play/pause" button never changes which is odd because it does in fact pause the music, no lag.

After Effects CS5 Crashes every single time I try to render a file

Hello,
I am trying to render some fairly simple motion graphics. I have an i7-860 2.8GHz computer with 16GB of RAM custom built to run After Effects. It always starts out just fine, but within about ten minutes it crashes and the computer restarts. I've done everything I can thing of from changing the amount of RAM that it uses, to the number of core processors it uses. Are there other things that I should try in order to keep AE from crashing? I've yet to get a single project to completely render.

you could always try cooling it manually,.. err
try finding a blow dryer that has an air only mode, most have them, and try running it holding they blowdryer right on your memory or cpu. if you didn't get high performance ram, and cooling tabs for the memory try cooling the memory. When memory gets too hot it starts flaking out. Also even the smallest amount of dust can cause your surfaces to cool poorly, MIT did a study that showed tiny layers of dust caused heating issues. Every now and then I take a dive tank pressurized to 200 bar and blow out everything..
Problem is testing it. almost none of the testing programs I saw got close to AE running full bore.
I've seen desktops with passive cooling at 85c the system dies instantly, you need to look at the apci tables to see what your system is set for.
I got a thermaltake case, it's alike a vacuum cleaner ,.. but different.
I guess if you want to test it try the hair dryer in cold mode. My system running 5-6 cores ND 13-14G ram runs about 65c still warm but not hot.

Can not sync iBooks via iPhone 4S to iPad or iPad to iPhone 4s

Since I updated to the new phone and software iBooks will not sync bookmarks nor book collections between any of my devices [iPad, iPhone 4S]. I have tried reinstalling the software and also playing will all settings on devices. Does anyone have a solution or is this a iCloud issue.

GUYS...! I think i finally found the ANSWER..!
Here's what i did. I first delted my iCloud accound and when promted to keep my icloud stuff on the phonei chose to delete them. NO BIG DEAL..! I'll get them back when i sign in woth that same account again. Which i did. But heres the tricky part..! Yu have to make sure that your iCloud acou t maches the account you have on the appstore or itunes. To do this, you go to: settings / store. And make sure the accounts are the same. It does not makw a difference iftheboom you're readind was. Ot purhase with the currently signed in account. Then you go to iBook (which needs to be closed at the time..! Not minimized) and open ibook. Then open the book you want to read and sync.
At that point what i got was a pop up alert askin if whether or not i wanted to sync he book or not. I selected yes. Then (for the forst time) i get another message telling me that this book has been synced to another user (which the old user that was on my phone before i changed all other users to be just one user.
The message simply asked me wich user did i want to sync my book with and of courze i xhose the user on the iPhone and the iPad loved this approach also.
