HT1386 Problem connecting Iphone 5 to Macbook Pro

My usb-doc has been broken in my macbook pro since a year now. Recently, i bough the iPhone 5. To connect my iPhone with my macbook pro trough Wifi, i need to connect it first with the USB-cable. But this is not possible now. Is there any solution?  thx (sorry for the bad english)

Well, They are. All the rest of the ports (sd, firewire800, ...) are working. I've tried 'rebooting' them, but there was water involved... Do you really need to connect With USB in the beginning?

You really have to mess with the resoluton, espescially the refresh rate, as it varies from projector to projector, monitor to monitor. Even within the same brand! Because so many manufacturers are trying so many different things to become the next cool kid on the block, and the way the formats are being configured that's now part of the game.
That's why so many professionally produced corporate shows hire a dedicated projectionist for the video presentations. Too many bugs in the honey.
Refresh & sesolution are the first things to look at.
Just so you know that colors in PowerPoint PC, and PowerPoint Mac, don't exactly match... go figure.
I forgot to mention another thing, sometimes it's the projector that needs to be tweaked.

  • Recently when I connect Iphone 4s and MacBook Pro my computer stopped see new photos on Dropbox.

Recently when I connect Iphone 4s and MacBook Pro my computer stopped see new photos on Dropbox.  I have changed iCloud password on Mac and Iphone, nothing.  Deleted some pictures of iPhone, didn't help.  Any ideas what I did to mess this up?

I cannot deleted.  Computer keep telling that my dropbox is open.  Don't see how to shot it off.  Do I need to delete all pictures from dropbox first and delete application after.  Will I loose all these pictures? Usually, I copy all photos to iphoto app.

    Don't take the cover off...
    You have voided the warranty.
Take it back to the Apple Store.
Likely you'll have to pay $229 to have it replaced.

  • Connect iPhone 5 to MacBook Pro without personal hotspot

I am trying to pair my iPhone 5 to my MBP so I can use Dialectic. I keep getting an error on the iPhone saying that this device is not supported. It seems I am supposed to turn on my Personal Hotspot, but I can't do that as I have an unlimited data plan from AT&T and if I do that it will change my data plan! I must be missing something. Please help!

Not too sure if this answers but I had problems with tethering my macbook pro to new Iphone 5. This is how I did it.  Blue sync device via Macbook. Clear all devices first so that it picks up phone then go through steps. The Macbook said all was fine the phone said forget device. Don't panic.
Go to the wifi connection on mac and you're phone should be there click on it.  It will ask for a wifi code which will be on your iphone, (not the five digit number). You'll find in settings>personal hotspot, punch that in and it should work.
I know it works coz I'm writing this, after a lot of stress and confusion.  Jeez apples supposed to be easy.
    Hope this helps.

  • Problem Synching Iphone 4S to MacBook Pro. Also can't synch Itunes Library to iPhone.

I have a problem Syncing my iPhone 4S to my MacBook Pro......when I click sync iPhone nothing happens. When it's plugged in it asks me if I want to upoad photos from my phone to my MacBook Pro, so it does recoginise that my iphone is connected. Other than that there is no recognition ie on Finder that the phone is attached.
Nor can I sync iTunes Library to iPhone. I have however successfully synced the iTunes library to my Ipod, so it seems to be an issue my iPhone?
Any suggestions , help greatly appreciated

You'll have to purchase 3rd party software if you want to extract them directly from the phone. That or e-mail them to yourself, or set up a new shared photo stream and put the photos you want in that.
The phone is not a backup device. Since the photos came from your computer to begin with, you should have a backup of them in your backup of the computer.
You may want to seriously think about investing in an internal hard drive and turning on Time Machine.

  • Can't connect iPhone 5s to macbook pro retina via bluetooth

Just downloaded Yosemite and am trying to pair my iPhone 5s to my macbook pro retina via bluetooth to take advantage of call handoff.  I cannot get the pairing to work.  It appears to try to connect, sends the pair code to my phone and I accept, but then fails.  My phone mysteriously shows two available options for my Macbook Pro.  Can't figure that out either.  I tried resetting my network settings on my phone, and did a two button reset on my phone as well.  Any suggestions?

I have a feeling this is a Yosemite bug (or iOS 8). I'm getting the same error message, and I also have 2 copies of my macbook air (2013) showing up on my phone (iphone 6 plus) . Bluetooth is on for both devices, its just still telling me it cant get network access even after momentarily saying its connected and giving me a pair code.
Update: Unpairing the phone and re-pairing doesn't fix anything. Still get a pair code, then it immediately disconnects.

Hello everyone, any ideas on how to connect my iphone to my mac, both my devices are paired but i haven't been able to connect them, every time I try to connect my iphone to my mac I get this error "Network is unavailable - Male sure network access is enable", I have tried forgetting the devices and paired them again and resetting the network settings, and even changing my iPhone's name. Of course I'm trying to connect them to take advantage of handoff  and instant hotspot.

  • Connecting iPhone 4 to MacBook Pro

I was trying to connect my iPhone to my macbook via bluetooth and I went through the bluetooth setup which was successful. Afterwards it does not connect and when i try connecting to my laptop through my phone it says my macbook is not supported. I was wondering if it has anything to do with my macbook being a older generation (not quite sure i bought it secondhand and can't find which generation it is) and not having the support with the new iPhone 4 or what. Any help is great!

The only thing you can do connecting any iPhone to any computer by bluetooth is tether. File transfer by bluetooth has never been supported. So, unless you're trying to tether, you can quit trying as your phone & computer won't pair.

  • Error message when I connect iPhone to my MacBook Pro

When I connect the phone to the computer I get this error message:
iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE800006B)
And my photos in the iPhone keep opening iPhoto every few seconds.
It's very irritating when I just want to charge the battery.
When I sync it seems to sync ok.

    Thanks for your help.
Nothing has solved the problem until...
I downloaded and itunes update the weekend.
When I plugged in my iphone to sync and charge it, the error message and photo problem has stopped.
Don't know if itunes was the solution but it seems to have stopped.
