You need to delete the music you got from your friend. You fried does not have the licence/right to give you a copy of it.
I would restore the iPod from a backup on your computer and sync your own media to the iPod.

There is no tracker application bundled with an iPod (nor iPhone nor iPad). Apple offers an app in the iTunes Store that allows an iOS device on which the "Find My..." service has been set up to be tracked from another iOS device (the app goes on the device doing the tracking). If the iPod has content for the previous owner, you should erase the iPod and setup the iPod with your ID and media

I just got iphone 5c and i am not happy with it. It uses to much data and i don't even know how. I got my ipod touch (4th generation) on March 20, 2012, and it fell out of my pocket when I jumped. Unfortunantly, the screen cracked very badly, and it has become a hazard, not only for the many cuts I have gotton on my fingers from the ipod screen's broken glass, but for what I type (because the screen is cracked so badly, I cannot see what I am doing). The ipod has become pointless to own in its condition. In itunes, when i plug my 16gb iphone in, it says i have 5.8gb of "other" filled on my phone, what is "other" and how do i delete it so i can put more music on
I know by the date of this thread that I'm probably too late to help you but I had the same problem and just figured out what the "other" really was. It is application archives.
I'll explain it if you're curious, if not just skip to the next paragraph. When you sync your device and it is trying to update apps it doesn't want to lose the old app while its doing that. So it uploads an "application archive" zip file. Those files normally get deleted once the sync is over, but If that sync gets interupted you have all those zip files there taking up space.
You don't have to restore your iOS device and lose all your contacts, messages, app data. All you have to do is use a iOS device file browser and delete some old partial apps from incompleted syncs.
I use "DiskAid" or "iFunBox" but you can use any app that can change the files on your device. I'm going to tell you how to do it using DiskAid.
First download and install DiskAid
Once it's installled open it and plug in your device.
Click on your iPhone/iPod/iPad then on:
Storage, then
Media, then
Application Archives,
Then just delete all thos zip files! (they will usually have weird name such as "com.NameOfTheCompanyWhoMadeTheApp.NameOfTheApp.zip" (Except it would have the name of the company and the app instead.
It won't change anything else on your device. It's perfectly safe.

So, as i said, my iphone got stolen like a month ago, and i purchased a new one.
I downloaded other apps in this new iphone and i think i did an error by syncing it with itunes as it seems that it doesn't have all the other apps i downloaded on the other iphone.
So I would like to know how to get back all my apps ?

Did the ringtone come as an attachment? If so just save the file. If you downloaded it when you opened the email it should be in your downloads.
