Hi! I brought an iPhone 4 off my friend at work. The day I brought it, it was working fine but now I can't seem to send any messages or make phone calls. The network is showing up fine but each time I try to make a call it says "call failed" I can't seem to send any messages either? I can use the Internet fine and everything else on the phone. You can reset the phone and it won't cause any problems or cause you to lose any data - Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Silver Apple appears.
The other thing you should do is to reset your network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will have to set up your Wifi again, but that oftentimes clears things up.

HELP --Not sure what the Problem is Port, Firewall or OTHER.
I'm pretty sure the problem is with *MY MacBook Pro* itself or a Port or Firewall setting. I'm just not sure. I tested it on my Son's Mac and it works fine when I log in using HIS Mac I have no problems at all using my account on His Mac.
Here is my problem for Posting in here. When ever I sign into my RedBox account I get the following ERROR.>>> " The page at http://www.redbox.com says:The Google Maps API server rejected your request because you do not have permission to use this service over SSL." I've contacted RedBox directly and they say it's my Mac. Got any ideals or do you need more info. ? Using either Browser FireFox or Safari give me same problem. I don't see anywhere where RedBox is denied access to my computer.My Question has been fixed / Resolved. Here is the answer. In FireFox 4.0 now under tools, Add-ons and *_IF you have HTTPS Everywhere_* Which I do then you will have to open the HTTPS Preferences box and remove check mark from Google API save or exit and restart Firefox problem fixed. I found out how to fix this from HTTPS Everywhere's own web page under Contact us. Thanks to them my problem was fixed. I guess no one uses https as a safety back up on there browser. I do.

Would appreciate some help - not sure what just happened?
This is my first post to the Forums, and I have only had my phone for a couple of days (I've never had a smartphone before either), so please bear with me if I sound completely ignorant.
I just got my HTC Droid Incredible over the weekend and I have fallen in love with it! I had no problems until just a few minutes ago. I went to answer a call, but accidentally hit the button to end the call. I just hit the "phone" button to get back into the phone dialer where I could call them back. At this point my screen just went black, and eventually brought up a little red triangle with a red exclamation point on the screen. I kept trying to turn it on but nothing would happen, so I took the battery out, put it back in, and turned it back on. It turned back on, but it brought up a screen that had a little picture of a Droid character and it had several menu options (One of them was recovery, can't remember what the other ones were). I kept hitting the volume up and power button and finally the phone turned back on, and now it seems as if everything is fine with it. Does anyone have any idea why it would do that, and what menu option I could have selected? I am afraid I did something that will mess up the phone.

Help///Not sure whats going on.. black screen
So my iphone 4s died and when i plugged it in, no charging thing popped up. I tried different chargers, car, computer etc... and when i hold the sleep button or any other button the screen stays black.
I was on my way home and my phone died, so i got home and plugged it in and it did show that it was charging, but it sat at that screen with the charging symbol for almost 20-30 minutes. So I unlugged it and tried a different charger and it did the same thing, then it just didnt show anything at all.

Things I delete on my Mac are still on my iPhone. HELP! Deleting in both places is so time consuming. It has worked until recently...not sure what changed!
Your email provider may have changed certain settings to do with deleting from server when deleting from client so that it no longer works. Are you using pop or imap? If pop then recreate the account using imap.

Hi, just bought my daughter an Iphone 4s and I can't get it to let her on youtube, Facebook etc., keeps saying no internet connection. My husband and I have 3G smartphones and we can get on them on ours, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Also, my other daughter has the same phone and has no trouble getting on these sites either. Any information to help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am trying to update my phone so I can save my info on my old phone & get a new phone, but I get a error that says "There was a problem with downloading teh software, the network connection timed out.." HELP! Not sure what my settings shoud be...
I never updated anything until now...I want o update my iPhone to the newest version, but i do not want ot loose all that I have on this phone. Not sure what I did but all of a sudden everything I touch has a voice attached to it. For instance, if I touch an icon it tells me out loud what the icon is and tells me to double click it. ***??? Help!

I updated my iphone 5 to ios 6.0.2. my wifi says its connected but doesn't work now. It doesn't matter what wifi network I connect to. It worked before updating my phone. I can no longer use facetime or use wifi at all. I'm not sure what to do to fix it.
I'm having similar issues with my phone. I got my first iPhone recently, only had an iPod touch gen4 for a little over a year. Updated to 6.0.2 when we got the phone (iPhone 5) a few days before Christmas. When I got home on the evening of January 11, my phone would not connect the router anymore. I was able to get it to connect after resetting the phone and the router, updating the router, and manually connecting. That laste for a few minutes and then wouldn't work anymore. I live in an area with very limited service, we have a network extender installed to help, and I am barely getting a 3G signal at times.
My wife's iPad 4, my touchiPod 4, and all of our laptops are working just fine on the router. When I dropped my kid off at school today, I noticed that I am not even seeing the school network anymore from the parking lot where before I got 3 or 4 bars and could connect to their wifi when I was there. Today my phone goes back and forth between seeing my home network but not connecting, to not even seeing the network at all even from the same room that the router is in.
Hope Apple fixes this problem soon.............. -
My Airport wireless is working for my two MacBook Pros and my daughter's iPod, but our iPad, Iphone and other iPod all say they need to set up an Airport Base Station but do not have the proper software. I'm not sure what to do to remedy this situation.
This might sound like a silly question, but are you sure the iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch etc.) are still trying to connect to the same network from your own Airport router, as the MacBook Pros are? If you tap Settings on them, is the network name next to where it says Wi-Fi, the right one?
I've got a weird feeling that either in the past couple of days, a neighbour got an Airport device and hasn't set it up yet (causing your iOS devices to try to help), or that perhaps there's an issue with your Airport router and they're noticing it and trying to help out, while for whatever reason, Airport Utility isn't opening itself on the MacBook Pros like it normally should if there's a problem.
If you open Airport Utility on one of the MacBook Pros, does it report any problems with your Airport device, and can you view/edit the settings on it? -

last night my iphone said it was overheated, and shut off. it has been over 24 hours and hasnt turned on since, not sure what i should do?
Perform a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. If this doesn't help, connect the phone to the charger and leave it for about 30 minutes and see if it comes on. If not, while it is connected try the reset I described first.

Can you do setup an unread mail folder that shows all unread mail regardless of what folder it really is in on the iPhone mail program somehow?
