Open iTunes, and under View, select "Show Sidebar". The old sidebar you are used to will show up, and everything will work the way it did under the old iTunes.

I fyou have "all day" event that are taking up the entire day, check the event. All day event only appear at the top of the time line (and just below the week view). I suspect they are not actually set up as all day, but have specific time frames assigned.
In teh screen shot below, "Sample" is an all day event; NFL: CAR@SF is not.

How do I use the same SubVIs in the different VIs? Those VIs have to run at the same time.

If I have two VIs.And both of them has the same SubVIs.
For example
VI1 contains:
SubVI1: Initialize Instrument
Data acquisition
SubVI2: Close Instrument
VI2 contains:
SubVI1
Monitoring the Board and VI1
SubVI2
When I run those two VIs at the same time, why can't I use SubVI2(which is in the VI1) to close the Instrument?
The function has been run correctly, but it didn't work. The VI1 did closed, but the instrument didn't closed, neither did data acquisition.
In order to close instrument, I have to run SubVI2(which is in the VI2).
What I want to do is that when I run SubVI2(which is in the VI1), then, the instrument closed and data acquisition stopped.
Is there any problem between the thread? Or anything wrong with SubVI's VI property?

That makes me think about the number of doing init & close. My project calls on that there must be a strict requirements about the number of calling those function in one process.
That is to say,when running them, if VI1 and VI2 are in different process but not in the same one, the program is going to run successfully. But now, VI1 and VI2 are threads which in the same process, so my project's strict requirements makes them run failue.I used SPY++ to analysis, and found those two threads are actually in one process.

Do your children have separate user accounts on the shared mac? They can have their own user accounts with their own AppleIDs, but you could put the iTunes Library into a shared folder, or better an external drive with the ignore ownership option set.

I now have two copies of the same song in iTunes. One is "Matched" and one is "Purchased." How do I remove one, and which one should I remove?

I subscribe to iTunes Match. One day a couple months ago I noticed that my iTunes library was populated by a new collection of songs. Songs I already had and were identified as Matched. All of a sudden, I not only had the"Matched" copy, but also another copy labelled "Purchased." When I went to "View" --> Duplicates, sure enough there was about 180 songs that had been added to duplicates. All 180 were identified as "Purchased" and all were identified as purchased on the same date. That common date was often several years after the date associated with the Matched version. ALL had the SAME purchase date. No one in our house of 4 Mac computers sharing the same Apple Account and having the same iTunes libraries had purchased any songs on that date...7/19/13. All at around 10:30 PM, plus or minus a minute.
Has anyone had this same experience? I tried to remove the "Matched" copy of each song knowing that the "Purchased" copy would not count to my iTunes Match total. But, that didn't work. It appears I am stuck with both copies.
When the recent update to iTunes (v11.0.5) came out, I thought it may address this issue. No go. I still have all these duplicates of the same song. I mean...THE SAME SONG! AT least as far as I can tell by checking all the information associated with each. Same name, same artist, same everything. As far as I can tell, there is nothing that could "fake out" iTunes Match to think these were different versions.
And ideas what happened and what I can do?

I checked my "purchases" and the 7/19/13 purchases don't show up. However, the earlier versions from usually several years back...the ones that are Matched...often do show up in my Purchases. I suspect that somehow those REALLY purchased several year old versions were deleted and redownloaded by me so I could change them to the 256 kbps versions under iTunes Match. They were probably 128 kbps versions originally when purchased.
Why the earlier versions that were really purchased are now identified as Matched is puzzling.
Why I now have Purchased versions from 7/19/13 is puzzling too...especially since these versions do NOT show up in my purchases.
Calling Apple Support if a good idea unless someone can explain this mystery. I might even take one of my laptops to the Apple store and show a Genius.

IPod skipping iTMS songs - but only one account

I'm not sure what my iPod is exactly. It's a 40GB mono screen iPod, about five years old. I thought that made it a 'classic' but perhaps not... anyway.
Since I updated iTunes last, the update deauthorised my accounts on my MacBook. One of these was my current account and I've got that up and running again fine. The second one was an old account from when I was on AOL which the nice Apple people kindly helped me convert into an Apple ID account and that, too, is now running again on my MacBook.
The weird thing is that that account won't play on my iPod. It just skips through all those songs.
It will however play them if I connect my iPod to my MacBook and play through the MacBook speakers. I've tried authorising it but it says my accounts are already authorised and anyway, I don't think that's quite how you do it on an iPod.
I'm sure it's something fairly simple but it's getting frustrating now.
I have tried doing a hard reset on the iPod, holding down Menu and the centre button but it still skips through songs on this one account.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Roaming: Heck! I think you are right. I'm not at home right now to check so I think I can check on that only through itunes. But, as I now recall, this happened to me before. These are all Christmas songs and I set them to skip after Christmas so "by artist" they are not included. The 158 are tracks added since last year and I forgot to set. Ugh!

I have discovered many copies of many photos on my iPhone. My lib has only about 1800, my iPhone has about 7700 and is nealry full.
Hoe can I replace duplicates. When I try to do this by synching I get the message that 900 items could not be synched. See iTunes for help. They were no hlep.

Wonder why it said contact itunes - they have nothing to do with your pictures so that was odd. Maybe it was just a general message.

Prevent multiple users from updating coherence cache data at the same time

I have a web application which have a huge amount of data instead of storing the data in Http Session are storing it in coherence. Now multiple groups of users can use or update the same data in coherence. There are 100's of groups with several thousand users in each group. How do I prevent multiple users from updating the cache data. Here is the scenario. User logs-in checks in coherence if the data there and gets it from coherence and displays it on the ui if not get it from backend i.e. mainframe systems and store it in coherence before displaying it on the screen. Now some other user at the same time can also perform the same function and if don't find the data in coherence can get it from backend and start saving it in coherence while the other user is also in the process of saving or updating. How do I prevent this in coherence. As have to use the same key when storing in coherence because the same data is shared across users and don't want to keep multiple copies of the same data. Is there something coherence provides out-of-the-box or what is best approach to handle this scenario.

actually I believe, that if we are speaking about multiple users each with its own HttpSession, in case of two users accessing the same session attribute in their own session, the actually used cache keys will not be the same.
On the other hand, this is probably not what you would really like, you would possibly like to share that data among sessions.
You should probably consider using either read-through caching with the CacheLoader implementor doing the expensive data retrieval (if the data to be cached can be obtained outside of an HTTP container), or side caching with using Coherence locks or entry-processors for concurrency control on the data retrieval operations for the same key (take care of retries in this case).

One session executes: select ... for update/select ... for update nowait
The other session also executes: select ... for update/select ... for update nowait
Two sessions happens at the same time unluckily. Whether they will all stand by because of "for update" or quit immediately because of "nowait"?

No, it's not.
A deadlock is when sesson-A has a lock on something that session-B needs in order to continue, and at the same time, session-B has a lock on something that Session-A needs in order to continue. They BOTH have something the other needs.
In the OP's case, at least as he described it, it is simple serialization. The one with the lower scn will go, then the next.

Why don't you try? You can setup a small table with some records, open 2 sessions to the same database and for example issue UPDATE statements:
session 1: update where id=1
session 2: update where id=2
session 1: update where id=2 - this will hang waiting for session 2 to commit and free lock
session 2: update where id=1 - ORA-00060
You may also read about deadlocks in chapter on "Data Concurency and Consistency" of "Oracle Concepts'.

One Acrobat XI Standard License on two desktop Computers at the same time?

I am a bit confused, according to http://www.adobe.com/be_en/products/acrobatstandard/faq.html one license on 2 PCs are OK.
But according to http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/end-user-license-agreements-faq.html and several threads I got via google one license on 2 PCs are limited.
What is right now? I need it for 2 desktop PCs in one company, and they do have to work at the same time of course.

If you need the two installations to be used at the same time then you need to purchase two licenses. A single user license is exactly that, a single user at a time.

i have try to generate two signals at the same time and read voltage from another port on the board(not have to be at the same time), i have not alot of expriens in labview
and i based my code of example(http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/5197) from yours site and try to suit to my needs
now my problem is when i generat the 2 signals(that work perfect) i canot read voltage from another port on my CB-68LP
i can not find the problem and make it over i hope there is away to figer out and fix it.

The AO tasks is very important they will be synchronize ,it is very importent the two tasks will start at the same time
and after it run at synchronize mode i will need to make reading of voltage
i gust try to make simulation of machin (i give that machin AO and reading from it voltage that all)
first of all i make the two signals(synchronize signals).
and after it i will need to reading voltage.
i can make two signals synchronize together.
i can make reading voltage
but i can't make two signals synchronize together with reading voltage
it throw to me this error message.

Lightroom quits when Photoshop CS4 is open at the same time

When I have Lightroom open at the same time as Photoshop CS4 I get the message Lightroom has encountered a problem and has to shut down. I am running the latest version of Lightroom using a PC with XP professional 64 bit. Also occasionally Lightroom reverts back to an old catalogue. Does anyone else have these problems?

Just FYI, Lightroom is not supported on XP 64 bit. This might be one of the reasons why. You might need Vista or 7. I do know many people still run it on XP 64 though.

Bridge Calendar - Appointments at the same time

Hi,
I could only find one reference to this issue which was some time ago and didn't really answer my problem.
If I have 2 appointments at the same time on my phone calendar they appear next to each other and I can get to both to view or edit. On the PB bridge calendar one will appear on top of the other and I can only get to that one and not the other (I make all appointments 0 minutes long as otherwise my calendar gets to be too crowded to view properly) .
I have the latest OS for both my BB and PB and would be grateful to know if this can be resolved?
