HT1535 Sync doubts

I would like to sync my iPhone with a new mac computer that has no information at all, but I don't want to loose any information on the phone. I want to transfer the info from the phone to the computer (photos and videos mainly) How can I do this? I am not currently using cloud and I don't intend to in the future either.

I have an I phone 4S and lately some of my songs that I have purchased on I tunes will not sync across to my iphone. I drop them into my playlist as I manage my phone content manually & I can see them in the playlist in my computer I tunes but they wont transfer to my phone. They are legally purchased so I cant figure it out. Would apprciate any tips to overcome this problem.

Try changing the option to Manually manage music and videos and then drag and drop the songs that you want to see if it changes.

Nokia Ovi Suite - Messages Sync doubt

Hi all,
I have this doubt concerning the messages sync:
Let's imagine, I make a sync between my nokia, so all the messages are copied and appear in the Ovi Suite. Some other day I decide do delete some messages on the cell phone. When I sync it again with the Ovi Suite, will it delete those same messages or will they remain?
I didn't find an option to chose whether I could chose the kind of synchronization, since I would like to delete some SMS from the cellphone but keep them intact in my computer.

AFAIK Nokia Ovi Suite Message sync is one-way sync, ie., u can sync ur handset's messages from ur device to Nokia Ovi Suite and the other way is not possible. Xprts confirm
If u delete few messages from ur device after synching those with Nokia Ovi Suite, then if sync is successful means, ur messages will b there on both handset and on ur device. Once if u delete ur messages from device and then if u sync ur handset with nokia ovi suite for message sync, ur deleted messages on the phone will not get deleted from nokia ovi suite and becuase of ur sync even the deleted messages will get restored from nokia ovi suite to ur device, as i said earlier it is only one way sync.
Still if u want the deleted messages to b restored on ur device, what all can b done is u can drag ur messages from Nokia Ovi suite's message pane to ur device, then the deletd mssgs can b stored on ur device too.
If u delete ur messgae on message pane section of Nokia ovi suite, then only ur messages will get deleted from nokia ovi suite.

HT1535 sync calendars and contacts to laptop- Windows 8.1

I just bought a new laptop running Windows 8.1 and tried to sync calendars and contacts to my iPhone and iPad to the laptop. Contacts were OK, but my iPhone has developed a second calendar called 'Outlook Calendar' and none of the entries in 'Calendar' [which is the one I use] will sync.

HT1535 Syncing question about the iPad mini?

I have removed some videos from my library on iTunes that have been added into my iPad in the past. I did that so I can save some memory on my computer and don't want to take up so much space. Is there a possible way to sync more videos into my iPad so that files that are already in my iPad wont get deleted? This is a huge problem for me because I do not want to re-download previous videos on my computer every single time I want new videos in my iPad.

If you manually manage the content on your iPad as described on that page then you should be able to copy new content to it (by dragging from your library over and onto the iPad device) :
After following the steps above, you can add individual songs, videos, and playlists from iTunes to your device. Just drag the item to the iPhone, iPad, or iPod icon in the Devices list on the left-hand side of the iTunes Window.
If you have iTunes 11 on your computer then you can get the left-hand sidebar to show via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC

What all will be erased if I click "Erase and Sync"?
I still have all my music on a Flash drive and can put all my photos on there too. What will be deleted off my phone if I click that button? I really need to put more music on my phone and I cant until I erase and sync. Any kinda help is greatly appreciated.

Copy any pictures and video (that are synced to the device) from the old comptuer to the new computer
If syncing contact to the computer, copy those from the old computer to the new computer.
Launch iTunes.
Everything in iTunes on the new computer will be exactly as it was on the old computer.
Sync, nothing will be lost.

HT1535 sync devices with different memory

I have an iPod and an iPhone. My iPod has more memory than my iPhone and is able to sync all music from my iTunes folder.
My iPhone has less memory and only syncs part of my iTunes library, then doesn't download the rest.
How can I manage what music is synced to my iPhone, without it impacting my iPod (where I want it to sync all)?

Create a playlist that is used to sync with the iPhone, and manage its content to use no more than the available device memory.

Droid vs droid

I've had the Droid incredible now for 3 weeks and I'm so angry with the battery issue that I'm taking it back tomorrow to get a refund. Are the other Droids any better with the battery or the same? I've done everything to the phone to make the battery life better and its still pathetic. Why have a phone that you have to turn down or turn off features to get the battery to last longer. I unplug it at 100% and 5mins later with out using it 90%. Then I surf a few sites, a few texts and 25mins later I'm at 60%. Screw that.. This phone sucks **bleep**. My friends iPhone lasts all day and he uses the heck out of it. And no I don't have the bigger battery.. I don't want a bulky phone. I want a thin phone that I can check out websites, get my mail, facebook & text w/o having a dead battery 5 hrs later.. I'm very disappointed.

I believe the instructions above are for the X? As for the Incredible, the bottom line is the battery life is terrible, it can be improved but never satisfactory until a patch fix is released (much like 2.1 released update1) You mentioned you didn't want a bulky phone? I would stay away from the X then ...I am a pretty big guy with big hands and the size of it is awkward, unless you use the phone primarily for browsing, messaging and game play. I believe the X is still running 2.1 so you will see a difference in the battery life, but much like the DInc, its not a guarantee you will receive the same amount of battery life (my guess is you will see a decrease on the X once 2.2 is pushed)
The battery going down immediately after a charge can be resolved with a bump charge. Leave your phone on and charging ...once the light is green, leave plugged in and turn off. You will notice the light will go back to orange indicating the battery is not fully charged. After about 20 minutes the light will turn green and when powered back up, you will notice the battery no longer shoots down 5-10 percent. I have 5 batteries (3 standard and 2 extended) and it works on each. It does help the battery last a little longer.
Trust me, I have been on here complaining about this phone since 2.2 has been released and very disappointed with 2.2 but luckily I sit in front of a computer all day so I can always charge it. There are several tips to keep your battery going, first thing is make sure to not have any task killers or app preventers on ...that will drain the battery even more. Training your battery for a few days will help ...such as charging the phone completely (with the bump charge) and let it drain. Charge it about halfway and drain it again ...training it will help it manage a little better but installing/uninstalling apps while doing so may interfere with the routine it is trying to create.
Its a pain in the butt I know, but like most people, I am stuck with this phone until 4G kicks in and new devices are rolled out so I am being hopeful and patient.
Searching these forums you will find several successful tips from users, but I would begin with the bump charge and the training of the battery.
Other things you can do is ...
1) Leave GPS off until needed
2) Leave WiFi off until needed
3) Make sure to properly exit programs and applications (back all the way out instead of hitting your home key)
4) Limit syncs (doubt many users want News, Stocks and Weather updated every hour)
5) Avoid constantly killing pre installed apps (let them run, because they will just turn back on after a reboot or a phone call)
6) Decrease brightness (surprisingly the lower the brightness doesn't necessarily affect seeing the display of the phone)

You can cache the cloud documents that you most often read by opening them once when the network is available. Edits made to these documents would be automatically synced back to the cloud if the network is available. If for any reason the network is not available, these would be synced the next time network becomes available.

Doubt on Sync-Async bridge using BPM

                 I had a doubt on Sync-Async bridge using BPM,
   1. If sender system is SAP system and receiver system is non-sap system then while configuring in Integration Directory how many Receiver Determinations should be done ?
2.Plz explain if we have 2 receivers i.e one sender SAP system and 2 non-sap systems then what will be the no. of receiver determinations?
3.How we have to count no. of receiver determinations if we have 2 receivers and 1 receiver system? If so what is the no. of receiver determinations in case of 1 receiver syst and 2 receiver systems?
Plz clarify above questions good answers will be definetly rewarded.

... Sync-Async bridge and Recievr determination are not related....
Sync-Async bridge means.. u r sending some request syncronously...and u r expecting the response also in synchronous way... but u r not getting the response directly...u r getting it via BPM..i.e asynchornously.....

and here if u have 2 reciver... u have to create 2 receiver determination and ofcourse for BPM one reciver dtrmination is required.... since in BPM related scenario BPM will act as a reciver...BPM(IP) wil first recive the message then it will be forwarded to Receiver system!!! so total 3.

r u telling that u r having two recivers and each receiver is receiving messages using 2 interaces???
u have 2 use 2 receiver determination and 4 interface determination.

Doubt on Sync-asynch Bridge

hi all,
I was trying to understand the sync-asynch bridge concept and from what all i have read i have come to know that there is a sync-asynch and also asynch-sync bridge.This is used in a scenario say file-rfc-file.But i have done the same scenario without the bridge.I am still not clear where this bridge will fit into.
Can anybody please explain me with suitable examples..

Hi,
File-RFC-file is Async-sync communication. There is nothink like async-sync bridge in BPM. Because for this, 3 steps are needed
1. Receive - async
2. send - sync
3. send - async
But for Sync-async scenario, a Sync-async bridge should opened using receive step.
Example : Http request - File && File - Http response
Steps:
1. Receive - open sync-async bridge --> To receive Http request
2. Send - async --> To send message to File adapter.
3. Receive - async --> To receive message from File adapter
4. Send - close sync-async bridge --> To send Http response
