HT1541 the gift an app hasnt been delivered? even though its been sent twice. And there is no way to cancel one of the gifts?

my dad has sent me a gift an app for the new game 'grand theft auto san andreas' on the app store at around 17:00 today. After a while (around half an hour to an hour) the gift an app redemption email was not recieved. my dad then decided to gift it once more. the time is now 21:30 and both gift an app redemption emails have still not been recieved. i have double checked through all of my emails, in every folder and no emails are anywhere to be found. we have both checked that he got my email address correct, and it was. we have also tried going into 'account' on the app store to try to directly resend it but no option ever came up. i have tried canceling one of the 'gift an apps' but i have found no way to directly cancel it. i am now worried that my dad is going to be charged twice for an app he only wanted to buy once. and i am also worried i may not even get a redemption email. please help!

What operating system does your iMac have? (please always post your operating system to prevent confustion).
If it's pre-Lion you will have to set Mail up manually:

Second time also the service centre replaced the battery but were unable to give me a reason.
I had asked them to replace the laptop as this has been happening repeatedly and seems to be something with the laptop
otherwise why should every battery they put swell ?
This is the third time this has happened. And now they refuse to replace the battery or the laptop also.
What is the solution?

Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store and press the problem. Elevate to store manager if necessary. Maybe the charging circuits are defective resulting in overcharging which is causing the battery problem.

You cannot update iPhone 4 to IOS 8.1.2, the highest you can update is IOS 7.1.2.

In this case you would have to reset your new device (Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings) in order to restore it from a backup during the device setup.

Your 1 year warranty starts the date of purchase of the original device. If the device is replaced that original warranty stays the same on the new device. Each replacement does come with a 90 day warranty. So if you're out of that original 1 year warranty... you will be covered for atleast 90 days on your replacement device.

Hoping someone can help. I purchased a Big Fish Game app from itunes for my Ipad 1. I decided to delete it and reinstall it as there were some errors in the game. When I visit itunes to reinstall it it doesnt give me the option to reinstall/re-download and has it marked as downloaded even though its not now on my Ipad. I have already deleted and re-downloaded something else so I believe I know how to do this. Its a paid app so I would rather not delete it from itunes as an option.

Says I do not have permission to update to 4.0 for Mac OS - even though it's my computer and I'm the admin.

I'm on Mac OS 10.6.7 on a new macbook pro. Trying to update to Firefox 4.0 but when I attempt to drag the update into my Apps folder, it says I do not have permission to update - even though it's my computer and I'm the admin. I've restarted the computer and reattempted, but it still did not work.

If you get an error message that you do not have sufficient permissions or if you have problems with updating then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

If I'm understanding you correctly, those apps have stopped working and you are getting a message saying that they won't work with this version of Mac OS X when you try to open them. Is that right? If so, have you moved those apps out of their original locations? That is a bad idea, as it prevents them from being properly updated. If this is what has happened, what version of the system were you running before they stopped working, and what version are you running now, after installing the update that has made them stop working?

this is exactly the kind of response i expected, almost begged support to please not do this to me and yet there it is another meaningless, non helpful, standard template response to restart my apple tv.
this does NOT work which is why i am contacting you. i have tried all suggestions about unplugging and restarting and nothing works.
i live in an apartment and logon to the provided wifi wireless. so i do not have access to a router. however, management says they have talked with their provider and have been assured that the required ports are available.
remember all the jokes about how bad windows was because the solution was always to re boot. funny huh? how is apple any different.
