HT1725 A rental movie stopped downloading and says there was an error. I am unable to get the download to resume.
How can I resume a movie rental download when it has been interrupted and says there was an error?
Getting used to changes in the finder. I finally did see the Adobe Patch installer and am able to update applications individually. Should be able to attend to the main apps I use w/o further difficulty. Thnx for the help.

I'm trying to install iTunes on my computer running Windows 7 Home Premium. I'm not sure if iTunes is compatible with my computer operating system because when I try to install it, it says the installation is completed but it says there was an error so it won't let me get itunes! Natalie.I just tried running the Lenovo Hard Drive Quick Test both in normal mode and in safe mode. Both times it indicated a failed read test on the HDD. The last two tests also failed. I forget what those tests were called.
I am really beginning to think I have a bad HDD and the problem just happens to be in the reserved partition where my factory system software resides. -
I am trying to use Migration Assistant but it tells me that there is an error when using it - but it doesn't tell me what and I only have teh option to quit!
I would recommend carefully reading Pondini's guide on using Migration Assitant, if you still have trouble you have 90 days of free telephone support from Apple via AppleCare. Pixlemator had less than a minute to finish downloading, then stopped. I go to the purchase page and it says install. When I click on install it says there was an error and tells me to go to purchase page.
Try deleting the cache associated with the App Store.
Quit the App Store if it's open.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Relaunch the App Store and try re downloading the app.
If that didn't help, open Sysem Preferences > Security & Privacy then select the General tab.
Select: Mac App Store and identified developers
If that area is greyed out, click the padlock icon to make changes. You may be prompted for your admin password.
Then try downloading the app. -

I cannot install Adobe on my desktop or laptop. It stops at about 50% and says there is an error. What should I do differently?

I'm trying to download an epsiode of Dr. Who, but the download is saying it will take 24 hours, and then it stops and says "there was a problem downloading; an unknown error occured (50). How can I fix this? I don't think it's my internet, it's really pretty fast.

Hi - in the app store, I've logged in with no problem, but when I go into my existing purchases and have INSTALL next to everything I've bought, and try to click on them it says;
"There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (100)".
I've tried restarting, clearing all caches, buying and downloading new apps (which works), and also buying and downloading more music from iTunes too (so I update all T&C's etc too, and update all payment info). Change your Date & Time settings to reflect automatic. It will fix the problem.

I just bought aperture and downloaded it from app store. when I try to open the app I get a warning message that says: There was an error opening the database for the library “~/Pictures/Aperture Library.aplibrary”. The only option the is to quit. What is wrong?

not sure what the problem might be, but you can try the following:
While pressing ALT+CMD on the keyboard, click on the Aperture icon in the dock: Aperture then opens in a special "recovery mode", and you're prompted to choose what kind of repair you need: Repair Permissions / Repair Database / Rebuild Database
Considering the situation, I'd recommend you to try "the "Repair Permissions" option first.
If that isn't enough (and it may well be the case), then go straight for the "Rebuild Database" option; it's a non-destructive opration anyway, but since you've just installed Aperture you shouldn't have anything valuable in the default library...
NOTE: if you do have some pictures in the library, instead, do a backup first! Time Machine is your friend
Another option would be to launch Aperture while keeping only the ALT (option) key pressed: Aperture will ask you what library you want to open, or you can choose to create a new one from scratch.

First try resetting your iPad and then try updating again.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If it still will not work, try updating using iTunes. But before you do that, disable your firewall and your antivirus software, then try the update again. -

I'm on Windows 8.1 and I just installed the latest Firefox version and I wanted to install Firebug and Stylish extensions. But now it says: "There was an error downloading Stylish. Try again". The same versions of extensions and Firefox works fine on Windows 7.0.

ARD not recognizing client machine.
