The sort fields should generally be empty unless you've putting in custom values to sort solo artists by their surnames. You can apply common changes to thousands of tracks at once, just don't apply the wrong change because there is no undo.
It is a good idea to backup before undertaking large scale changes. See this backup tip for a suggested approach.

If he has iMessage on his iPad set to receive at his iPhone's phone number, that is exactly what is supposed to happen. There's nothiing you can do - he needs to remove his iPhone number from his "you can be reached at" iMessage settings on his iPad.

My Iphone5 updated today with new iOS 6.1 and while doing that it has sync my phone number with my wife number in the same icloud due to which we receive each others SMS when we message each other. Anyone have idea how can I fix this issue in settings etc

My iPods pictures got deleted when my ipod crashes I have over 32,000 pictures I know that that's a lot but they are family pictures, work pictures, and school pictures. They usually restore pretty fast but lastly they won't restore at all. I don't know what to do. I just want my pictures back plus I want this to stop. My friends want me to send it to apple but I don't know what they will do and if ill ever get my pictures back. Somebody please help me fix this thanks.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

This post has already been answered. Why are you plugging your own site with an answer that has already been given? Not to mention that the information you are handing out is incorrect. There is no bug, there is no patch, and no one needs to delete any email addresses. You can share the same Apple ID in
Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID: here
But for all other Apple services like:
FaceTime, iMessage, iCloud, etc, one of you should use a different Apple ID. -
Why is that when I am composing a new message do I end up with multiple versions of my message I am composing up in my Google Trash mailbox? How can I stop this from happening?
It was very hard to see what the box says because the message displays for less than one second. However, I was able to record it with my iphone and pause it until I got a shot of the message. The box says the following:
"Do you want the application “java” to accept incoming network connections?
Clicking deny may limit the application’s behavior. This setting can be changed in the Firewall pane of Security preferences."
I did make some changes. I will see if it works.

I have an iphone 4 that keeps deleting my notes. How can I stop this from happening? I've had my phone over 2 years and only in the past 2 months has it started deleting notes. Now they are all deleted, but thankfully still in my email, but only on a computer.
I guess he/she open Notes in Gmail settings. This archives (one way sync) notes in gmail account under notes label that is invisible if you are using the standard gmail setup on your iPhone. You can see it on desktop browser, Safari or gmail app in iDevice. Am I wrong?

When I sync my iPad to download new pictures to my library, my existing library gets deleted. How can I stop this from happening?
The way I sync mine is to have an 'master' folder on my computer, and underneath it I have separate folders for the photos that I want to sync to the iPad - I then select the master folder in iTunes and the folders underneath it are synced to the iPad, each getting their own album.

Flip the Ring/Silent switch. Make sure Vibrate when silent is off in Settings>Sound.

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. This makes 1 look and act more like previous versions. Also go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod>Sync your device>Set up syncing>Sync device manually.
