HT201263 I am confused if my daughters i pod is blocked. Everything works except safari. I did block it when we thought we'd lost it but when we found everything seemed to work but can not go online
I need to know please when you request a block what it does to the i pod touch. We thought we'd lost it..., blocked it and then found it again. Most things appeared to work but cant seem to go online. I have done a full system restore on it and updated to ios6, but still no internet. Please help!!!!!
Restore to factory setting/new iPod if you have not done so already
Does the iPod connect to other networks?
Does the iPod see the network?
Do other devices connect to the network?
Try:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>GeneralReset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

I have an app called ipieta which was originally downloaded onto an ipod. I gave the ipod to someone else, but now that I've had the iphone I can not get the audio even though it is downloaded into itunes music like it said to do. It won't work. I've tried more than several times to get help but nothing helps. Do I need to deauthorize the ipod or perhaps erase all the downloaded ipieta stuff and start over?

I downloaded podcast from a polish radio site. They are fine and working on my macpro but when I try to copy them to my ipod I get a massage that " this podcast can not be played on this ipod" . what can I do?
Or because the episodes are video but are in a format which plays on iTunes but not on an iPod Touch. Only the originator of the podcast can do anything about that.

I'm using iphoto9.1.3 but now it doesn't seem to work, whenever I try to open it, it just shows loading, but never loads. Can anybody help me with this ?
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

When click the email icon on my iphone, it opens on one email only. I can not go to the next or previous email, a different email or anything. It only gives me the option to move that email! How can I stop this. Its been working perfectly well before!
Now as you may know there is some icons at the bottom of the mail app, at the top left conner you should have the inbox button and on the upper right conner you should have two arrows to shift between emails. If any of those options works try :
Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings
If that does not work try to re add the account
Last but not least, restore as new.

College student can not take online tests

My daughter can not take online tests on her ibook because the college she is attending uses a Windows only program called secure exam for online test taking. Is there some Mac based program out there that will allow her to take her tests online while allowing her teacher to grade her exams using his PC?

If you do decide to use VirtualPC for the Mac, may I recommend that you look into educational pricing?

3. Worst of all, to me, is that you cannot switch from a VirtualPC emulation window back to Macintosh mode and then back to VirtualPC; once you are inside VirtualPC, you are stuck there until you shut down the copy of Windows you are running.

Can not upgrade online
I keep on encoutering an error saying me that i can not upgrade online or change my services. it keeps me asking to call verizon to make changes.

I'm staying at my house in Peru, South America. From my PC laptop I can see my neighbor's wifi service network, but I also have my mini iPad and I can not figure out why I can't get any wifi connection from my area. Is there a setting I need to do?
Yes, I did try to go on my settings>wifi and was waiting for any wifi signals to pick up, but nothing shows up. But on my PC I get a whole list of networks to choose from. Regarding my neighbor, I already have her password that is why I was able to get it on my PC, the problem is that the mini Ipad is not picking any signal neither can it locate me when I go to maps.

I have the iphone 4 and PC with Windows Vista Basic. When I bought my iPhone syncs with iTunes on my computer, but now when I try to sync it tells me that Mobile Device Service was closed and I can not synchronize the phone. Try restarting Mobile Device Service and uninstall and reinstall Itunes but still giving me the same error.

My Ipod Shuffle requires Itunes 10 but with my Mac OS 10.4.11 I can not run itunes 10. Is there another way to load this ipod shuffle without updating to Snow Leapord?
Sorry Glen, but there is not. And you don't have to upgrade to 10.6 (Snow Leopard). You need at a minimum of 10.5.8 (Leopard).

Hi, Need help. I am trying to download the latest iTunes for Windows application but on running the program it says that it can not be completed as it can not find the folder location of the file "iTunes.msi" . Any clues would be appreciated
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
