HT201263 Last night the screens on my ipad and iphone both started toggling first to my screen saver then to the applie icon. And it will not stop and I cannot get in.

My iPad and iPhone screens suddenly began toggling back and forth between the Home screen and the apple icon. I can't even get into the system to reboot and iTunes won't recognize it. I've heard there is a Device Recovery Mode for over-coming this. But how do you do it?

Try a reset first. Hold down both the Sleep & Home buttons together until the Apple logo is displayed onscreen.

ALL purchases are permanently associated with whatever Apple ID was used to originally obtain them. Apps can not be updated without knowledge of that ID and, more importantly, its password. Apple IDs can not be merged and purchases can not be transferred from one ID to another.

I am assuming that you are using a Mac. Update for 17.0.1 have been pulled off the server for Mac(see this - https://blogs.adobe.com/adobeillustrator/2013/11/illustrator-cc-updates-now-available.html
Please uninstall AI CC 17.0.1 & re-install again. You will be back on to the 17.0.0 version. This is MAC only change.
Please let us know if you are facing this issue on Win.

Currently, we do not support export pdf to word service on iPad. You can convert or combine your photo image files in your iPad to a pdf. Export pdf to word should work on PC or MAC

HT201263 I have downloaded ipod software for recovery and still cannot get anything to happen

I have gotten my Ipod to go to the Itunes connect screen for recovery. However when I donwloaded the update it did not work. So my Ipod is still not being recognized by my computer.

If you cannot operate the device nor get it to connect to iTunes, make sure the cable is not the problem, try another cable.
If not, then try this:
1. Connect the device to iTunes
2. Hold both the power button and the home button down simultaneously
3. After 10 seconds, release the power button but leave the home button pressed
4. iTunes should then recognize that the device has entered DFU mode and ask to restore.

Make sure you have iTunes match turned on both devices and both devices are syncing with the same Apple id.
If that doesn't work sync your iPad with your computer manually, then do the same with your iPhone.

Probably not, since user-caused damage isn't covered by the warranty. But you can take the iPhone to an Apple Store and see if there's anything they can do for you. A phone company store will not service your iPhone at all, to the best of my knowledge.

There are a couple things you can try. The first thing I would recommend is resetting all settings by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. If that doesn't work, take a look at the article below for additional troubleshooting steps.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. If you want to get content from your iPad to you iMac, there are a few things to try.
First check to the iPad to see if it is syncing with iCloud. To do this, go to Calendar app and click the Calendars button in the upper left hand corner. Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

Sounds like a bogus pop up. In any case power down your Mac, your modem, your router. Then power back up in 1 minute sequence; modem, router, Mac.
