i backed up my iphone to itunes and tried restoring the info on to a new iphone and for some reason it used an old back up from last may. I know that the recent back up worked as I used it to set up another phone a week ago (a phone whihc also had problems and hence I needed to use that same back up again on my second new phone. Is there anyway I can get the most recent back up information back?
1. Create a backup of your iPad to iTunes on your computer or to iCloud
2. Transfer any and all photos & videos on your iPad to your computer.
3. Erase the iPad and restore the iPhone's iCloud backup to the device.
4. Transfer any and all photos & videos on your iPad to your computer.
5. Restore the iPad backup you reated in step #1 back to the iPad.

Try DFU mode:
Plug your device into your computer.
Turn off the device.
Hold the Power button for 3 seconds
Hold the Home button without releasing the Power button for 10 seconds
Release the Power Button but keep holding the Home button
Keep holding the Home button until you are alerted by iTunes saying that it has detected a device in Recovery Mode
NOTE: Make sure the device screen is blank and no logos are present -
SO I BACKED UP MY IPHONE ON ITUNES AND I NEED TO ERASE EVERYTHING AND RESTART IT TPO FACTORY DEFAULTS. IF I ERASE EVERYTHING ON MY PHONE THEN CLICK RESTORE BACKUP ON ITUNES WILL THAT WORK?

How can I back up ipad on icloud? I keep getting the message "There was a problem completing the back up. Please try again later." I have done so MANY times! I've followed the instructions ( I believe!) and the trouble shooting info does not resolve the problem. Can you please help?
I had this exact same problem because the router i had in my house was having interference issues and the speed was too slow to do it.
I would download a speedtest app on your iPad and see how fast your internet is. I think the app is called speedtest in fact. -

before i updated to ios6 i took off all my apps and put them into iTunes and then when i went to put them back in it says syncing like normal then when i look on my ipod it says " 'app name' failed to install" anyone know whats wrong?

Apps (like other synced media like music) are not included in the backup that iTunes makes. Thus, restoring from backup if the apps are not in the iTunes library there are no apps to restore to the iPod.
Redownload the apps into your iTunes library.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
And then restore from backup.
Make sure that in iTunes>Preferences>Devices the box that say "Prevent iPods..." is checked otherwise when you connect the iPod to the computer the previous backup (with your app data) might be overwritten. -

I updated itunes 11.1.5 and I accidently restored all my settings back to my old phone that was backed up onto my computer, I lost everything that was set up on my phone, contacts, pictures, videos, emails...etc.. how do I get my old setup back without doing a factory data reset?
Restore the device again using the most recent backup.
If there is no more recent backup and the pictures were not copied off the device prior to the original restore, they are gone. Same goes for videos taken with the device.
Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service, simply sync them back.
Any content acquired from iTunes should be on iTunes on the computer, simply sync it back. -
What do I do if I bought a song on itunes and now when I go to play it it won't play the whole song?
