If you are in a country where you can re-download music, and they are the same songs that are still listed in the store (e.g. they aren't different releases of them), and you are signed in with the same account that you bought them with, then they should show in the Purchased link for re-downloading
If they don't show then are they hidden : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919 ?
And you haven't changed country since buying them ?

Yes, it can be true. There is a limit to how far back some versions are available and Acrobat Standard versions especially so. Every once in a while I will say a version is not available and someone will pop up and say otherwise. I can only identify the resources where you can search to see if you can find it. You do have the ability to download most past purchases through the iTunes store. Below I have included two articles that will help you with this issue. Sounds like the battery is dead. Bu try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iPOd
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
If still problem your battery is very likely dead. An appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. -

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive & clear caches.)

Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel. -

You buy one and only one download.
It is your responsibility to move/copy/backup your music.
Certainly you did not update your ipod without making sure that you had transferred anything purchased on the ipod to your computer and included it in your regular backup copy of your computer. -
