HT201272 i downloaded an album but on several of the songs it goes silent halfway through the song

I recently downloaded an album from the itunes store. it shows on my computer that it is downloaded however, when i try to play it it starts and then goes silent. This is on several of the songs. How do I correct that?

Other people have been having similar problems with songs over the last few days, I assume that there has been a problem with Apple's servers.
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting those tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if the re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that album and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

  • HT201272 I downloaded some albums but the quality is poor and I would like to downloads them again-How do I do this?

Can someone tell me how I can re-download as initial download quality is poor...Thanks

With the site on display, click on the site identity button (for details on what that is see [https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Site+Identity+Button]) and then on More Information. This will open up the page info dialog.
First select the Permissions panel, make sure that "Load Images" is set to allow (selecting Use Default should also work)
Next select the Media panel, then click on the first item in the list. Use the down arrow key to scroll through the list. If any item has the option "Block images from (domain name)" selected, de-select the option.
This should hopefully resolve your issue, but also see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Images+or+animations+do+not+show
Some add-ons can also block images, for example if you have AdBlock Plus installed, make sure that you have not accidentally created a filter to block the images.

  • HT201272 I downloaded an album, but some of the songs are only half there. How do I fix this?

Today I bought an album on itunes. But when I listened to it a handful of the songs weren't all there. it would play to a certain point then skip to the next song.

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken tracks from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If you don't see them straight away it may help to close and restart iTunes.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

  • I just downloaded an album but one song won't play instead a message that "This computer is not authorized" to play the song. The prompt has a log in and when I log in it tells me the computer is already authorized. What gives?

I just downloaded an album but one song won't play instead a message that "This computer is not authorized" to play the song. The prompt has a log in and when I log in it tells me the computer is already authorized. What gives? Specifically the album is Flying Lotus - Until the Quiet Comes and the song is DMT Song (feat. Thundercat). I purchased the entire album and it even played fine the first listen through.

    Hi,
If you are in a country that permits redownloads, delete track and go to iTunes Store > purchased and redownload. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519

I'm being asked the answers to security questions when I try to download an album but I've never gave the info originally. How do I get past it ?

If you log into your account are you able to set them ? Go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side are you able to select the questions/answers ? If not then is there a reset link beneath the 2 questions ? (The reset link will only show if you have a rescue email address on your account.)
If not then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset.

    Hey Skip,
I would check your Purchased section in the iTunes Store to see if you can try to download it again:

  • TS1424 I have purchased and downloaded an album, but some of the songs did not download correctly as the songs are not complete.  How do I redownload them without purchasing the album again.

I have purchased and downloaded an album, but some of the songs did not download correctly as the songs are not complete.  How do I redownload them without purchasing the album again.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the track and try redownloading fresh copies.
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

I am sorry to hear. Yes it's very disappointing and the fact that you can't at least re-download your purchase makes it that much more irritating haha well thank you and good luck!

  • HT1399 I downloaded an album, but one song cuts off just a few bars in. How do I reload that album to capture the whole thing?

I downloaded an album, but one of the songs cuts off a few bars in. Do I need to reload that song/that album and how do I do that?  Also, how do I take songs out of my library and "park" them somewhere in case I want to put them back in?  Right now I'm just really sick of some songs.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

If just some of the tracks on the album are doing that, that suggests those tracks are damaged.
