Updating apps don't cost anything. If they have iOS devices, they're probably making in-app purchases. Many apps, particularly games, are free for the base game but charge for additional features such as levels, "coins" and other such add-ons. To prevent this from happening again, turn off "In App purchases" in the Restrictions settings on your device. You may also want to turn off the ability to install apps, to prevent purchases in case the child gets hold of your iTunes Store account information, and set the password to be required immediately. but I'd suggest just setting up the parental restrictions on the iOS devices and in iTunes on your computer, if applicable, so they just can't buy anything on their own.

on the bottom there is a link "account" click on that and in there you can see and change information about your account.

How do I delete credit card details from UK when I now live in Australia?

I recently purchased in ipad in UK and my son set it up unfortunately with different ID to my mac. I am trying to get it to sync with the mac with no luck. Also, it won't let me download any apps as have 15p left on my UK account and I can't change it unless I spend it but I don't have a UK credit card any more! Does anyone know how I can get rid of the UK details and change to Australian. I have tried to do it but no luck.

1) Buy something worth more than the remainder and charge the balance to a credit card. I recall somebody recommending this but another said it doesn't work. Go ahead and try it and if it works, great. If it doesn't, try #2.
2) Contact iTunes customer service and ask them to keep the balance.

To remove the card's details from your iTunes account, tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account - on your account's page there should be a payments link. Or you can do it via your computer's iTunes : go into the Store > View Account menu option and log into your account, and on your account's details click on the payment details link.

What happens when you try to buy something ? If you are trying to gift content then you will need to have a credit card on your account, your balance can't be used for gifting ; if you are trying to buy for yourself and you have a credit card on your account then its details need to be correct and complete - but your balance should be charged for the purchase.

Would anyone know how to delete credit card details from an Apple account?
Someone posted selecting 'none' in the payment section would work but i logged into my account online on a computer there aren't any options at all to do this.
I tried hitting edit but there isn't a delete button.
If anyone knows any help would be most appreciated!

How did you solve it? I just waited until my credit card expired and kept a gift card balance always running so that I did not have to give them my personal credit card info. They admitted to almost and/or being hacked so why not aloow PayPal or using a credit card without keeping its info?

How do I delete credit card information from my profile? When I simply delete it, the system forces something to be in those fields. When I type random info in, it forces accurate info. I DON'T want to store credit card info.

How do I delete credit card information for the app store?

Right, so here's what happened. Got into this game that I recently downloaded through the app store, came to a road block were I could either wait days to get the in-game money I needed needed to move on or pay $1.99 and get it over with. I had a gift card with $3 still on it and thought "why the **** not?" Problem now is that I can't update any of my apps without this notification coming up and saying that I need to update my card. I've tried going through my account settings on my phone but I don't get that "none" opinion that everyone is talking about. How can I delete that card from my account? Do I need to call someone or just use up that $1 I have on it?

I would try iTunes as well to see if you get the none option available there. I think what may be contributing to it is, even if the app is .99 cents with tax, that will put it over the 1 dollar left in your credit, there by needing a credit card to cover the tax.
