How to verify the primary email address for your Apple ID
When you first create an Apple ID (using your email address) a verification email will be sent to that address. If you sign in to your Apple ID from the link in that email, the email address will be verified as the primary email address for your Apple ID. You can also resend the email verification if the email address is not verified:
1. Sign in to My Apple ID to manage your account information.
2. Click Resend under Primary Email Address.
3. Verify your changes by following the link in the email you will receive from Apple and signing back in to your account.

    What model iPhone you have is completely irrelevant. How long it will take to download iTunes is dependent on the speed of your Internet connection.

    I can certainly understand that waiting for a refund can be very disappointing, especially if it takes more than the time expected. Normally, credit card refunds can take a few days and up to a billing cycle depending on your financial institution.
    Per the information you’ve provided in your profile (email address), I took some time to check the order. It seems as though what you saw was not an actual charge but an authorization. Essentially, authorizations can also take a few days to be posted on your account. With that said, I am hoping that during the next few days you’re able to make use of your funds.

    It's difficult offer further advice when all you say is "can't". If you provide full details as ot the problem, inlcuding any error messages you may be getting, someone may be able to offer additional suggestions.

    I pre ordered my iphone last monday 9/17 I still have yet to to be charged on my card or gotten a confirmation email yet? does this mean my pre order didn't go through? what  should i do ? someone help !!!!

    Hm, I got mine minutes after preordering.
    I'd definitely give a call to verizon about it. It may be that the order didn't fully go through. I wouldn't recommend ordering again though until you're absolutely sure about the first order being gone to avoid getting two phones on accident.

    I am sick and tired of Apple promising something and making it so hard to get. I mean I love apple and their things but really, I have been waiting anxiously for 5 hrs for the email to come in but I still have not gotten it. What's wrong, anyone have any idea? How much more will I have to wait.
    Apple was not prepared or are giving priority to paying customers whereas actually we require the priority because we payed for their latest harware and we don't get the same priority.

  • Still haven't received order confirmation email

    I ordered my iPhone at about 1 am last night. I can use the order confirmation # they gave me at checkout to check my status, but my checking account hasn't been charged yet, and I haven't received a confirmation email yet (it said I would within two hours due to traffic). When will I receive this email and if the order tracking page says expecte ship date: 10/28, does that mean I will get it on the 28th?

  • Apple and ATT Don't Care...3 days and still haven't gotten a person to help

    My original iphone since upgrading the firmware to 2.0 has sporatically but for many many hours at a time has stopped allowing incoming or outgoing calls. I have attempted to reach both ATT and Apple to get support. Here is cronology of my attemps to get help to fix my phone. I don't think apple or att care about their customers at this point. After being an att customer for 10 years i am now considering the new sprint service with the new samsung device since I can't get anyone to help me fix my iphone so i can actually make or receive a call.
    July 16th, 2008
    11:30pm called att support 888 327 2610 and chose the option for "not able to send or receive calls"
    spoke to an agent who said i would need to call back in when i got my bill.

    Tried to tell me to call apple support..but i asked if this was an att issue or apple he said it could be either..well i called att so why does att check it out before telling me to call apple

    Asked for corporate phone number to log a complaint....Said to look it up on-line...when my phone isn't working.
    Jason agreed to send the email for me to the corp complaints. I find it very odd that a phone company will not handle complaints via phone, but force you to send them in an email.
    11:50pm...transferred to att support...message experience unusually high call volumes due to networking issues. (what time of the day is good to call when you cant get thru even at midnight???)

    * unaware of problems ...just normal call volumes ...even though they had a message on phone line
    * we cannot do any trouble shooting here at att at all..you have to call apple
    * David did a warm transfer at 12:01
    Then however ..he said he would have to put me in the queue..as he was transferring me in..the vru said apple was closed and that i would need to call back during normal business hours!!!!
    12:07 am I asked for a manager and David said a manager would tell me the same thing..I said I would still like to speak to a manager. He put me on mute and came back saying a manager would not be available but he can put me thru to voice mail. I said that after being on the phone for over a half an hour..that i would wait until at&t decide to help me. i needed my phone tonight..not another day. He said ok..and put me on hold.

    He said that i would need to go to att for any troubleshooting on the phone...i said what about the network..had we ruled that out? after all u had a message on your vru indicating that you were having networking issues. I would think i deserve the courtesy of having someone rule that out before sending me to apple so i don't have to come back again if it does happen to be the network.
    He called as well and was told to call back during normal business hours
    12:30 am *earlier today...outage in this area
    creating a ticket and will call me back in 1/2 hour..

    6:30am ..no call from Jerry Henry on either phone number. My cell is again not able to send or receive calls.
    9:22am...called 800 331 0500 again..chose options for support...they said they were transferring me to apple support.
    *VRU..experience high call volumes and that they recommend calling back later....but I could hold and did...since it doesn't seem to matter what time of day I call..they are always experiencing high call volumes. .
    9:40 am ..hung up as couldn't hold any longer

    * Also asked for her managers name so i had an additional reference for follow-up. She put me on hold ot go ask her manager if she could give me her managers name. Shawna returned to indicate that her manager said she could not give her manager's name.
    * I then asked to speak to the manager directly...and she indicated it would be a long wait but that she would get a manager and would check back with me while I waited.
    12:18 pm ..put on hold while waiting for a manager
    12:25 pm ...still holding ..no one has checked back with me yet

    Based only on that, stop bugging Att. It's highly unlikely to be their issue.
    Phone was working fine. You didn't change the sim, your plan, or any Att-related apparatus.
    You update the phone's software. That's Apple's purview.
    You've had sporadic functionality with the network, and there aren't widespread posts about Att's network dropping away from many people, so that points to the fault being on your individual unit.
    You haven't mentioned if you've done a full software restore. If you haven't yet, you should try it. Then test it out before loading it back up with applications. Especially if you've jailbroken it.
    If you have jailbroken it, it's all too easy to imagine one of the wild applications isn't compatible with 2.0...
    If it works after the restore, re-install your apps one at a time, checking each time to see which one might be wrecking up your phone.

    I pre order a video game last month on the website and cancelled it online 7 days ago. Game was MLB 15: the show. I got an email saying the cancel was complete. It's been 7 days and the refund still hasn't shown up. How long does it usually take? Also what do I do if it hasn't shown up by that time?

    Securing a pre-order with us can sometimes be the best way to get your hands on something, especially if it’s a highly anticipated item. We certainly don’t want you to pay for an order you’ve cancelled though, so I’m glad you reached out to us with your concerns.
    When orders are first placed on BestBuy.com, a pending authorization should show up on your bankcard to make sure funds are available for the order until it is fulfilled. From there, the authorization should drop off and the collection charge should appear. After reviewing your recent pre-order using the email address attached to your forum profile though, I see you cancelled it yesterday prior to us fulfilling it. As a result, the pending authorization on that may still reflect on your recent billing statement should drop within 3 to 5 business days once your issuing bank realizes we’re not requesting a collection of those funds.
    If for some reason the hold doesn’t drop within the aforementioned time, I’d suggest reaching out to your bank for further assistance.

    I know, I'm too impatient. But it's been a long while and also, I have no way to contact Apple since I'm from Argentina. I've tried re submitting but obviously, it just says that the serial number of my iMac has already been used. I'll wait 72 hours before I do anything, but this is just frustrating. Is this normal?     Try taking your question to the new Mountain Lion forum. As teach5 notes, the experts are saying that it will take up to 72 hours to receive an email with your redemption code. Sorry if that's true but it's not like you won't get what was promised - just a bit later than those who purchaed it.
