i need help my facetime isnt working we bolth have wifi it just says ''facetime ended' or facetime failed help!!

On the 18th of April, I along with the rest of my family members all started having the "FaceTime connection issue" around the same time and day. It only seemed to effect our iPhones. As we could FT ipad to ipad or iPod to ipad and vice versa with no problem... Our phones where on the iOS 6.1.3...
I opened a support chat with an apple tech and they couldn't tell me why this happening. However, they told me that I would need to upgrade iOS.... I was really trying to hold off upgrading, but wanted the FaceTime feature to work. So, after trying everything possible to make FaceTime work without upgrading and having no success, I upgraded the device. I tried FaceTime and it works fine.... I think Apple was doing some kind of maintenance on the 17th, after that many people (globally) started having issues with FaceTime.... Go figure... "I think it was a Conspiracy, to force everyone to be on the new iOS" Anyway, Upgrade it, you will feel like you have a new device! I'm glad I did!

If it is brand new, bring it back to Apple before the warranty expires, if you are using iTunes on a Mac.
If the Apple Genius Bar is 10 hours drive away then I would suggest, when you want to sync, disconnect from Internet, stop your Antivirus and sync your Ipod.
Very advisable to disconnect from Internet when you stop any Antivirus program.

Unfortunately, FaceTime has been banned by the Middle Eastern governments so once you have purchased an iPhone from a Middle Eastern country such as the UAE without FaceTime on it, then you can never get FaceTime on that phone.
If you want FaceTime on your phone, you will have to buy a new phone from a country that allows FaceTime such as the US or the UK.

I have had a 3GS for 2+ years. After upgrading to IOS 4 (now 4.3.5) I began having problems. In the past week, my screen went to the itunes logo and USB cable twice -- unprovoked -- just found it sitting there like that! Ok so I happened to figure it out while on the phone to apple support. Even though the guy was very nice, I think I knew more than him! He was explaining very basic resolution principles I played about. I had the second option in displays resolution. All I did was unplug the HDMI cable, click on 'best for display' then plugged the HDMI in and my resolution on the normal monitor changed to the normal blue, then went black momentarily and then changed to a strange resolution but another window appeared that said SONY BRAVIA HDMI at the top! Hey presto! Don't know why it didn't do it yesterday - I probably left the HDMI cable in or something! Oh well. Problem solved!

MMS is a carrier issue... contact Verizon and ensure your account is provisioned correctly. I would think that someone would be intelligent enough to do that before buying a new device, but......
iMessage could be an activation issue or a network issue.
Have you tried Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings?
Does iMessage work consistently on Wi-Fi?

You would have to sign in with your account. Be aware that an iDevice or Mac or PC can only be associated with a particular iCloud/ iTunes in the Cloud account once every 90 days. So if you associate your iTunes in the cloud/Match account with her iPhone ,she will have to wait 90 days before going back to HER itunes in the cloud account.

-- You say it is running 8.1 now, but your profile says 6.1.3, plse update your profile.
-- Did you download in Mac iTunes? or directly in the iPhone?
if in Mac iTunes: check the following Finder location: Startupdisk->Homefolder (yourname)->Library->iTunes->iPadSoftwareUpdates : the downloaded file should be there and be complete the extension should be .ipsw, if it is not there or not complete you should download again.
if in the iPhone: notice that the install phase and verifying phase and restarting phase need (good) internet connection.

IMEI number is no use.
If you can't track it using find my phone.
Then report the lost to the local authority and your phone carrier.
change your passwords.
