You can't bypass it. You will have to provide the ID and password that were used to originally activate the device. If you purchased it from someone else, you will have to get this from them, or have them erase the device and remove it from their account as explained in the article you were reading. No one else can help you with this and there is no way around it.

You must put in the required information. If you do not have it, you must get it from the original owner of the phone. If you have forgotten your iCloud password, you can reset it at:

There is no such thing as an activation "bypass". Activation Lock is a security feature. It wouldn't be that secure is you could bypass it, wouldn't it?

Unfortunately, you cannot do very much with your phone unless you get assistance from the previous owner, they should either provide you with the password to unlock it or remove their account from the phone entirely remotely through iCloud.com > Find My Phone.

If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for a previous owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. You must contact the previous owner to get permission to use the device. If you cannot contact the previous owner return the device to where you bought it and get a refund. You will never be able to activate the device and no one can help you do it.

Yes the phone belongs to me. It was purchased from United Kingdom Vodafone to West Africa, i had to factory unlock to use any sim in it. so it belongs to me. I did the activation myself, now after updating my iphone to the latest update, it required a user id and password to activate the phone, but anytime i enter the details, it tells me the user Id is not correct but the password is correct..

Unfortunately, unless you know the Apple ID, there is absolutely nothing that can be done, you cannot use your mobile device. You may be able to find your Apple ID at Look up your old and forgotten Apple ID

Apple Warranty is determined by the device. If the iPhone is reported clean to Apple, ie nothing illegal, then the Warranty is still valid. That said, when an iPhone does not function correctly, the Warranty could be void due to liquid exposure, etc. Make Appointment and take iPhone to Apple Store for help.

The iPhone has Activation Lock and will require you to have the previous owner's Apple ID and password or you'll need to get the previous owner to remove the device from his/her iCloud account:

If you can't reach the previous owner or he/she is unwilling to cooperate, then the device is unusable by you. Return the iPhone for a refund if you can.

are you stupend or clown,because how and the word he is gonna find the first person when i am pretty sure he doesnt even keep in touch with the person who he purch in the first place...Nabeel that is a lot of suck and i know whats that i am stuck in the same situation to...and i celled apple sopurt and they asked for a lot information and when i sent to them they just said to me that they not able to help me with that...i have spake with to many people in apple and the funny part is that everone has diffrent answer..

I turn off find my iphone but icloud activation lock still on

i have set up my icloud on iphone 4s 16gb ios 7.0.6 and then i check to my icloud account my device is listed on find my iphone, then i turn off find my iphone in the iphone it asked for password and confirmed that find my iphone is off, i checked it again on my icloud account on the website my device not listed anymore, and then i checked through icloud.com/activation lock put my serial but it said find my iphone still on, then i tried again to turn on FMI confirmed is on then i checked again on my icloud account the device listed there, i turn off again the device dissapeared, check again the activation lock still on, i want to update to the latest ios this is really confusing, my wifi is greyed out cause of updating to ios 7.0.6 but another problem start with find my iphone, how can i solve this
