HT204406 Since updating to ios6 on my iPhone 4S iTunes Match has not worked. The app stays open for about five seconds before crashing. With ios5 it was great and worth paying for. Now it is utterly useless. Apple, please listen and fix this problem.
Ever since I updated to ios 6 on my iPhone 4S, iTunes Match has not worked.
I have been through the process of deleting my iTunes control files, and that worked temporarily, but now I cannot listen to music through the service.
It shows my artists and albums, then takes forever to access the songs (often more than 10 minutes - and yes, that's using WiFi), more often than not crashing before it gets to that point, then repeatedly crashing when I try to open the Music App, so I can't even access things I've downloaded.
Has anyone else found a solution?
Apple, please listen up - I am paying you for the iTunes Match service that is utterly useless. Fix it please.
After some troubleshooting, I decided to order a new battery. I replaced the battery and was then able to get it to restore, however--after I restore it and it comes time to restart the phone, it gets stuck and doesn't turn on.
Sorry, your repair ruined the iPhone.
She does not have apple care and even though she loved this device, she isn't going to buy another iPhone because of all the problems shes had with this one (it's just over a year old).
After you ruined the iPhone with DIY, Apple won't touch it anymore. You should have asked before all these had happened.
I'm an android user myself and I love rooting/flashing new ROMS, so if jailbreaking her phone or doing some kind of super-restore with 3rd party programs might help, I'm all for it-

iTunes Match is not working after the iOS 6 install. All music that was previously downloaded is gone. When the "Music App" is opened, I see a picture of a cloud, and a progress bar that goes nowhere. Then it goes away. No playlists are present. It shows artists, and albums, but all songs are empty. Nothing plays.
Is there a fix for this, or are the Apple Servers simply totally overwhelmed, and this is a matter of being annoyed and patient until it finally connects.

Some further peculiar things I noticed:
Directly after updating to iOS 6 I had to switch on iTunes Match again (iPhone settings). Then I realized that my music was gone (as described above).
Under settings -> usage one could see that the memory space was still occupied by the huge music library (i.e. there where only 9 of 64 GB free). This changed after several hours. Now there are only 9 GB used, the rest is free. So the library is really gone.
Since then my iPhone continuously downloads some unknown data from the internet (even if all apps are closed and I deselect the use of mobile networks at the several menus in the settings). All apps are closed. The iPhone gets hot and downloads something. It downloaded nearly 400 MB in the last 48 hours via mobile networks. (I got a flatrate, so I don't really care about the data.)
Does anyone know what this means? Thanks for any help! -

iTunes match is not working on my iPhone 4S; it works awesome across all of my Macs and other iOS devices (iPad 2, iPod Touch 4g x 2, and my wife's iPhone 4). Any suggestions? Thanks!
It is not possible to "toggle back and forth" at will. If you associate a device with an Apple ID and you have iTunes Match enabled you must wait 90 days before you can associate it with another Apple ID. See this Apple KB article for more information: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627

No judgment here on the music you listen to, I have that song too in my library. If iTunes is telling you that the song is missing and you purchased it from the iTunes Store, then just delete it from your iTunes library and then download your song again. Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel. -
When trying to edit a text message on my iphone5 the edit bubble will pop up but it is non responsive for about thirty seconds before it will respond to the key functions. It just lags behind. Has anyone else had this problem and if so is there a fix?
I rarely record automation, and when I do I never do a second pass (usually hand draw automation in) but I have had problems with Logic 7 no longer playing back automation. I've been told its fixed in Logic 8, but in the mean time here is a work around.
Select the region where the automation is (if there is no region, create one using the pencil tool and expand it to cover all automation) and go OPTIONS menu -> TRACK AUTOMATION -> "Move current track data to region data." Now everything should play back as expected. If you want to edit the data, simply select "move current region data to track data" and edit away.
For some reason, Logic 7 will sometimes stop reading track automation data, but I have yet to have it stop reading region automation. This is a bug, and according to other users, has been fixed in Logic 8. Hope this helps until we eventually upgrade -

I haven't gotten a new sim card because the problem has been presenting itself in various cards not only mine. So far, all I've done is reset my network settings.
Last night, I turned off the 3G tab and it had all the signal bars. Today, I did the network reset and it's working apparently. But like I said before, previously the bars just disappear and the iphone only has the 3G activated. -

Very strange. Two items to try:
a. Enable iCloud Status and iCloud Download fields in Song view, sort on status and look for any 'waiting' or 'error';
b. If (a) looks good, establish a new user account, create an empty library and enable iTunes Match, confirm that this provides access to all Songs and is working well.
These are seeking to ensure both no bad Songs or local Library corruption - both are relatively quick. -

Since updating to ios6 I can't view any music on my iPhone. Previously i had all music library matched and could view everything on my phone as could my husband on his iPhone. My husbands still able to view music since upgrading to io6 but I can't. I have an iPhone 4 and he has an iPhone 4S. It originally showed the artists and showed songs but there were no album names or track names and the length of each song was 0:00. Now there is nothing at all showing and no playlists. All my music and playlists are on iTunes. Please help!

I had the same problem. Could not connect my iPad (3/new) to the personal hotspot from my iphone4. Bothe are running ios6.
I don't know if this will permanently fix your problem but it seemed to work for me.
First, restart both (iPhone and iPad).
Then, on the iPad go to settings - general - Siri, and turn Siri off.
Now turn on hotspot on your phone and connect your iPad.
Hopefully this helped.
Apple support team, apart from maps, there are several bugs in ios6. I regret updating my devices To ios6. Please fix.
