HT2204 I have a different email address and itunes will not allow me to use my new ID! I cant download anything!
Why is itunes not allowing me to use my new email address? Itunes wont authorize to me to dowload anything - I haven't accessed Itunes for over a year during that time my computer crashed, I had to change email addresses and things got lost...like passwords and so forth and so on...I recieved two emails to [email protected] from itunes saying all was good and then all wasn't good. Please, can you help me!
I suggest you go to Apple's ID site, log in and update everything. Then you will surely get a confirmation mail.
Once all is done, you will most probably be able to log in to the iTunes store again.

Apple ID has my old email address. It will not allow me to change the address and will not accept my password or ID questions. I recently upgraded to OSX Yosemite 10.10.1. I also have an Apple ID that works with iTunes and would like to keep it as my primary.
To change the iCloud ID on your devices you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted (if using iOS 7), then sign back in with your current ID.
If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, you will have to temporarily recreate it in order to delete the existing account. To do this, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password. -
my childs ipod and my ipad have the same email address and itunes ID how do I stop both devices duplicating everything, change email address or set up new itunes account?

How do you delete songs from Itunes? I have many that show up as many as 7 times and itunes will not allow me to remove them.

I have lost lmy AOL toolbar and Firefox will not allow me to install it
I have lost my AOL toolbar and I can no longer cut and paste when I am in AOL through Firefox. This happened after I installed your newest upgrade to Firefox. Very weird. When I try to install the AOL Toolbar it says that Firefox will not let me install it because the AOL toolbar is corrupt. But I was able to install the AOL toolbar when I went through Internet Explorer. I like going in through Firefox but I may have to go in through Internet Explorer.

1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times. -

Forget the pad for a moment and just think about I tunes on your computer. Every now and then( 3 times over 6 years) when doing an I tunes upgrade, I tunes seems to lose track of some of my music files. They show up in the I tunes listing, but when you try to play, it cannot find the source. The cause is always that I have somehow moved some or all of the music to a library that is outside of the set of libraries I have dragged into I tunes.
On your computer, search for one of the songs. All the missing ones are probably together, and when you find one, you will find the rest. When you find it, note the directory and file path to where it lives, then add that path to your I tunes

Note, the original listing will still be in I tunes, so you will get double listings for theses songs, and no easy way to tell which is the valid ane and which is not, other than the ! Symbol when it cannot find the file. I know of no good way to get rid of the duplicate listing except manually going through and deleting them.
One you get them back into your I tunes library, they will sync and play fine.
Second side effect, if you are streaming to atv, and it comes accross one of those entries that leads nowhere, it simply stops streaming, and you have to restart the play.
