  • There are unauthorised emails being sent from my emails accounts. This started recently following my iOS update to 5.0.1. Is this an iCloud hacking issue?

There appears to be emails being sent out to random contacts from my shared address book with dubious content none of which were sent by me. I believe this was sent by unauthorised hacker from iCloud as the contacts are not even in my personal contact list, but came from my wife's contact list which have been shared via iCloud. Is there security breach issue with iCloud?

I have the same situation (there seems to be lots of emails sent through my Icloud account. I don't see those emails in my "sent" folder, but I can see plenty of email (Chinese spam emails) bounced back into my account stating that I have exceded the sending limits. I cannot send anything either from my account (of course, the sending limit is alwasy exceeded). I have also changed twice my password, but the issue remains.
    Any clues?
I am really surprised at this. I was from the begining with .Mac, and never had any issue during all these years. This is now with Icloud, which should be safer and better  :-(

  • Icloud hacked me and I can not access my mac, any solution?

My mac asks for password, hacked my icloud as i have not. Can be recovered?

I cloud is no password. It is the key created in the remote wipe, wich I did not.

  • ICloud hacked and account deleted

    Hi everyone,
So last night while I was out and my iPhone kept asking me to enter my iCloud password and I kept ignoring it because I was busy.
This morning I realised that my iPhone, iPad and MAC book were all asking me to enter my ID and password and then were telling me my password was incorrect.
I went online to the iFind thing and it told me that the birth date I was putting in did not match my iCloud ID.
I went to try and sign up for a new iCloud account with the ID that has been hacked and it told me the email IS available. Which would mean that my account has been deleted or someone has changed the primary email address?
Am I correct in thinking this? I am just worried about my credit card details, I can't remember if they were current but they had been stored on there from what I recall.
I was also sent an email last night twice to my primary email address telling me that there had been changes to my account it said:
The following changes to your Apple ID were made on DATE and TIME.
    Apple ID
    Email address(es)
Then it says if you need additional help go to this link. What I think is ridiculous is that I can't contact Apple on a Sunday and there is no link to anything saying "If you did not make these changes click here".
Also my other question is if I make a new iCloud ID and set all my devices up with it will I lose everything?
    Thanks,
    Melkeh.

Someone has hacked your Apple ID/iCloud account, and they are trying to prevent you from regaining access. You need to contact Apple immediately, according to the link randers4 gave you. If you delay, it's possible they could make it impossible for you to ever regain access to your Apple ID.
There are two problems with this. First, since your phone is running iOS 7 and has Find My iPhone turned on, you will not be able to reset your phone without knowing the Apple ID password. The hacker could remotely lock your phone, remotely erase it or even look up your physical location, and without that password, you cannot stop him. Further, if he manages to lock you out of your Apple ID permanently, you will also be locked out of your iPhone permanently. There will be no way to erase the phone and get it working again.
Second, all the purchases you have made using your Apple ID are tied to that Apple ID. If you lose access to that Apple ID, you lose all those purchases as well.
If the hacker manages to enable two-factor authentication on your Apple ID, that will effectively lock you out of your Apple ID permanently. Once enabled, Apple will not, and cannot, do anything to help you regain access. There is a three day "waiting period" for enabling two-factor authentication, giving you a short period of time in which to contact Apple and regain access to your Apple ID. You MUST act within that period of time. There is normally an e-mail sent when a request is made to enable two-factor authentication, but if the hacker has changed all the e-mail addresses on your Apple ID, you would no longer receive that e-mail.
In short - get on the phone to Apple, and do it fast before you lose your chance, and thus lose your Apple ID, your phone and all your purchased apps/music/movies/etc!

  • ICloud hacked

How to get new iCloud password?  Don't remember old and hacker made new one so I can't get in.

I have my Apple ID.  It's just the iCloud that he got into.
Are you using a different AppleID with iCloud than for other Apple services?
Your iCloud account is associated with an Apple ID, and to reset the iCloud password, you reset the Apple ID password at My Apple ID (https://iforgot.apple.com/), like for any other AppleID.
To reset the password, you need either a working recovery email or need to know the answers to your security questions.
    https://iforgot.apple.com/
If you don't have a recovery email or know the security questions, you need to give Apple Support a call - only they will be able to help you. See this webpage on how to contact Apple Support in your country: There are either telephone numbers given or an email form:
Apple ID: Contacting Apple for help with Apple ID account security
Explain, that you need help with an account security problem.
Since the AppleID of your iCloud account has been compromised, you need to contact the account security team anyway. If someone has been able to reset your password, he could be shopping now with your credit card.

  • IPad / Apple ID / iCloud hacked?

    Hey all,
A family member of me had following strange situation.
We used the iPad all evening long, but suddenly the iPad didn't accept the passcode anymore.
After several tries, blocking the iPad for 1, 15, 60 minutes... we did a full restore of the iPad via iTunes.
After rebooting, selecting the option to put the iCloud copy back, the login box came up to connect to the Apple ID.
The strange thing was that there was already an emaladdress filled in... an unknown emailaddress, not linked to the Apple ID and certainly not from the person of the account.
Now my question is, is it possible that the account has been hacked, giving someone access to iCloud.com and the Find My iPhone option? The only reason I can imagine for the iPad being blocked is that someone got access to Find My iPhone and reported the iPad as lost...
But how does the e-mail adress get into the iPad after selecting an iCloud copy?
    Thanks,
    Brgds,
    Frederick

It's called an "activation lock."  It's an anti-theft mechanism.  It makes the iPad/iPod/iPhone worthless to a thief.  Having said that, there are issues faced by legitimate owners.  In those instances, Apple will remove the lock if AND ONLY IF the owner provides a government photo ID and incontrovertible proof (i.e., proof that will hold up in court) that he/she is the owner.  This proof must be trackable back to the original owner.
If an Apple Store is convenient, make an appointment with the resident "Genius."  Otherwise, you must ship the device to Apple.  To make arrangements, call 800-275-2273 in the U.S.A. and I think Canada.

  • Icloud hack, I don't have the key to my mac remote wipe!

I can reconver the password of the remote wipe?
Someone hacked me and obviously i have not.
I'm from Chile, and here, I dont give me solution .

I'm not accusing you of stealing it, just explaining why you can't recover the password. If the password was emailed to your ID, the thief may well be able to recover it.

  • ICloud mail hacked into

Someone managed to hack into my mac account. They added their email address to the preference "Forward all emails to: ". They then spammed all my contacts from the fake email, before deleting all my contact info! Also, all the emails from that day have disappeared. They also got into my Facebook account! Has this happened to anyone else?

I too have been hacked! Two weeks ago.
It took me a week and over 1,000.00 for my tech support person to fix this issue.  I replied to an email that said one of my website addresses was going to expire.  When I replied to say "don't renew", I was hacked into my address book through my iCloud account, my address book was deleted, all my emails were redirected to a yahoo account that I don't have, lost a weeks worth of business emails! An email was sent out to my entire address book saying: Sad News...that I was in England, had been mugged, robbed, etc., and to send money to me. I was told by a friend of mine that if someone attempts to send money, via Western Union, the hackers will pospone the response for 3 hours, in which time one cannot then retrieve their funds, once they find out it's a scam.
When I contacted Apple, they were very nice, called me back, but I asked for coompensation for my large tech support invoice, they would not do anything for me! I have 8 apple devices, 4 of which were shut down due to the iCloud hack. All they could say is that I replied to the email so there was nothing they could do. I indicated that I reply to emails daily and that the Cloud is not secure enough! They had no answer for that, even though I insisted they look into it and let me know what they were going to do to secure it.  I also asked several times to follow the IP address on the date this happened (it would be an address that would stand out to them), I have re-emailed asking them to follow up again, but have had no response.  I fell this is a fraud issue, that the hackers should be followed and found and that Apple should be doing more to circumvent  this issue and also secure their Cloud...
I have yet to post this on facebook and write a letter to Apple, California. But I will.
    Caron

  • How can I delete all of my information from iCloud...permanently and forever...without deleteing anything from my iOS device?

After all of the buzz surrounding the iCloud hacking incident, I went to see if anything was on my iCloud account and found that, contrary to all of the settings I applied when iCloud was originally launched, it had somehow managed to get all of my contacts, my reminders and my calendar.  Since I do not trust any technology's security, I try to minimize my risk by minimizing where my information gets stored.  I was shocked to find that iCloud actually had my all of this informaiton even after I'd been very intentional to never allow anything to be sync'd to the cloud.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Create your own user account on your computer, open iTunes, log into your iTunes account on the iTunes Store then sync your iPhone.

  • Was I hacked via airdrop?

    HI All,
MY wife just received an AirDrop. It asked if she would like to accept a not from "it". She accepted and the not read "hi, name". (I said name for to conceal my wife's name but the note said her actual name, spelled the way that her iPhone is named) A minute later she received another airdrop from "it" with a meme of a crocodile that said "crocodiles can now fly or teleport". A minute later she got another airdrop from "it" that said "I can see all things, name".
an hour later she got a text from [email protected] It reads: (bankofamerica) your immediate attention is needed. Call: (908) 242-3058.
this is a scam, I found online several people have had it happen but no mention of any previous text or airdrops...
are these related? has anyone heard of this? Should we be concerned further? Is the phone hacked? Is the iCloud hacked?
Any answsers or suggestions would would be appreciated. Pleases feel free to ask additional questions in order to figure this out.
THanks in in advance for any help!

No, they are not related. Spam text messages are quite common.
She might want to change her Airdrop settings so that she only receives request from contacts. The reason the person sending here the file knew the actual spelling of the her name is that the name of her phone showed up on their phone in AirDrop.

  • My old iPhone was hacked into and they were able to retrieve all of my deleted message. How can I permanently delete the messages?

I had even restored my iPhone before this happened and the messages were still retrieved.

I think you have serious issues here. It's not your iPhone only that was hacked but your iCloud and Keychain too.
iCloud hack is where the danger comes from to you.
You need to fix your iCloud issues by changing the password. Delete your whole key chain and generate new passwords using Safari, they are hard to crack.
The weakest link in using key chain is the passcode on your device followed by the password to access key chain. These two basically give access to your data saved in the cloud.
I strongly suggest that you speak to Apple about this, they are helpful and they take security seriously.
