  • Is there a way to tell what is actually being passed to DB from PreparedSta

Is there a way to tell what is actually being passed to DB from PreparedStatement? What I mean by that is that I have a PreparedStatement that is a simple
    prepstmt = connection.prepareStatement("Insert into table (col1, col2, col3, .... colx) values (?,?,?....?)");
    (there are x ?s)
I precompile this, and later, when there is a connection I call set all the variables
    prepstmt.setInt(1, someint); prepstmt.setString(2, "\\'" + somestring + "\\'"); etc... prepstmt.executeUpdate();
I get back an exception thrown by Oracle complaining that one of my values is too large for the column (but doesn't say what column/value).
So I made a string that contains what ought to be the same query
    String debug = "Insert into table (col1, col2, col3, .... colx) values (someint,'somestring',etc....someotherint)"; System.out.println(debug);
I give the printed out line directly to Oracle through SQLScratchpad and it works just fine in there and I can confirm the row has been inserted. Nothing is too big.
Is there a way to look at what the PreparedStatement actually has as values in there? I found I could look at the original statement (the one with the ?s) if I expand the prepstmt object in the debugger's (Eclipse) view, but nothing to show me where the values were filled in.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hrm, I'm suspecting that perhaps it has to do something with setting CHAR fields. Some of the fields in this table are CHAR but I don't see a call in my PreparedStatement that can set a char, only a String, so that's what I've been using, but it may be that that's not the right thing to do. I'm running Java 1.5.10, and looking through the API there doesn't seem to be anything specifically for char.

my iphone was stolen, when i tracked my phone its already offline so without hesitation i deleted it. Is there any other way to track it using serial number? or make the phone good as a dead iphone?

Sorry, there is no way to track your phone. Call your carrier, & if they offer blacklisting, have them blacklist your phone.
Since you're running iOS 7.0. the phone is useless to anyone but you, as it cannot be re-activated without knowing your Apple ID/Password.

  • Before I buy Adobe software from a private party, is there a way I can verify the serial number is valid?

Before I buy Adobe software from a private party, is there a way I can verify the serial number is valid?

    No.
Other than contacting Adobe Customer Service.
Unfortunately, that's the risk you run with buying pre-owned software from 3rd party vendors. You have no idea if it's pirated.

  • Is there a way to tell what folders/images I placed in my trash today?   specifically by date of entry into trash?

I inadvertently deleted 6 folders from picasa which also deleted them from my Mac.  i have so many items in my trash that I do not know which they were....is there any way to track what items I placed in my trash only on today's date?  since I have no clue what they were specifically.

which also deleted them from my Mac.
By the way, the items are not deleted until you empty the trash - which you should do occasionally because they all take up room on your hard drive. I don't know of a way to do exactly what you want - you can try looking at your trash in column view and it will show you the last time you modified or opened a file - that might give you an idea.

  • Is there a way to find out my serial number in my itunes

My Nano was stolen (in addition to a number of other things) and am trying to find out if i can get the serial number through my Itunes since it is only able to sync with my Ipod?

I'm not sure whether iTunes can tell you the serial number or not, but what do you want to do with that info?
Unless you want to tell the police that Joe Somebody has your iPod, and that they can use the serial number to bust him, it won't really do you much good. The thief can use your iPod, download your tunes to their computer with third-party software, and even sync the iPod to their computer (although they will need your log-in name and password to sync your iTunes store purchases). Apple can't (or at least doesn't) track stolen iPods via serial number as far as I know.
Toe knee wrote:…since it is only able to sync with my Ipod?
If you get a different iPod, all of the content you synced to the stolen one can be synced to the new one, if that was your worry.

  • Is there any way to tell what songs on my iPod are NOT in my iTunes library?

There are some songs on my iPod that are not in my current iTunes library. I ran into a problem with album artwork and may need to do a full restore. If I do this, however, the songs that are not in my library will be lost. Is there any way, through iTunes, a third-party program, or directory digging to tell if a song is not in your iTunes library?

Select the iPod in iTunes then File > Transfer purchases.
If these are not iTunes purchases, simply restore them to iTunes from the backup of your HD.

  • Metadata update needed -- Is there a way to tell what change will be made?

    Hi all,
I have many thumbnails which show that metadata updates are pending.
Is there any way to find out what metadata will be updated when the commit is made (Keystroke splat-s on mac?)
    Thanks in advance,
    $$PhotoHobby

Any change- and it's not only development adjustments that might be shown in History- to the Metadata will be shown only in the Development module.

  • Is there any way to retrieve a lost serial number?

I had to do an erase and install on my entire operating system about a month back, and so I now need to re-install my Final Cut Pro (V 4.5).
The lame thing is, in the three years since I got it, I seem to have misplaced both pieces of paper (the CD sleeve and the Installation manual) which would have the serial number on it.
Is there anything that can be done, whether conferring with Apple, or some other step, to retrieve the serial number so that I can re-install from the CD that I have?
    G5   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

If you did an erase and install, the chance your old FCP ID file is still sitting on your disk waiting to be recovered is slim to none.
Call Apple and plead your case. Keep looking for the documentation! You do have the receipt for the purchase?
Still, don't be too surprised if they tell you, "Sure we'll send you one - right after you in $1299 for shipping and handling."
    Good Luck.

  • I lost my iphone the other day, and have tried find my iphone, but its offline. is there any way to put my specific serial number under a lost tag?

my iphone was lost on friday. Find iPhone on iclkoud says its offline. can i put my serial number of my iphone under a lost title or something so when someone tries to put a new plan on it or register it it will alert me??

If it is showing off line, either the battery is dead, the SIM has been removed or the iPhone has been restored. Report it to you carrier. Some offer blacklisting. You can also send a remote wipe to the phone via iCloud. There was also the option to send you an email if the phone is located when you were in Find My iPhone. Report it to law enforcement, change the passwords on all accounts that were on the device. Did you have a passcode on it?

  • I've got a file that is getting auto-created on my desktop, that is a .textClipping file with a very long series of numbers and letters as the filename (and of course, as the clipping as well).  Is there any way to tell what is creating this file?

As the title states, I've got a .textClipping file that keeps getting created on my desktop when I log in.  The file looks similar to: "6bc29bf81b634b3293da5e858930e06a88adf182.textClipping".  I'm trying to figure out what is creating this file.  Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

    Login items:
    SophosUIServer
textexpanderd (Text Expander 2.x - possibly the culprit?)
    TotalFinder
    Remote Wonder Driver
    Lockdown
    macfusionAgent
Most of these I've had installed for a year or more.  TotalFinder and Text Expander may be relatively new.

  • My ipod got stolen, is there a way to track it by serial number?

i just would really like a resourceful answer im sorry my family doesnt make enough for me to have a phone so this is the closest thing i've got to one so i'd really like to get it back

The only way to track it isif you turned on Settings>iCloud>Find My on the iPod, and then registered it in iCloud's Find My Phone.  You have to login to iCloud, click Find My Phone to track the iPod of it is turned on, attached to the Internet and has not been found and wiped clean.
There is no other way to find it.  Apple does not assist in finding lost or stolen property.
