my mac mini is not supporting any of converters

It changes something from one kind of thing to a different kind of thing.
Better question would be what kind of converter and what are you trying to convert?

My new Mac Mini running iLife 08 does not find any VST instruments and also does not show all the midi instruments. Does anyone know why this is?
    Thanks.

Is this a Intel Mac thing only, aka can G5/G4 Macs using GB08 use VSTs?
Ive got some great ones I'd love to use with GB. Seems kind of silly not to support VSTs, a standard for the music industry... ya know?

  • Mac mini does not show any external hard rives! How to fix?

    Hello,
My problem ist that my mac mini, i bougt in early 2010, does not show me any external harddrives. I had paragon instaled, after the trail version was untdatet my mac did not show any external hardrives.
Do you know how to hel ?
As i found out lately the harddrives i had plugt in to the mac are even not shown on other macs.

I don't know what you mean by "doing new concessions on DHCP"!!???  Have you tried using a static IP address to see if it works that way?  Have you restricted the range of DHCP addresses available at your router?  If you have maybe the other computers have used up the available range.  Suggest you try a static IP address first, then we'll take it from there.

  • Need help: Belkin Flip for Mac mini doesn't support the new Intel chip?!

    Hi folks,
I recently purchased a Mac mini Intel Core Duo and planned to use a Belkin KVM Flip switch for it and my Sony VAIO.
However, the current Belkin KVM Flip switch for the Mac Mini does NOT support the Intel Core Duo. Until Belkin comes up with a switch that does, I have to unplug and replug my monitor, keyboard and mouse into the appropriate computer to use either one. Obviously, that isn't very convenient. Has anyone else encountered this problem and come up with a better solution?
    Thanks.
Mac mini Intel Core Duo   Mac OS X (10.4)   KVM switch for a Sony VAIO

I think what you're saying is that I should just swap out the monitor cable from one computer to the other when I want to use that computer. Not elegant, as you say, but workable.
Given you want to use a Flip I gather you're wanting both of your computers permanently connected to your TV/display at the same time. To do that without a KVM you will need to, for instance, connect your Mac mini to the RGB input and then your Vaio to HDMI. So, to select which computer you want you actually want to view you use the display remote just like you would if you were swapping from your cable box to your DVD player. I would suggest you play around with whatever combination gives you the best quality for both computers as not all inputs to your TV have the same quality.
That takes care of video. Now, for USB, yes you will have to physically swap a cable although there are many ways you can do this which does in some way depend on how you place your computer and the peripherals you want connect to one or both computers. What you do is use a USB hub with everything connected (keyboard, mouse scanner etc) to it and which ever computer you want to use you connect it to the hub.
It's all about finding a solution that suits you the best.
PS As for the Flip, you might want to note that the Flip does NOT have digital DVI connectors. It has two analog VGA connectors which at high resolution does not perform at all well. I would suggest you ensure that the VGA performance to your 1080i TV is acceptable before buying this product.

  • Iphoto on my used mac mini will not open my photos from my new macbook air, it says to update software but there arent any available.. please help

iphoto on my used mac mini will not open my photos from my new macbook air,  it says something about updating the software, but i checked and there arent any updates available... please help

    Sorry for the second post..
I currently do not have an older version of iPhoto to test this on, but you might also try coping the Originals from the iPhoto Library of iPhoto 11.
    To do that;
    1. Right (control) click on the iPhoto Library in the Picture Folder on the MacBook Air
    2. Select Show Package Content.
    3. Click on the Originals Folder
    4. Navigate to the disired Event or photos and copy those images to your Flash or External Drive, then copy those to the older version of iPhoto.
Beware do not move, add or delete anything in the iPhoto Library, Apple has intensionally hidden it in later versions to prevent people from messing things up.

First open iTunes (version 11). Then connect the iPad. Now is it recognized?

  • My mac mini is not burning CD's.

My mac mini is not burning CD's. It can read CD's but writing CD's doesn't work, but burning DVD's works fine.
If I burn from iDVD it works fine but if I create a Burn Folder and drag Pictures from iPhoto to that folder it goes threw the process of burning but it spits out a Black CD. Any Ideas?
    Blue skies!

  • My mac mini 2007 will support 10.5

    HI ,
Please let me know whether my Mac Mini 2007 will support Mac OS X v10.5 ?
    Br
       sarath

Pre-August 28, 2009 Macs will support Mac OS X 10.5, but maybe not the version you are looking for. October 26, 2007 Apple released 10.5.  Any Macs released new after that date with a hardware refresh will either require 10.5.1, 10.5.4, or 10.5.6 retail up till December 15, 2008 (and may only be compatible with one of the three if released after one of those three), or the prebundled 10.5 installer disc that came with them to install 10.5.  A prebundled Mac Mini installer disc will typically tell you what system it came with.  If it doesn't match the age of your Mac Mini, you may need to call AppleCare to find the correct disc for a nominal charge.
You can't install 10.5 on top of 10.6.5.  You can though install it on an external hard drive connected to a Mini older than the installer disc that fits that 10.5's system requirements.
You can't install the 10.5 installer from another Mac Mini of a different age, or another Mac on the Mac Mini itself.

  • How do I combine my content from 3 external hd's and my 1 Mac Mini to my new Time Capsule (which is connected to my Mac Mini) and not have to use my external hd's again? My Mac Mini wont hold all the content on the external hd's.

My 3 external hd's are 500GB (total 1.5TB) and my Mac Mini is 500GB (Time Capsule is connected to this). I want to be able to have all the content from all these sources stored on my Time Capsule as if I only had 1 external drive. Is this possible? It is my understanding that when Time Machine backs up my Mac Mini I have to have my external drives connected since my Mac Mini does not have enough space on it to hold all the content on the exgternal hd's. I can only connect 1 external hard drive at a time and I want to get rid of them and consolidate.
And having to go back in time to search for files on 1 external hard drive and then back in time for the other external hard drive is not the most efficient thing to do. I would like it all in one place.
    Thank you for your help!!

    Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    ~/Library/Application Support/SyncServices
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Quit the application if it's running. Move the selected item to the Trash. Relaunch the application and test.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • My mac mini will not shutdown with either Mavericks or Yosemite (following a clean install)

First noted while running Mavericks, my Mac-Mini will not shutdown.  It just hangs on a black screen with the little icon.  I created a clean user account and the problem went away.  Rather than do a fresh install of Mavericks, I waited until Yosemite came out.  I reformatted the drive and did a fresh Yosemite install.  I then restored my apps and data only to find the problem is still present.  I've also tried stopping many of the applications I would normally expect might cause the problem with no luck.  And I tried the one Yosemite suggestion regarding deleting the Library/Caches folder content with no luck.
My naive question:  following the fresh install of Mavericks, should I have done a re-install of my (very many) applications instead of a restore from an image?
I've tried looking at the system logs after I've forced a shutdown with the power button but there's nothing I could find that shows any problems.
Any other suggestions of things to try would be appreciated.

    Hi,
    Thanks.
    It is running 10.5.8.
I am trying to boot up an external drive with 10.5.8 on it. It works on my Macbook Pro which is running 10.5.8, runs on my IMAC running SL. But doesnt work on the mac mini?
It had been running SL, however there are a number of programs I have like Windows Live Sync which are not yet compatable with SL so i downgraded to 10.5.6 which came with the Mac Mini then loaded all updates.
It seems to just go into an auto reboot as soon as i click on it.
i thought it might be the firmware? Is it possible to downgrade them and then re-install?
    I have reset the PRAM.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

  • ITunes on new Mac Mini does not show shared libraries on network or songs on NAS drive

iTunes on new Mac Mini does not show shared libraries on network or songs on NAS drive
The latest version of iTunes on a 3-month old Mac Mini (8 gig RAM, OS 10.10.2) does not see any of the shared iTunes libraries on a  MacBookPro (MBP) (OS 10.9.5) and a 14-month old Mac Mini (OS 10.9.5). And a network shared drive/media server does not appear as well. I have a Gigabite Ethernet G4 and on it, the MPB and the "old" mini I can see the various shared music libraries and NAS, but not on the new Mini.
The little house with a music note inside it that I see on the upper left corner of the iTunes 12.1 window on my MBP does not appear on iTunes 12.1 on the new Mac Mini. I have gone through all the iTunes preferences and can not find where I can turn on this feature. The new Mac Mini is on the local network and I can reach the internet successfully.
I have been using iTunes since its beginning (still have a PowerTower Pro with a working copy of SoundJam), so I am not a newbie, but this has me baffled.

May I add, that I gave full rights to the user at the Mac Mini to access and change data on the server drive for ITunes Media.

  • My mac mini will not shut down.  I need to manually shut it off with the power button.

My mac mini will not shut down or restart.  I need to manually shut it off with the power button.

If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes) in the search box. Note the timestamps of those log messages, which refer to the times when the system was booted. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the last boot time after  you had the problem. Select the messages logged before the boot, while the system was unresponsive or was failing to shut down. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V). Please include the BOOT_TIME message at the end of the log extract.
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
    Step 2
Still in Console, look under System Diagnostic Reports for crash or panic logs, and post the entire contents of the most recent one, if any. In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if present (it may not be.) Please don’t post any other kind of report — it will be very long and not helpful.

  • 2010 Mac mini Superdrive not burning DVD's

My mac mini is not burning DVD's right. I put in a 500GB harddrive a few months back and the SATA cables are attached correct. I can read DVD's but writing DVD's doesn't work. The process finishes but when after I eject the disc I can see that nothing is burning in the inner most part of the disc. When I put the disc back in the computer thinks the disc hasn't been burned and asks if it shuld be open in finder like a blank disc. I know a cd/dvd should burn from the center and spiral outward as it writes more data but it seems the disc is offset when it writes its first data, leaving the inner most part of the disc blank. Maybe I should reformat the OS and start from scratch to see if that helps. Any other ideas?

Strange these Memorex DVD's worked flawlessly a couple of times then I started getting these srange burns. I think I'm going to blitz this install I'm backing up with time machine now so I'll see what happens. Is there anyway to reapply an EFI update to make sure nothing is corrupt? I did notice what looked like brownish black burns on the logicboard when I opened it up to put the new harddrive in. They were on the long solder traces where they test the logic board by the the logic boards sata connections. I keep the system on 24/7 but don't really play any 3d or do anything that is too processor intense. Another thing is the superdriver seems to favor the left side when a DVD is initially inserted and ejected but moves to the conter when pressed all the way in I can't remember that being normal.
