I just bought an apple tv and was all excited about getting it paired up with my Iphone and Ipod
I brought up itunes on my toshiba satellite laptop running windows seven and I don't see any place to install the code that the remote app keeps telling me I have to install on my computer via itunes. can anyone help me get it up and running? maybe step by step since I probably am not very computer friendly. thanks everyone!

you have to plug your device into your computer. it will pop up on the left side (if running an older itunes), new itunes im not sure where it shows up. click on it, put in the code, unattach device, voila!

Try holding down the Shift key in Windows when opening iTunes. In the resulting dialogue you will get the option to create a new library or navigate to an existing one. The default location for your iTunes library is in C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\ (or C:\Username\Music\iTunes\ in Vista). Look in there and see if you have more than one library file (they have the extension .itl) If you have more than one try opening them in turn, you may find your original library is still intact: How to open an alternate iTunes Library file

If you bought it, it will stay in your Purchased folder in iTunes. If it's a song it won't play as a ringtone (they're different), although you can create a ringtone from it (Google "create ringtone in iTunes").

The startup disk may need repairing ...
Launch Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utilities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Click: Verify Disk (not Verify Disk Permissions)
If the disk needs repairing, restart your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys. From there you can access the built in utilities in OS X Recovery to repair the startup disk.

becsuse the douchebag at verizon I talked to at customer service (*611) before I left the airport In USA forgot to turn on the global option on, on his end even though he said he did before we hung up. What an aggravating experience.
And by the way I was right, I had to select gsm network after Verizon cleared my phone for international roaming and manually select the company Verizon has a roaming deal with "Claro" so I was in exactly the right area and you were completely wrong The reason it failed to register was because verizon didnt authorize international roaming. Too bad you didn't know that, that would have been helpful. you trying to give me advice is like a nascar fan telling a professional racecar driver that he's doing it wrong And that he should only do the things he suggested..

Sounds like you have display set to "Mirror"
Apple menu > System Preferences > Displays > Display tab > deselect mirror displays

If you downloaded it directly on your iPod then it should be in the Music app (or iPod app if it's an iPod on iOS 4 or below) - when there are audiobooks on the device you should get an Audiobooks option in the Music app. If you downloaded it on your computer then you will need to sync it to you iPod via the Books tab, in a similar way to how you use the Music tab to sync music (audiobooks are currently a one-time only download so you won't be able to re-download it on your iPod).

There is something wrong in your settings. As the settings for each email provider are different you need to check your email server's web site for instructions. Most now have specific instructions for the iPhone. Also see Apple's instructions: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1385

Welcome to the Apple Community.
If your receiver is connected to your TV by HDMI and has a spare HDMI input port, then yes plug the HDMI cable from the Apple TV into your receiver.
If that's not possible the HDMI lead from the Apple TV can go straight to the TV and you can connect the receiver to the Apple TV with an optical audio cable.
