I purchased a new computer and I need to get my music off of my iphone 4s to my iTunes on my desk top! HELP!!! Please

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchased content.

After a good experience with my iPhone 3 and buying an iPad, I decided to go 100% Apple and switch from PC to and iMac. I cannot move my music from my iPhone to my iMac. Is there a way to sync the phone to move the music to my new computer? I did not buy the music from iTunes, but loaded 200 CDs manually into my PC several years ago. I would hate to have to do that again.

You will need to copy your itunes library from your PC and put it on your Mac.

Even if the above were not true, the best you could hope for is to recover your iTunes purchases from your iPhone. You would do that by going to File > Devices > Transfer Purchases.
But in your case, nothing may be available to download from your iPhone.

Moving music from iphone to mac?

I have music on my iphone that isn't downloaded from itunes, and I want to get it back on to my computer. I had to replace my hard drive a few weeks ago, so all my music is on my phone but not my computer. A few albums are in the cloud, those aren't the problem. It's the 300 or so other songs that are from elsewhere that I can't get back. Do I have to just go redownload them all?

HT4527 Transferring music from laptop to desktop?

Hi! I am a masive music junkie and have over 2k songs on my laptop that I want to transfer to my desktop since the laptop is close to dying and I don't want to lose all that music never mind all the money I spent on that music. I don't have an external hardrive nor do I have an ipod (it died) I remember a few years ago when I transferred my music for another laptop all I had to do was go to some drop bar list to export the song it was time consuming since I had to do every song but I can't seem to find that opinion now. Any ideas would be great and no I don't have the money to buy an external hard drive since I just got the desk top, please I want to save my music before my laptop mother board dies taking everything with it - Thanks It isn't an apple computer it is Dell sorry.

Trouble moving music from my iTunes to my iPhone.

I downloaded the new iTunes software very recently, but now I seem to be having trouble moving music from my iTunes library onto my iPhone. If I click and drag the track to the iPhone icon, the icon is completely unresponsive. If I right-click the track and hit "Add to iPhone" nothing happens either. My iPhone is synced to my laptop and 'Trusts' it, so I don't understand why I'm not getting any response from my phone when I try to move music into it.
This is especially frustrating as when I tried to download the new software for my iPhone it suddenly and inexplicably went into recovery mode, and though I recovered the phone's data from backup all my music has been deleted from my phone and I can't get it back.
Am I doing something wrong that I'm unaware of, or is there a problem with the software? Any feedback would be hugely appreciated.

In my household, we have iTunes on three different computers. My mother downloaded music on my brother's computer, and it's on his library. We want to burn a cd with the purchased album, but his computer does not have a cd burner, but the other two do. Is there a way to move music from one computer to another, or possibly moving music from an iPod to a computer's library?

Plug in iphone and select whatever you like to sync from itunes to iphone.

Try this:
1. Open My Computer from the desktop or Start menu.
2. From the Tools menu, choose Folder Options.
3. Click the View tab.
4. In the "Advanced settings" pane under "Hidden files and folders," make sure that the "Show hidden files and folders" option is selected.

6. Navigate to the following location by either typing it into the address bar, copying and pasting it into the address bar, or clicking through the folder hierarchy listed:

7. Right-click the SC Info folder shown and on the shortcut menu, choose Delete.
8. Restart the computer.
9. Open iTunes.

Change how it syncs by enabling Manually manage music and videos, then you can drag and drop the music that you want on your iPhone. Revert it back to test to see if that resolves the issue.
