HT4557 Selecting a shared library starts connecting and gets to what looks to be 50% of the time circle and stops without connecting to the shared library..... Has anyone experience this before and knows how to overcome it?
I have an iphone 5 with the current operating system and an up to date itunes as of 01.04.13. The strange thing about this problem is that I have the "remote" app also installed and the Iphone can access the shared library and control what is played on itunes on the PC but not the other way around. What I want to do is play from my library through my Iphone but it is not connecting through the music application???

Although you say you have let the battery drain, was it for long enough? Since nothing else that you've tried so far has worked, I suggest that you leave the iPod unplugged for at least four days, preferably a week. That way, if something is stopping the iPod from turning the screen on, then whatever it is will drain the battrey. However, since the screen isn't on, that may take longer than if the screen was on.
Then, after that time, plug the iPod into a power source and leave it alone for at least thirty minutes. Only after thirty minutes will it show any signs of life, but you should leave it until it is fully charged before trying to use it.
If you get to this stage, the fact that the battery has drained will cause the iPod to reset when it springs back to life.

I imagine there is a problem with the headphone socket. Will i have to send my i-pod to apple to sort or will it almost be cheaper to just replace it?
I had a quick search for prices last night. As I recall the site that caught my eye was the e-bay store for this company but I was looking at their page for Nano & 5th gen. They're quoting £29.99 for the 6th gen. service, probably more because it is harder to get into. As I understand it you book the service, send it in via insured post, they fix and send it back. You can shop around, that looks like a reasonable deal.

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

Just last 2 days started getting an APS Daemon.exe-System Error saying my MSVCR80.dll file is missing when booting up my PC with Windows 7. I tried to reinstall itunes, but got another error message. Anyone having this problem or know how to fix it?

Under the iCloud portion of settings on my iPhone, I have always gotten the message "account not verified". The email matches and is in fact the same for my accounts on iCloud and iTunes. Has anyone had this problem, and how have they resolved it?

What was the full wording of the error message? Usually there is also a number or additional information.
Try placing the iPod in Recovery Mode and then restore

I have a number of hard drives that my Mac Book Pro no longer 'recognises' at least for very long. When I turn them on the deskstop icon shows up but then shortly afterwards I get a message saying that it has been unplugged incorrectly. I haven't unplugged it any of them. When I try to run very/repair disk before they disappear I get the error in the subject line above. Has anyone had this problem and if so how did you rectify it?

If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) When my car was in for its 6 month service in July/August I mentioned this problem to the dealer service dept (Northway Honda, Bundoora, Vic)
The person booking the car in told me an update to the software was needed and that they would do the update.
I don't know if it was free as there was no specific listing of a software update on the invoice - just a lot of item numbers.

When I try to download iPhone OS 5.1.0 on my PC I get this message "stopped (err = -3259)"and says it timed out at the server after the entire download. I have tried 3 times, it takes about 8 min. to download the 790.7 MB file. Has anyone had this problem and what is the fix?
