Reset iPad and continue with update.
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

i have a nano 4th generation 8gb i have tried resetting it, i get the apple logo come up but nothing else happens. It will work in my docking station but as soon as i take it out it will not respond. any ideas, do i need a new battery?
It definitely sounds like your Nano needs a new battery at this point. You can have Apple replace it for a flat fee, send it into a third party service center to be replaced for much less, or you can purchase a new battery online and swap it out yourself if you feel up to it.

ADE is trying to open but is saying loading library but nothing is happening.
I have downloaded hundreds of books onto my laptop Windows XP. Everything was fine but I started putting them into the library and now ADE is trying to open but is saying loading library but nothing is happening. How can I restore, delete or sort it out? Have I overloaded the Library?

The option to update without the computer (Over the air) was made available with iOS 5. If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.

oops, I tried to download the previous version and it won't let me, so I tried to reinstall 4, it downloads but nothing shows up to extract the file
I'm having the same issue. Lion is up to date with v10.7.2. Currently running iTunes 10.4. Tried installing the regular way...un-installing, re-installing...re-downloading from internet...dragging the install into iTunes icon on dock...I'm perplexed. Every time I plug in iPhone or iPad, it tells me there's an update available - when I click to update, it's the same thing - then the software update utility keeps stating that all software is up to date. Sigh...I feel as though I'm chasing my tail.

When I turned on my ipad the itunes logo is on it. I cant get to my home screen. I plugged it to my computer and went to the itunes and it states that the ipad is in recovery mode and that I have to do a restore. I have some important photos on it that I dont want to lose. Is there a way I can restore it without losing the photos. I tried the suggestions on this site but it dont work. My last resort is to restore it if I have to. Then you can select that backup to restore from if you want. If it is an old backup - then you will be restoring the iPad to the condition that it was on that date. You mentioned March 15 in your first post. If your only backup is from last year, then you will lose all of the photos that you have taken since then.

Dell Inspirion laptop with windows 7 on it, says on the Itunes site that Itunes is downloaded. Yet, there never was a pop up on the laptop saying or showing its downloading. Needing it to unlock a locked iPad thanks to my iTunes folder. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I am aware you can unlock the iPad by restoring a previous backup, but if this isn't the machine the device previously synced with you may have problems there. If there is any data that isn't stored elsewhere then it will be lost if you simply wipe the device.
