If you chose print, you can save as PDF. If you open the saved PDF in preview, you can save as JPEG, GIF, PNG. FYI you can crop in preview.
Another option is you could use command + shift + 4 to do a screen shot of a specific part of of the screen. -

Restart the printer and reboot the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -

I used to be able to print a mosaic CD cover from the print tab after purchasing music but after downloading the most recent (10.2.2) version I cannot. Though it seems to be showing the mosaic cover in the print set-up it prints a play list only. Can someone respond with help in fixing this? I've tried several times with different down-loaded music but no success.
The recent releases of iTunes have brought a bunch of bugs into the printing of CD covers.
Some people report that directing the iTunes print output to PDF, and then printing to paper from the PDF, solved their problem. Others have reported that it did not help. Worth a try. -

does it not show a printer when you use airprint? were you using airprint or a thirdparty app to print? Some basic steps would to be power cycle your iPad and iPhone and also the printer, and make sure they are all on the same wireless network if you are using air print.

I used to be able to print labels for burned CDs with the cover being the playlist name and the other side the song titles...now the titles print out compacted, overlapping each other and illegible. I thought it was the printer but it happened w/1 other printer as well, which I used before for this exact thing w/no problem.
Try cleaning the print head with rubbing alcohol wipe, then replace your print head. Keep pushing the Ok.

Today, I followed your other advice, and deleted the printer, deleted the /Library/Printer/hp folder, downloaded the entire set of driver, re-installed the printer twice, once with the driver, once with Bonjour.
The Bonjour Printer has the scan option active, but it is doesn't work (refer to above.), it is called M1217nfw
The Apple Driver Printer doesn't show the scan option at all, it is called M1217nf (as on the http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669#HP list.) This model number doesn't exist, as far as I can tell.
Still, everything works perfectly in Snow Leopard, for a MF printer that has been manufactured years after Snow Leopard was released.
Why going up in software version means going backwards in compatiblity for brand new product is really the question that puzzles me here. -

Why can't I zoom in on text with my track-pad like I can with other browsers? I have a MacBook Pro. I used to be able to pinch and expand pages but now I can't. I have bad eye-sight and really enjoy and NEED this feature to be able to read most sites.

Some gestures have been removed in Firefox 4 and later.
You can restore the zoom feature by changing the values of the related prefs on the about:config page.

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
Preferences that have been modified show as bold(user set).
Preferences can be reset to the default or changed via the right-click context menu. -
I upgraded from elements 10 to 13 today. When PSE 13 was installed, I uninstalled PSE 10. I also own Lightroom 4.4. However, I used to be able to switch from LR4, to PSE 10 now I cannot switch to PSE 13. (Photo>Edit In>Edit in Photoshop) is grey. Why?

What I have found is that when I upgraded from PSE12 to 13, my Lightroom 5.6 still selected PSE12 in the list of external editors. I had to use the preferences menu to select the right PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe in the Program Files/Adobe/Photoshop Elements 13 folder. I got a message stating that Photoshop Elements was already selected as external editor. In that message box, there is a button with the option to 'change anyway', which I did. Now LR correctly opens PSE13 when I choose Edit in Elements. -
You used to be able to shuffle a playlist and see the order in which the songs would sync into your iPod. I haven't been able to figure that out. Can anyone help me?
With your playlist in "List view", click on the header over the column of numbers all the way to the left. This will then reveal the true playback (and sync) order.
However, the sort order in iTunes may not agree with the sort order on your device, but that is a separate issue and seems to have too many variables to go into here. -
I have Mavericks on my iMac and the latest version of iPhoto 9.5.1 (902.17) but no book, card, calendar, album, slideshow, print and order prints options under Share, which still shows Set Desktop. Any ideas please?
