So far Apple has not upgraded the other Mac OS X versions to iCloud. She can manually enter information to be synced in the cloud but that is really tedious.

This doesn't matter.
1. Open http://supportprofile.apple.com, login with the Apple ID and unregister the device.
2. Open Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
3. When that finishes, turn off the device

IPad 2 - Need help with wifi set up. (I just took it out of the box)

I just got a new iPad 2, and cannot connect to my wifi. It keeps telling me "Unable to join the Network" I'm not sure what the problem is. I'm in initial set up of my iPad and can't do anything.

There is nothing that you can do if it will not connect to your network other than to use iTunes to activate the device or try another WiFi network where you can setup the iPad. There is no way to get into the settings to troubleshoot WiFi until the iPad is activated.
You can try resetting your router - unplug it from power for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in again. Restart the iPad as well. After you restart the iPad and reboot the router, the iPad might see the network.
Hold down on the power button until the red slider appears at the top of the screen and slide to shut down. Then hold the power button down until the Apple logo appears on the screen to start up again.

Be sure to turn off Find My iPad:
Settings > iCloud > Find My iPad
Wipe the device:
Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content & Settings
Remove from your profile here:

Sign in with your Apple ID & password
Select the iPad then Unregister
Your friend can then register it:
http://supportprofile.apple.com
Have him sign in with his Apple ID & password
Register & Add Products

Go to settings>messages>send and receive at>you can be reached by iMessages at> Uncheck your phone number and you can select your Apple ID emal address if you want to use that for messages.

If you click on the person's name, you go to the public profile they have posted. If there is an email address given you can email directly. If not, you cannot email the person directly.
You could post a reply to the persons reply on the communities to note their help.

It shouldn't expire - none of my cards have ever had an expiry date on them.
If the card doesn't have its value written on it then the only way to see its value is to redeem it onto an account.

This has been posted for almost 2 weeks and not one reply. Thanks a bunch! As a newbie to OOo and Mozilla, I am not impressed with responsiveness to support needs with either. So, the future of my new experiment with going non-Microsoft remains an open question.
Oddly enough, the problem mysteriously went away. I have followed the same routine and changed no settings. Suddenly all of the downloaded spreadsheets were no longer read-only. So I consider the matter resolved.

One of the problems that comes with these tricks for variable-rate acquisition is being able to match up sample data with the time that it was sampled.
If you weren't using either of E-series board's counters, there is a nifty solution to this! You'll be using 1 of the counters to generate the variable-rate sampling clock. You can then use the 2nd counter to perform a buffered period measurement on the output of the 1st counter. This gives you a hw-timed measurement of every sampling interval. You would need to keep track of a cumulative sum of these periods to generate a hw-accurate timestamp value for each sample.
Note: the very first buffered period measurement is the time from starting the 2nd counter until the first active edge from the 1st. For your app, you should ignore it.

Please note it did say at the store's discretion, but people have actually been able to return it to the on-line store. (I only saw a couple who tried.)
And given the outcry, I would think Apple might have other Apple stores join in. Just in case, though, if you can, you might bring it in today.
If it's an ARS, my guess is they can stick to their 14 day return. Apple cannot force them to do it. SO if it's not bought directly from Apple, and it's past the 14 day deal, I'd bring it in to the store today if you have one. When I gave people the cnet.com site, I gave it so people could read it and know only Apple had made the decision for Apple. And I suggested to some that an Apple reseller would probably stick with their own return policy.
Because Arnie had just bought his, he should be able to return it to Apple or an ARS because an ARS has to have some kind of full refund or at least return for credit within 7 or 14 days of purchase.
