It's talking about iTunes. The program that runs on your computer. Not iOS, the operating system on your phone.
On your computer, go to http://www.apple.com/itunes
Download and install version 10.7. It is required to sync with iOS 6.

Restart with the Mac OS X 10.6 DVD in the drive or with the Lion USB drive connected, hold down the Option key just after the restart, tab to the installation disk, and press Enter. If the computer has a firmware password set, it needs to be provided for this to work.

Im a portuguese DJ and i want to buy mp3 music from itunes to play at my shows. I bought a song to test the process and i already have the song in m4a and mp3, but i didnt receive the document to proof that the music is legal. What i need to do? I cant play the music if i dont have the document telling that i bought it.

As you know, Beatport caters to DJ users, and provides the documentation needed to prove ownership that may be required for public performance.
The iTunes Store does not serve the DJ market. In fact, the terms of the iTunes Store restrict the use of its songs to personal, non-commercial use. Here is the info from the Apple Legal statement:

I am trying to get the CLIPPINGS add on for firefox. but when I try and download it, it says it is not compatible with FirFox 8.0. also the latest version of firfox is 3.1 but my version is 8.0 Is that right?

I plug in my iPod to charge from my computer and it syncs with my iTunes, but I've been getting a message that a list of 13 of my apps cannot be loaded onto my iPod because it doesn't have the latest software to support them. I have done all the software updates for my iPod and iTunes says it is completed up-to-date. Do I need to delete the apps and redownload them or what?

When there is an update to a newer version of a browser like this update to Safari 5.1.4, is there an article that goes over the best way to update to a newer version of a browser that one knows of? Is it best to close all apps, install the update, turn the computer off, turn it on and hold down the shift key until the gear and progress bar are showing, when this is finished, do a restart of the computer. I hav always wondered the best way (if there is a best way) to update to a newer version of a browser so you avoid potential problems. Is there a Support Article that goes over installing and updating to a newer version of one's browser, in this case Safari?

Repairing permissions is important, and should always be carried out both before and after any software installation or update.
Go to Disk Utility (this is in your Utilities Folder in your Application folder) and click on the icon of your hard disk (not the one with all the numbers).
In First Aid, click on Repair Permissions.
This only takes a minute or two in Tiger, but much longer in Later versions of OS X.

If you were having any serious problems with your Mac you might as well complete the exercise by repairing your hard disk as well. You cannot do this from the same start-up disk. Reboot from your install disk (holding down the C key). Once it opens, select your language, and then go to Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Select your hard disk as before and click Repair.
Once that is complete reboot again from your usual start-up disk.

When I connect my iPhone to my computer, it says that I need the latest download for my iTunes to be able to sync. I already have the iOS7 and the 11.1.3 update. Whats the deal?

Hello, I have updated to the newest version of Pages and yet when I open a document to use it says, "You need a newer version of Pages to open this document." When I got to install it again it says I have already done that. Anybody have any tricks? Thanks!
You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5/5.01 can not open Pages 5.1 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.1 sometimes can not open its own files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has not only managed to confuse all its users, but also itself.

Actually, there seems to be a bit of a bug. Encountered this with a couple of files my wife made. The files were set to "open with" the new Keynote, but clicking the file brought up this error. Right-clicking and selecting "open with..." worked correctly. I can only assume the OS was attempting to open the file with Keynote '09 despite the file property setting.
Probably requires a Launch Services DB reset (although I haven't actually tried it on my wife's MBA yet...since she's still "working on stuff". So I can't confirm if it will solve the problem).
