What does the cloud symbol with arrow pointing down signify? After update to ios7 the majority of games and apps in App Store now have this symbol and upon clicking on a rotating circle appears for a minute ....then gone .... Then back to cloud symbol woth arrow down.... No change?

Thanks for the question. It may be best to restore from a back up from before the update. This will restore your applications, as well as the layout of your home screen (the placement of your icons). To do so, see the following (based on if your backup is with iTunes or iCloud):

Why do Apps that I downloaded to check but then deleted, still appear in App Store with a cloud and an arrow pointing down next to them?

I clicked on a few free game Apps to check them out. After deciding I did not want them, I deleted them from my iPad by leaving my finger on their icons until it started shaking. However, each time I click on the App Store icon, I see the same game Apps there as "purchased" Apps, with a cloud and an arrow pointing down from it, next to each App. How can I get rid of them once and for all?

You can't it's only a history. The apps are in the cloud and not taking up space on your iPad.

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

When I tap it my email goes "somewhere" out of my inbox. The email, which was moved from my inbox still apperars in "ALL Mail" mailbox.

That is the "Move" the email icon. Tap on that icon and you can move the email to any box or folder that is in black type on the left side of the window - under the Mailboxes heading. If the type is in grey on the left side - that box or folder is not an option that you can use.

You should always have a recent back up of your phone. If you have a copy of the app on your computer, you can always restore it to the device.

Getting increasingly frequent system shutdown with appearance of the apple splash screen for several minutes then back to logon in the middle of using a variety of APPs or just walking on Safari.

Using an IPAD 2 running 5.0.1 is frequently shutting down in the middle of a variety of Apps and showing the Apple splash screen for several minutes. This happens occasionally at inopportune times. Once the splash screen clears it goes back to the logon screen and the App that was open is closed. Has anyone else encountered this? Is there a resolution?

It appears as though your apps are crashing. Have you tried quitting apps and restarting? Reset the iPad?
Quit all apps and restart. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

After rebooting my ipod touch 5, all of my apps that i installed from the appstore disappeared, the memory from the apps is there, but i cant find the apps, in usage, folders, spotlight search, i tried everything and nothing worked, how can i fix this?

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

This is what I get when I click on Shopping in the left menu in Google: (function(){})(); The page appears for an instant, then I get the function message.

I search in Google for a term, then click on Shopping on the Google results page. For an instant, I see the results, then that page disappears and I get an empty page with (function(){})();

After installing updates my atv2 screen goes blank and led flashes rapidly

I just bought my atv2 and it told me to update, which I did, and then my screen went black and the led light started blinking rapidly. This is the second one in 2 days. I have tried disconnecting the hdmi, power, and holding down the arrow keys to reboot and still nothing.

HT201472 Stolen MacBook Pro. How to locate it if online for one minute then back offline?

My MacBook Pro was stolen so I went on to my Find My iPhone app and set it to lock once turned on. Yesterday, I received an email saying it was found but when I went to the app, the device was offline again and did not show a location. Is there a way I can turn the lock off and hope that it is opened again, or can I find the location that it was originally opened at?

Well, if you did then you may be able to track it, if you did not it's not possible.

How do I get my UDID number from my ipod if I can't plug it into itunes? Apple took it back because it was broken and gave me a new one but I have games and apps that can only be moved over with the UDID from the old pod.

How do you get the UDID number from your ipod if you don't have the ipod anymore. The apple store took it because it wasn't working so I can't plug it in to get the number. Some of my apps are associated wtih that number and I can't move them to my new Ipad without that number. Any ideas?

Hi KT. I restored my information back to November 10th and the one app that I need the info on is still empty like I just downloaded it. Do you have another suggestion? I was able to track down my serial number but can't get the UDID without plugging it in and I no longer have it. Suggestions?
