Why do Apps that I downloaded to check but then deleted, still appear in App Store with a cloud and an arrow pointing down next to them?

Greetings!
I clicked on a few free game Apps to check them out. After deciding I did not want them, I deleted them from my iPad by leaving my finger on their icons until it started shaking. However, each time I click on the App Store icon, I see the same game Apps there as "purchased" Apps, with a cloud and an arrow pointing down from it, next to each App. How can I get rid of them once and for all?

You can't it's only a history. The apps are in the cloud and not taking up space on your iPad.

Thanks for the question. It may be best to restore from a back up from before the update. This will restore your applications, as well as the layout of your home screen (the placement of your icons). To do so, see the following (based on if your backup is with iTunes or iCloud):

How do I use the App store with macbook pro and mac pro

I currently use the app store with the mac book, but want to buy (share?) apps and music with the mac pro.
I can't find anything that specifically outlines how this works.
I use SplashID with the macbook and an iPhone, and want to use it (and sync it) on the mac pro as well.
If you buy apps for a macbook, can you use them on a second machine, or do you need to buy it a second time?

Your license from the MAS allows you to download and install the apps on as many Macs as you own or have under your control (institutional or employer supplied Macs.) The Mac should to be running Mac OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard or Mac OS X 10.7.2 Lion. Open the MAS app on the Mac Pro and sign into your account to have access to download all of your previous purchases in the Purchased pane.
Simple apps can also be dragged & dropped over a network connection from the MacBook to the Mac Pro.

Try rebooting the iPad as well. You might be getting an inaccurate reading and rebooting might clear that up.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

I want to know why my App Store is not working, and how to fix it?

I have an Ipod Touch 4th generation.
Recently when i go to download an app it wont load and I will get a message saying that it can't conncet with the app store. I have tried turning my ipod on and off, and turning the wifi on and off but nothing is working. I don't know if it's just apple or if it is my ipod. Could someone please help because I really dont want to drive for an hour to get to an apple store.

Troubleshooting app store with apple ID and password

Hi there, I have an iphone 4, ipad and my son has an ipod touch. We have previously downloaded music, apps etc. but all of a sudden we can't access the itunes or app store. I have gone in and changed everything hoping this would fix the problem but it hasn't. I can log in to view all of my information, which tells me I have the password etc correct, but when I try to sign in for updates to my apps or to download music, a message comes up that says "cannot connect to itunes store' and that's all it gives me... (this is for all 3 devices so it is obviously connected to my ID and/or password)....
anyone else have this issue?? EXTREMELY frustrating...

Can you no longer sign out of the App Store with one ID and then sign in with another?

i can no longer sign out of an Apple ID on the App Store and then sign in with another. I did this in order to share games with my sons. Is this no longer possible? When I try it now I get a message saying he will have to wait 90 days before he can use his ID again.

The page that I linked to, associating a device and the 90 days, has been around for a few years (at least 3), but from what some people have posted on here the association doesn't always kick in.
Are the apps that you might want to sync in the computer's iTunes library that you sync his iPad to, or have you got copies of them somewhere so that you can add them to it and then sync them instead of redownloading ? If they were bought on a different computer, and are still on that computer, then you should be able to copy them over to his iPad's computer - by default an iTunes library is stored under :
Mac OS X: /Users/username/Music
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\
Windows Vista: \Users\username\Music\iTunes
Windows 7 and Windows 8: \Users\username\My Music\iTunes
There should be a 'Mobile Applications' or similarly named directory under it - copy the apps to a flash drive, if not already done so then authorise your account on his iTunes (Store > Authorise This Computer menu option) and then add them via File > Add To Library menu option

I have not upgrade to iOS7. I've deleted an email account (gmail incase it makes a difference). The problem is that the ADDRESS still sometimes used despit the deletion. Now, one of the reasons I deleted it was that this address would "override" the address I was trying to actually send from even if I manually selected the other address. If the old ID is yours, and if your current ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. When i am in certain apps, some with using internet and some not, shuts down and goes back to the main page. how do i fix this or what is the problem?

Try resetting your iPad. Press and hold sleep button until slider shows up on screen. Shut down then start it up again.

My guess is they changed that to Download for all the people who wanted to or needed to download it again. It's kind of a subset of Installed, now. I don't think it is a great solution, but that is what it is.
