HT4864 Missing emails with iCloud

I suspect iCloud is editing out my email.  Does iCloud have spam filters?  I got a internet fax service a short time ago and I found I get some email/faxes from the service but not others.  Emails are addressed from [email protected] and I have checked my computers junk box in mac's mail program. The Fax service told me their sending them but my server is filter them out as spam.  The say I need to get the email sender on a "white list".
Does any one know how to get in touch with the icloud server or whoever the emails go through?

I've seen some posts this morning indicating that there may be a problem with the iCloud mail server right now.   Try again later.

  • How do i use my .mac email with iCloud?

I had a .mac account with mobile me which i switched over to iCloud when prompted. I just receently bought a brand new iMac and want to use my .mac email in the apple Mail program but it's not working. I'm assuming the "type" of email is iCloud. Any suggestions on how to get it up and running?

Don't try to set it up in the Mail program. Go to System Preferences>iCloud and sign in with your @me.com email address. Check Mail in the checklist there, and any other data types you want to sync.  Mail will be set up automatically and both the @me.com and @mac.com versions of your address should work.

  • Like so many others I have not been able to access or send emails with iCloud now loosing business. Not good enough and lack of info from Apple is also not good enough!

Like so many others I have not been able to access or send emails on iCloud.  This is now loosing me business! Not Good enough Apple and your lack of information is poor customer service.

Unfortunately, Apple does not yet allow merging of Apple ID's. if you were once using [email protected] as your Apple ID then there is no way to link that ID with the new one to avoid losing the previous data under that old ID. You will have to either go back to using the old ID to save the old data or just keep both, which you arfe allowed to do.

  • After registering my email, with icloud itn is still not verified why ?

after registering my email, and itunes with icloud why is my phone still not verified?????

Typically after registering with apple, you will get an email asking you to confirm or verify your email address by clicking on a link. If you didn't get this, check your spam folder to see if the message is there. If that doesn't help you can try opening a ticket with apple.

  • Deleted emails with iCloud feature

I know there is a way to view/retrieve deleted emails from the iPhone via the searchlight/spotlight feature.  However, once iCloud is set up on the iPhone where can I view deleted emails as it appears that iCloud does not show up on the searchlight/spotlight feature.  Am I able to view/retrieve deleted emails once iCloud is set up?  Thanks!

I think I may have answered the question myself here ->

  • HT4864 I'm confused with the syncing of email with Icloud.  Do I need to use the new Icloud email account instead of my existing outlook accounts?

I set up Icloud and an icloud email account in outlook 2010.  The calendar dates transferred to my Iphone but nothing of the emails.  The only email that go to my iphone are those that go to the new Iphone email account in outlook.  Do I have to use the Icloud email account instead of my existing outlook accounts in order for my email to sync?  If not what can I do to get my outlook email to sync with my iphone? Thanks.

iCloud only "syncs" data in the iCloud account, not data in other external accounts such as Gmail, Yahoo, etc.  If your email, contacts and calendars are hosted by another external account, such as Gmail/Google, you may want to not sync this data using iCloud as you would have import it all to the iCloud account in order to do so.  Instead, add your external account to your iOS devices and in Settings>Mail,Conacts,Calendars>Add Account and turn on contacts and calendar syncing with your external account.

  • How to use my non-iCloud email with iCloud calendar events

Is there a way to use my regular email address (non iCloud) to receive iCloud invites?
My contacts don't know my iCloud account, they only know my regular email address so they will send messages, calendar invites, etc to my regular email which is not my iCloud account.
Although I can accept invites to any account, there isn't the same level of integration with iOS and OS X apps that you get when the invite is sent to an iCloud account. (i.e. they don't appear in Calendar, you have to accept them from an email and it sends you off to iCloud.com) or you have to download the .ics file to add it, etc.
Is there a way to link that regular email address to my iCloud account so that invites and messages to that email are treated as though they were sent to my regular iCloud account and I can accept, reject directly from the calendar applications on either my iOS or OS X device?
    Thanks!

You can sign in with your @me.com address in System Preferences>iCloud and check Mail in the checklist there - this will reactivate the address, though you will not be able to retrieve any data previously stored on MobileMe.

  • HT4864 Need help with iCloud set up on Mac Mail Client

hi thanks for you help.  I had a long day of issues with my icloud configuration on my Mac Mail. Suddenly (with no changes on my part) there were issues with emails going out. I followed the protocols below.  Is there an issue with my AUTHENTICATION choice? I tried external tps but that didn't work, but Apple Token is what is working). I have the box checked for keep sent emails. I can't figure this out and it's so frustrating. I have a new Air Laptop.
IMAP information for the incoming mail server
    Server name: imap.mail.me.com
    SSL Required: Yes
If you receive errors when using SSL, try using TLS instead.
    Port: 993
Username: The name part of your iCloud email address (for example, emilyparker, not ********)
    Password: Your iCloud password
SMTP information for the outgoing mail server
    Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
    SSL Required: Yes
If you receive errors when using SSL, try using TLS instead.
    Port: 587
    SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
Username: Your full iCloud email address (for example, emilyparker, not ********)
    Password: Your iCloud password
    <E-mail Edited by Host>

Those look like the correct settings.  You might want to post this over in the OS X Lion forum to see if they have any suggestions.

  • How can I sync my company email with iCloud?

I have my company email address synced with my iCal account but I want to sync with my iCloud account so it will be pushed to my iPad. How can I do this? Please and thank you!

Yes, I am try isn't. To figure how to sync mail as well,  just a pop account.  It appears it his cannot be done. The response you received to just setup email directly on the device does not answer the question.  Yes, that is easy to do, but does not sync with devices which is the objective.  Are there more features coming from cloud??

  • Updating email with iCloud problems

After switching to icloud, while icloud updates for my calendar and email they are not progressing. What's the problem?

POP depends on emails being downloaded to the accessing computer, usually deleting the messages from the server once downloaded, so that they are not visible to other devices.
You can usually set the mail clients not to delete the messages, or to delete them after a specified period, so that they can be downloaded by other devices. Of course if you answer a message on one device it won't show as answered on the others, so you have to keep mental track of which ones you've dealt with. Also sent messages won't be visible to other devices.
With IMAP the messages live on the server and are read from there by all the devices (like webmail) so that the whole process of multiple devices works much better (as you see it's not actually 'syncing' at all).

  • .mac email with iCloud

I have a .mac account that I did not renew and of course, cannot use as an active email account, but is still an active Apple ID that I use for iTunes. Is there anyway I can reactivate that email address to use in iCloud? I would be willing to pay to get that service reactivated.

Don't try to set it up in the Mail program. Go to System Preferences>iCloud and sign in with your @me.com email address. Check Mail in the checklist there, and any other data types you want to sync.  Mail will be set up automatically and both the @me.com and @mac.com versions of your address should work.
