Hello georgeandedie,
It will do your entire library, from there you can play music by albums or just by songs and can shuffle the songs as well.

  • HT4913 how to remove this ?  You can use iTunes Match on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. This computer can be used with a different Apple ID in 85 days.

hello i ad my girlfriend profile and her itune library on my macbook and now i have this warning in my l itunes library, how can i resolve the problem ?
You can use iTunes Match on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. This computer can be used with a different Apple ID in 85 days.

If a computer has been associated with a device (as well as iTunes Matct, it can become associated via automatic downloads or re-downloading past purchases) then you will either need to wait until the 90 days have completed : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627
Or you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they can remove the association : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

Unless you really only have one AppleID that you use with the iTunes Store there's really nothing you can do. In the case of having only one AppleID you should contact iTunes Store support, since that would be a server-side problem.

  • My playlists have not been trnasferred to my iphone while using iTunes Match

They have completely disappeared.  I had been using ITunes Match on my iPhone and it was working fine, but I noticed the new things I had bought or CDs I had ripped weren't showing.  So I turned match off and turned it back on and that's when I lost my playlists.  Where are they?  All the music is showing except the playlists.  How do I get them back???

Wicked annoying but I actually uninstalled iTunes on my Mac using an AppZapper. You can also get AppCleaner which is free. After I just went to apple.com/itunes and redownloaded iTunes. My music and playlists were still there, then I turned on iTunes Match and turned it on my iPhone once the upload finished. Try it!
NOTHING else worked! This was the only way I could jumpstart iTunes Match to actually give me my playlists. PLEASE backup your Library first. Nothing bad should happen, but don't take any chances. Good luck!

  • Why can't I delete music from my iphone under IOS6 while using iTunes Match?

It's easy enough to add music from the Cloud, but I have a HUGE music collection (all legally acquired, thanks) and I don't always want the same music taking up space on my iPhone. How do I get rid of a song/album/playlist, without turning off iTunes Match? Shouldn't this work like everything else -- I swipe right and press delete?

Not a bug, it's the way Apple has designed things. Read here:

  • No album Artwork using iTunes Match on iPad mini

iTunes Match is enabled on my iPad mini (iOS 6.0.1), but no album artwork appears. My album artwork is synced with iTunes Match and appears on my iPhone 4S (iOS 6.0.1), but does not appear in the music app on my iPad. I have tried turning iTunes Match on and off, and have downloaded various albums successfully to my iPad, yet the artwork never appears. Does anyone know a solution to this problem? Thanks!

Does this problem extend beyond Match users? I have been trying all kinds of ways to get our music onto my wife's Mini but the artwork just isn't coming across, for about 70% of the material in our iTunes library. We don't use Match.
I lost an immense amount of "Album Artwork" in the transition to iTunes 11, and had to reimport all that art one album at a time. I thought I had everything squared away after that, but when the music is copied to the Mini, artwork disappears again, and I can't find a way to "get album artwork" on the Mini itself.

  • Do I need to keep my Mac running while using iTunes match on iOS devices?

I'm considering subscribing to iTunes Match. Currently all my music is stored on a Macbook. Suppose I upload/match this music with iTunes Match. Can I then listen to the music on my iPhone/iPad even while the Macbook is off or do I need to keep the Macbook running (and connected to the Internet) while I'm listening to music?

Yes once the music is on a device (iPad, Iphone, iPod) you don't need to have your Mac running to listen to music.  This is true if you do Match or just sync with iTunes.  Once the music is on the IOS device or on the iCloud (so it can be downloaded) you do not have to keep your MAC up and connected to the Internet.

  • Why do i have duplicate songs in most of my albums? using iTunes match, use computer to charge phone, it must have synced now have double songs

I think when i was charging my iphone and syncing iphoto, itunes synced.  i never check the box that says "synce itunes when iphone connected' but this box somehow was checked. now i have double music, taking up a lot of space.  Having to manually remove all the duplicate songs.  this is the third time this has happened. I do not have the time to sit and manually do this.  Can anyone tell me why this is happening and is there an easier fix?  could turn off itunes match and turn it back on again, but then have to redownload my music individually, which is also time consuming.

I had the exact same issue!! Seriously p*ssed me off when I checked out my ITunes purchased items (via my computer) and noticed that most of the additional tracks listed on my IPhone playlist was listed there too. However, I never authorized any purchases!!  (I have actually written Apple Support asking for a full refund of all tracks listed on my purchased list)
Be careful when you swipe your finger to the left/right on those "additional" tracks on your IPhone playlist... I'm pretty sure that the cloud symbol is an option to download or automatically buy those tracks.
    Solution for the problem:
1 - go to your IPhone settings
    2 - choose "iTunes & App Store"
3 - go to "Show All" & "Music"
4 - turn off "Music" by moving the bar to the left (it should be a white color once you turn it off)
    Should solve your problem :~)

  • Why does my music keep getting deleted from my iphone while using itunes match?

Ever since i started itunes match, gradually my local music on my iphone has been removing itself to be replaced with the icloud symbol. All the music is still there but it's removed locally. Today all my music was suddenly removed requiring me to re-add all my music by clicking every icloud symbol individually and it is driving me absolutely mad! What am I doing wrong?!

Does the same thing happen if you use another set of headphones?
If it does, there might be something in the headphone jack like lint, dirt, or something else. You might be able to get it out by connecting the headphones 5-10x or spraying compressed air into the jack.
If it doesn't you might need to get those headphones replaced.

  • You can use iTunes Match on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. This computer can be used with a different Apple ID in 90 days.

We each have an iPhone and separate Apple ids.  When we bought our iMac we were advised to set up two user accounts to keep ids separate.  Now we can only have one id associated with the Mac in any 90 days.  What is the point of having separate accounts if we are not able to use them fully?
I find this very frustrating since my husband has recently downloaded his recent purchases, I now have to wait 90 days before I can access download any of my future purchases.  We paid a lot of money for the iMac and I feel very let down, conned even.  The reason we went for Apple was that we were assured that "it just worked", well not anymore!
Does anyone else feel this and what can we do about it?

  • Now that I have iTunes Match, I want to free up space on my Macbook Air - how do I do this without losing the songs in iTunes Match?

Can I just delete songs or do I need to save them on an external hard-drive?

    Hi,
Make and keep a backup of your iTunes library, and only stream from the cloud.

I purchase a new album on my phone but then cannot download it to my laptop -  I get the message:
"You can use iTunes Match on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. All I can think is that the problem stems from purchasing a mobileme family & some of the music being my daughters. (she is 9 & I need to be ble to listen to more than Katy Perry & Justin Bieber) Please help! :-(

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Youll get that message when you change the iTunes account you are logged into, you can't keep changing it.

  • HT204406 I am using iTunes Match and want to "uncheck" songs so that I can use my shuffle and not hear every song in my itunes.

Can I "uncheck" songs in my iTunes while using iTunes Match?  I want to use my shuffle and not hear every song in my itunes.  I use a MacBook Pro, iphone 4S and an ipad.

I know of no way to do this.

  • Restored iPhone, signed in with wrong apple ID & can't use iTunes Match for 33 days!!u

    Hi,
When I connected my iPhone 5 to itunes it said it couldn't read the device and I had to restore it.
After I did this I signed in with my primary Apple ID, that I use for iCloud,  Mail, iMessage, Photo Stream etc. However most of my purchases & iTunes Match have been made on another Apple ID (that I used before iCloud was introduced)
Now when I try and turn on iTunes match using this ID I get a message saying:
"This device is already associated with an Apple ID. You can use iTunes Match on this device with just one apple ID every 90 days.  This device can be used with another Apple ID in 33 days"
This is very very frustrating as I didn't realise what I had done when signing into the iPhone. I have sent a message to Apple to see if they can reset this before the 33 days so I can sign in with the correct ID for match.
Anyone else had a similiar problem? I hope that there will be away in future of merging ID's so that this problem doesn't happen - I'm sure it's very common!
    Thanks
    Steven

Yes, I did as you suggested and signed into the iTunes store with the Apple ID I use for purchases and iTunes Match.
When I attempt to turn on iTunes match I am given the following message:
"This device is already associated with an Apple ID. You can use iTunes Match on this device with just one apple ID every 90 days.  This device can be used with another Apple ID in 33 days"
I believe this happened after I restored my iPhone5(as requested by iTunes) and logged back into the device with the incorrect ID, which was then set up to use for iTunes & App Store Purchases.
When I then logged out of this ID and tried to use the correct ID, it was then that I received the message saying I cannot use it!
If you think there is something else I can do to resolve this then please let me know.
However, I have sent an email to Apple explaining what has happened.  If they have good procedures in place, they should be able to see my iTunes account(s) and the devices associated with it.  Remove the iPhone from the Apple ID that is is currently assocaited with and then I will be able to associate with the correct ID.
    It seems very straight forward!

  • Using iTunes match with two different ID's

I have 1 iMac and need to have two users establish their own iTunes match enviornment.  The iMac has 2 seperate G-raid external drives with each drive having an operating system with a different computer name.  When I use the computer, I boot from g-raid-1.  When my wife uses the computer, she uses g-raid-2.  I was able to setup itunes match on each drive using our sperate ID's.  my wifes config, worked for about an hour.  Mine works fine.  I'm suspecting a mac address capture is preventing what should be a perfectly legit and legal implimentation of apples products from working in a normal way.  It does not make sense to me that I have to go out a buy another iMac, just so that each iTunes match environment will have it's own mac address.  I know i can run a terminal command and change the mac address, or use one dirve via airport and the other via ethernet wire, but perhaps there's a basic issue at play here that has nothing to do with the seperate drive images and seperate user accounts.  any thoughts?  thanks

iTunes Match is associated with one, and only one, iTunes Store Apple ID and country-specific store. The service cannot be shared between Apple IDs.

If we sign up for iTunes with the one account with the majority of the songs, is Home Sharing no longer available to the other two accounts?
Of course it is. iTunes Match has no affect on Home Sharing.
    Indy Apple Guy wrote:
    A.  What happens to the songs on the other two libraries?  Can we never use them?
It is possible to consolidate the tracks from the other iTunes libraries into one and use that for iTunes Match. Make sure the one computer that hosts the library is authorized to play any protected content.
    Indy Apple Guy wrote:
    C.  If we purchase songs/albums while in iTunes Match, and then decide not to use Match in the future, do we lose all our music?
Of course not. Any purchases go to the purchase history for the Apple ID that bought them and as long as the tracks are downloaded and backedup you'll have them as long as you maintain them. Keep in mind that iTunes Match is a service; you don't do anything "in" iTunes Match. It simply "is" in the background.

    D.  If we associate our child's iTouch, will it still keep the parental controls in place so it won't play certain songs that are not appropriate f
Yes, parental controls should continue to work as they have. Although I do not use them, perhaps someone else with experience will weigh in.
