HT4972 How long does ipad 2 iOS 7 update take from iOS 4.3.5?! Help?
Hi, trying to download iOS 7 for an ipad 2 that has iOS 4.3.5. I've updated iTunes, downloaded ios7 to iTunes and am trying to update the ipad. I've manually backed up the ipad but when I click "update" it tries to back up the ipad still. Left it running for 2 hrs and nothing seems to be happening. It only has 12gig of data, is something else wrong?
Not much good at computer stuff, and getting frustrated. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks
If you are using iOS 4 (or earlier) there is no Software Update in Settings. That feature was first added in iOS 5.
To update you will have to connect your iPad to iTunes on a computer (preferably the one you sync with and backup to).

I went to Apple Chat and they lead me through a power down and start up with Recovery Disc Utility (Hold down Apple and R keys when powering up).
Then was instructed to run Disk Recovery and it showed HD was error free. Then a reboot started up fine to desktop and showed update to 10.9.2 had been installed. I am guessing the internet connection my have been interrupted during the install.

It's taking a long time to charge my ipad3. Why is that? The first time I charged it was pretty fast but the second time is taking a long time.
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. Welcome to the Apple Community.
Mine's usually about 5 minutes, but it wouldn't be more than 30-40, if it's any longer.......
You can't do much else besides pull the plug. If it causes further problems you should be able to restore as below:
Get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
1. Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
2. Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
3. Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
4. Open iTunes.
5. Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
On the other hand you may be able to simply start the update again. If however the update continues to fail, you should try the restore routine above. -

It should not be stuck at the language choice. Is there a "Next" button in the upper right corner? Or a blue arrow pointing to the right?

You can see what's backed up in Settings > iCloud > Storage and Backup > Manage Storage, and select the backup, so you will be able to choose what you want to back up. The device will back up automatically when it's connected to the power adapter -

It depends on how much you've got to migrate. Make sure that you run software update on the old machine before you start the migration. Failure to do this is one of the biggest causes of problems people have with this process. -

You are right there as a weard issue try with the battery comes out and then try to connect to the itunes should be working properly, if not fix the power on/off button because are escential to do it.

I decided to reformat my memory card on my nokia 2730 because it got a virus from a friend's computer...
then to make sure, i selected restore factory settings --> restore all and entered 12345 as the code since i have not changed my codes ever since i got the phone..
now the screen says restoring settings. please wait.
it has been around 30 minutes now and it still has this message on the screen.

How recently did you switch? If it's less than 60 days, then Verizon simply reinstates your previous account. The fact that you were on the EDGE plan and mailed the devices back, and they apparently are somewhere in the system, could cause complications, and it might just work out that you just go back on the same plan and they set you up with the same devices. I'm not sure how it will go - but since you are still being billed for the devices...

How long does iPad 2 last after it is lost?
I left my iPad on the bus today (It has not been a good day). First thing I did was ring up the bus company. I then jumped onto the iCloud.com and used "Find my iPhone". I eventually located it (at my university), we locked ot, sent a message and played a noise / tone thing.
I checked back on it a few hours later and it was no where to be found on iCloud, it was wifi only, but the whole uni is connected via wifi.
My questions is, how long does the iPad last with these features enabled. There were only like three or four apps open. Other than that, I think i am screwed.

hi,
i try to reset my e65 with *#7370# an d also *#7780# codes but it last too long. i haven't seen completion of the reset process yet. i waited about 6 hours but still not finished. Is there any problem with my e65.
i wondered how long does it take to completely reset your phones. And how your E65s reacted during the reset process. when i entered codes it asks for the lock code after i enter 12345 it closes and it opens nokia brand on the screen with a very low contrast then nokia brand disappers and starts to wait very low contrast position and i cant see any process any screen like formatting... ext. also when i push to power on button it never gives a reaction.I'm 100% certain the sim is not touched in a hard reset (done many over the years

You most likely have a 2G iPod touch which cannot go beyond iOS 4.2.1. If it is an 8gb or 16 gb iPod without a camera, it is a 2G iPod.
