I have just updated my new iPad to Iso 6, and when the iPad came back on, I cannot find the Utube icon?
Is it still on my iPad?
If so where will it be, or how can I get it back on?

Apple removed the YouTube connection. Google has an app you can use but it needs some work.

I had the same problem. After numerous attemps to Restore from Itunes, I decided to use the "Setup as New Ipad" option. It went through a few question on new setups. Afterwards all my apps, data, photo's were still intact. Which shows that the Restore from Itunes worked. There must be a small bug that prevents the Ipad to open after "Restore from Itunes" . Hope it will help you.

I updated my phone to the latest software and when I went to check if it had finished updating it asked me to connect to iTunes. I updated iTunes to the newest software too and then connected my phone. My phone stayed on the connect to iTunes screen and then it said I had to restore my iPhone because it was in recovery mode and I can't use my phone at all and I don't really want to restore my phone as I will lose everything as I haven't synced my iPhone for a while so I wont be able to get all data back.

i got corrupted file and it could not do update via iTunes for IOS 7.0.4. I did update directly from my iphone. It got through perfectly; however, ONLY apps that were on the first page could be seen. The rest of the apps was gone. Also, everything such as icon is magnified so big like 1/4 of the iphone 5s screen. omg a scary moment came !
I could not do anything even I tried to shut down by power button. so I had to hold the home button and power button toghether to force it shut down. It did shut down and restore to it normal condition as before. Good luck to all with new IOS 7.0.4 update.

I've just updated my IOS to 5.0.1 and when some of my contacts call me there name doesn't appear.

I have all contacts with the indicative, but if I remove the indicative the name appears but disappear in the message. I'm not the only person with this problem.

The device is in recovery mode. Connect it to iTunes and the computer and you need to restore it.

it sounds like you were using iCloud. Go under Settings > iCloud and make sure the switch for Notes is ON (green side showing). If it's already on, turn it off, wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on. Your notes should sync up.

I just updated to iOS 8 on my iPad 2 and due to a unforeseen error on iTunes I had to do factory reset. I was using my friend's iMac iTunes to download and update, instead of OTA. Now I'm unable to see my previously purchased apps (some even discontinued that I was hanging on to as they still kind of worked)... Even after I logged into App store on my iPad (tried restoring iCloud and iTunes but no luck, somehow there isn't any backup)! I checked my App Store updates/purchases and see nothing. A forum suggested I try buying it anyway and it will say I already have it and not double charge, but I don't want to take that chance as most of these apps are over $4. I have receipts for all my purchases. Please help!

When you do an update via a computer's iTunes the update process will backup the device (a backup doesn't contain the actual apps, just their content/settings), wipe the device, install the update, and then restore the backup - the restore would look to pick up your apps, music, films etc from the iTunes library.
You've tried logging out (tap on your id at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app) and back in and seeing if they then show in the Purchased tab, and you could also check to see if the apps are hidden from Purchased : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases.
If an app is no longer in the store then you won't be able to redownload it. You haven't got copies of your apps in your own computer's iTunes library and/or on your backup of your downloads/library ?

I used disk permission repair to try to resolve this as well as a 'soft' restart. Still have a grayed-out mute checkbox in the sound section of system preferences.

What is your current iPhoto version, Anthony? And your MacOS X version? And what was the iPhoto version you upgraded from?

You say, you downloaded everything - did you download the Library upgrader? And did you install and run it? Was there any error message?
If your iPhoto library has been upgraded ny the upgrader, you should be able to upgrade it to your current iPhoto version by double clicking it to launch iPhoto on it. Have you tried that? What happens when you try?
One problem to check for - iPhoto may be unable to open your iPhoto library, if it is not on a dsk formatted MacOS X Extended (Journaled). Check the formatting of the drive with your iPhoto library.

We had the same problem, but figure out the solution.
You MUST have at least 1 song added to your ITUNE! After you add a free song, then everything else should work as normal!

If you are using Address Book, open it, create a new Group, select all you contacts by click the top one while holding down the shift key and then select the last one. Drag the contacts to the group, then send an e-mail to the group.

I have just recently lost use of 2 USB ports and my isight camera. I have an isight G5 imac that has been working great. I have rebooted, reloaded my OS, and tried PRAM reset. I can use my keyboard, but not other peripherals. Any ideas on diagnostics?

Well, if you've tried different USB cords and devices and have reset your PRAM:

I'd say your USB ports are shot - since they are an integral part of the logic board, replacing it will most likely be expensive. I'd still go for a definitive diagnosis at the Genius Bar.

This is why it has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Certainly you did nhot restore your computer without making sure your backup copy was up to date.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.

Until your phone number is verified and activated you won't be able to select it in Caller ID. (You will probably notice that it says "waiting for activation'" under iMessage.) This has been widely discussed in this forum and there is no one solution that works for everyone. If you search the forum for "iMessage waiting for activation" you'll get a number of posts on this; you may find a solution that will work for you. Some of these include:
Go to Settings>General>Date & Time, make sure Set Automatically is set to On.
Be sure you are able to send and receive messages.
Call your carrier to see if they are blocking premium texts or third party texts.
Also make sure in Settings>General>Date & Time that Set Automatically is turned to ON. If not turn it on then go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
Change the DNS servers on their wireless router to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (these are Google's Public DNS servers)
