I have the original iPad and need to be lead through updating to iOS 5
Connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer via File > Transfer Purchases. You may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. You can then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'.
Then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button

When you have iOS 5+ installed you will get a Settings > General > Software Update option allowing you to do future updates directly on the iPad.

To change your iCloud ID or password you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with your other ID. One thing to be aware of is that capacitive stylii have a rather broad tip. This makes them feel more like writing with a marker than a pen. (though the width of the line is controlled by the software.)

Numbers does not have rotated text within cells. You can place a text box over the cell that has rotated text but you cannot rotate text within a cell.

Enhu, welcome to the forums. Listing minimum requirements is pretty standard for most distros nowadays, and this being Arch, we expect you to do a minimum of effort to find out something like that. The wiki link is pretty clear on the memory, and since Arch is i686, any i686 CPU will do - something a search would have told you as well. This has been covered ad nauseam already.
