Yes, this is one of the more annoying aspects of the 3G iPhone. I honestly don't understand why it keeps asking me each and every time if it's okay to use location services. If I turn it off then the answer should be NO every single time. If I need to use it then I'll turn it on. Just like turning off WiFi or 3G. WiFi has the option to "ask to join new network", and I keep it turned OFF so I don't get those annoying pop-ups. Wouldn't it make sense to do this for GPS as well?
GPS on my old Blackberry was great. It turned ON when I ran Google Maps, but automatically turned off once I shut down the program. Battery life was never compromised.

I have created a series of pdf schematics in a portfolio that revolves. For the field service techs I would like it to work on a smart phone or tablet. On the phones and tablet, they do not revolve. Any idea's? I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. It looks great and works as expected on my system, but the techs cannot scroll through the different prints.

I am unsure how it can be determined the payment mix up was the fault of CS, but regardless, the mix up was done. There can be any number of reasons why a payment could be missed without any fault on your part, however you are still the responsible party for the account and must live with the repercussions. -
Using Suri asking any localised question in the UK, it responds with 'cannot help' can only use US locations etc. and in US English. Have I missed something or set something up incorrectly? I also thought it would interface with your Facebook but it just comes back with a 'I can't help you with Facebook' message
Yeah, Siri - a headline feature on the iPhone 4s page - is beta at the mo.

Loading Textual Data from HttpService Would Not Show Up on TextArea

I have something fairly strange here that I have a little problem getting it to work. I am loading some data from XML and attempt to format it a little more on Actiosncript and print it out on the TextArea. For some reason, it would not show up, even though when I used Alert.show it does spit out the entire xml data set. Based on this, I know my data has been loaded correctly, but I am not sure why it is not showing up on my page.

When I click on the View button, it does give me the correct state, but I get a blank box of textArea with no data when I know there is output from Alert.show in the view(). What have I missed?
Thanks for your help.Thanks for the pointer. As a matter of fact, I found out that it is because of my xml nodes messing up, and that the text was displayed as white for someb reason. With a white background, of course I would not see a thing.

Just installed mountain Lion. Viewing a pdf sent to me using preview and some colors are appearing BLACK, however when I view the same PDF in Acrobat they are perfect and what they are suppose to be. WHY would PREVIEW showing a different color?
Here's what I've found on the issue:
Pantone color definitions have changed (coinciding with CS6) — they are now "Pantone+" (I think that's what they're called). The "+" apparently means they're now LAB colors. Lab colors are not properly displayed in Preview (or in Finder previews) — they display as black (as far as I can tell, in all circumstances). I'm sure it's a tad more complicated than that, but that's the gist.
Now the bad news — nobody seems to know anything about a fix or workaround (unless you convert your PDFs to process — this might be a fix for sending to clients). It causes issues for me in AI files — being able to view them in the finder (with previews) is a HUGE time saver for my workflow... when they're all black, not so much.
In my chat with a director of product dev at Adobe, they placed the responsibility to fix on Apple (assuming Apple wants to support Pantone color definitions in their OS). -
I have a website for my artwork. I had a PC and. Now an iMAC. I've used Dreamweaver to update the website. I used to go to Filezilla on the PC a upload the updated pages which would then show updated on the internet. What file like FileZilla should I use?

Click the Source Forge link - make sure you reject offers for any other software during the installation, Source Forge usually will ask you to install other stuff in addition to what you want (Filezilla).
It works well on Mac.

My location service on Google does not work. It will not bring up my location. Also nothing is getting saved in my history folder in my bookmark.
I have the same issue, I think. If I open Safari and search Walmart (google is my default search) it doesn't give me location results, and there is a little button at the top that says 'Use Precise Location.' If I tap that button nothing happens. Very frustrating. I've checked all my settings against my wife's iPhone, and my iPad, both of which work, and I can't find anything different.
