Create a play list that you wish to burn. Select playlist, the file from main menu which gives to an option to burn the playlist. A pop up box appears allowing you to select burn speed and disc format.

I cannot seem to transfer (burn) an iTunes playlist to a SD card. I eventually want my entire library on SD cards to free up space on my MacBook Pro and iPhone. My Jeep does not have a CD player. Just Bluetooth and SD card slot. So CD format is not an option.

You should be able to copy via drag and drop to the SD card - I don't have any SD cards to play with, but it works for me going to USB drives. I don't have any experience in this, but I'd expect problems with syncing your iPhone if you remove songs from your Library.
What you'll need to do is put iTunes into Song view and select the playlist you want. You'll need to copy the individual songs - Dragging the name of the playlist won't work.

I own an eMac. I really enjoy burning my iTunes playlists to a cd. But, now an error message pops up just after iTunes prepares the disc for burning.The message states this: The attempt to burn a disc failed. An unknown error occurred (-3). Any advice?

Try a reset or restart.
If the app is still missing, download again via iTunes or connect to the computer and sync it back from iTunes on the computer.
Frankly, in the time it took to sign up and post here the app could have already been re synced from iTunes on the computer.

No, the iPad cannot sync to anything else since its not really a computer. You need a computer to do that.
How old is your computer? Make and Model?
Its not so much the computer, but more so the Version of iTunes installed on it.

Transfering iTunes playlists from PCs to a MacBook

My wife and I just bought our first Mac. We intend to share it, so we have set up separate user names. Our question: Is it possible for each of us to transfer our iTunes playlists from our PCs to our new MacBook and continue to maintain and sync our playlists separately? If so, how do we do this?

Making iTunes playlists from Airport Extreme

I have my large CD collection burned to my 2TB hard drive attached to my Airport Extreme in WAV format. When I want to make an iTunes playlist how do I prevent having to copy the files to the Macbook? In Media player it went and got the song without copying it, is there some way to do this on my new computer?

iTunes > Preferences. Click Advanced. Click Change…. Navigate to drive connected to your AX. You may need to use the Finder’s Go > Connect to Server… command to mount the drive.
OR
Turn off *Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library* (also in the Advanced Preferences panel).

You may have transferred all your songs, but your iPad is seeing the library as a different entity.

You can call Apple Support and they will help you.
You can type "move itunes library from pc to mac" or similar into the google search bar.

Yes I copied the itunes folder. Before I copied it I opened up to see what was in it: album artwork, itunes, itunes media, previous itunes libraries, itunes library extras, itunes library genius, itunes library, itunes music library. After copying and pasting the itunes folder I checked my new laptop and the same files listed above copied over.
When I drill down the itunes folder to the music, it's on my new laptop. When I open itunes and click on playlists, I only have the music that I purchased from itunes. It does not include everything else I loaded into itunes and any other playlists I created.

Before you connect any device to a new library go to the Devices tab of the the preferences panel via Edit > Preferences (Windows) or iTunes > Preferences (Mac) and ensure the box next to Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically is ticked. You can now safely connect the device to your computer without the danger of media being automatically deleted or overwritten.
To get all your content off your connect your iPad to your new computer.
Then use a 3rd party piece of software to transfer your content
