Try a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears, ignore the red slider if that appears. See if that clears the glitch.

How do I get my photos off 1st generation itouch? I have macbook pro, ipad, iphone. Itouch syncs but does not have option to share in any capacity ie send via email, etc. Also, the computer from which photos were originally taken from has crashed.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
Did you fail to back up your pics?
The photo sync is one way - comptuer to ipod.
You can e-mail them to yourself (instructions in the manual), but they will not be of the original quality. -

I am having a lot of trouble downloading itunes.My latest error message is that MediaToolbox.dll is missing. I have been trying to fix this for three days now .And it all started with the last update .Can anyone help?
Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

I have an iPad 3 GB - do I need a special charger for this older model? The charger for a newer iPad seems to fit, but I do not get any kind of display that it is charging.

I have a new ipad. It is connected to wifi (virgin media) and shows 3 bars but server won't respond

Despite the three bars you may not really be connected to your WiFi network.
Your router may not have given your iPad a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPad (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc. -
Have purchased a IPad 3 64g cellular from EBay and cannot activate it . It keeps saying the activation server is unavailable . The Ipad itself appears to be brand new could it be security locked if possibly stolen . The seller has a 100 percent record of satisfied customers ?
Contact the seller and either get it working or demand a refund.
As an aside, I would NEVER buy computing hardware on eBay (or other sites like that).

Did you try a reset yet?
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that doesn't revive the iPad, you could try restoring the device next.

I typically don't like to recommend something like this, but I have read on these forums where some users state that smacking the iPad on the back can jog the screen into working again. The fall seems to have caused the problem and I imagine that the logic behind this suggestion is that if the impact caused the problem, another impact could help to fix it. I m just not a big believer in smacking expensive tech devices. -

I have bought a Griffin car charger for the Iphone4S it does not appear to charge in the car, charging at home no problem.

I wish to use Spread Sheets developed on my Imac (OSX 10.6.8 with Numbers 08) on my new Ipad Mini. Currently they will open but I cannot make entries.
Is there some software I need to download to my Ipad ?
If I update my Imac Numbers 08 will it still work with existing spread sheets ?
If I upgrade my OSX 10.6.8 will it impact my files originated under my old OSX and will all my programs work?

You need to copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.
The ipod is not a backup device. The sync is one way - computer to ipod. The exception is itunes purchases: File>Transfer Purchases

I updated my iPad 4 to the latest update...7.0.4...and now it says not charging when plugged in.
My iPad charger worked fine before I updated to the latest version. The only change was that I updated to 7.0.4. The reason I know this is because I had to plug it in to do the update. It will charge a little bit overnight but very slowly. 28% to 69%
