Go back to Boot Camp, delete the Windows partition (Boot Camp partition) and return the drive to as it was before you installed Windows. Then start again.

    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mavericks, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion at the Online Apple Store. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase a redemption code at the Online Apple Store: OS X Mountain Lion. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. Use the code to redeem a download of Mountain Lion from the App Store. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mountain Lion - System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 7,1 or later.
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) - Model
                 Identifier 5,1 or later.
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later.
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 2,1 or later.
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later.
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later.
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later.
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.

  • I am not able to mount any type of disk.

The issue started when I realised that my timemachine was no longer backing up. To start with it wasusing my NAS to store the backups, and after much playing around and reading of notes from otherpeople, I gave up. It was then that I also noticed that the day that timemachine stopped was also the
day that my MAC Mini performed a system update ( 01-01-2014 ).
I gave up on the NAS and tried a local USB drive. Disk Utilty could see the disk but could not mount it or format it. I tried many ways, including may formats from a Window$ 8 machine, which by the way was a fusion run VM on the very same MAC Mini??. Many nights later, I gave up, and forgot about TimeMachine for a while. Now, in March, I wanted to upgrade my version of Fusion. I downloaded the .dmg file from VMWare and that is when I got the error "no mountable file systems". Damm. I downloaded the file again. Same error. Strange. Then I tried mounting a .dmg that I had mounted before, same error.
    So, I tried the following.
    Disk Utility - same error
    command line - same error
    From Finder - same error
Started in Safe Mode and tried the same - same error.
I am all out of ideas. The only other thing that I can think of is to give up entirely, and re-format and
    start from scratch.
    Any help ??
    Cheers, Andrew.

Having a look through the log, the only errors where in the chrome helper sections. I have included the disk utility section, but I am guessing that that is really not much good.
    Cheers,  Andrew,

Apple's activation servers are probably very busy. You may want to wait for a little while before trying again.

Sounds like you may have a harddrive issue.  You are probably going to need to get that changed out and then install the OS X again to get it going.

    Hi
After upgrading to osx 10.9.3, my external hard drive was not able to mount, but it can be mounted without issue in osx 10.6, how do I solve it? it was formatted by disk utility.

    From the menu bar, select
 ▹ System Preferences ▹ Energy Saver ▹ Power Adapter
and uncheck the box labeled Put the hard disk(s) to sleep when possible, if it's checked.
If the drive has more than one interface (USB, FireWire, Thunderbolt, eSATA), try one of the other interfaces.
Check that the data cable is securely inserted at both ends.
    Try a different cable.
If you're connecting the drive through a hub, connect it directly to a built-in port on the Mac.
If you're connecting it directly, try a different port.
Disconnect all other devices on the bus, or as many as possible.
Test the drive with another Mac. Test another drive with this Mac.
If the drive is bus-powered, but has an AC adapter, connect the adapter.
Start up in Recovery mode and launch Disk Utility. Is the drive recognized?
Start up in Safe Mode and test.
    Reset the NVRAM.
    Reset the System Management Controller.
If the drive doesn't work under any of the above conditions, and if another drive does work with the same Mac, then the drive has failed. You may be able to salvage the mechanism by removing it from the enclosure and installing it in another one, or in a drive dock.

I am not able to download an ebook to my PC. I have windows 7 x64. I get a "Check Activation" error. The question is that I have 2 Adobe users. I have the ebooks associated to one of them but every time I download Adobe Digital Editions, independently from what user I download it, it always create the Adobe Digital Editions associated to the worng user. If I try to delete the Authoritation it says that it is nor posible and recommneds me to try later, but I never get it.

This is a user-to-user forum, and although Adobe staff make occasional appearances here, there is no guarantee that you will get any "officila" Adobe feedback.
If you have difficulties to install the online installer from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/, then download the offline installer http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe; save it to disk, then run it after closing all browser windows.

HELP!!!!!! I'm trying to download a few game/apps on my iPad and it's just saying waiting and not budging????? Anyone know what this might be? Please help me!!!

Although having it loading 5 at a time is not ideal, the iPad is more than capable of doing it, it merely pauses those after the first requested. It will install one at a time then go to the next, installing one at a time rather than trying to do a group like this shouldn't yield any great benefit.
Also don't forget that some apps are hundreds of MB in size so depending on your internet connection will just take a lot longer to download than those which are only 1 or 2 MB in size.
I only have a 0.8MB broadband connection when it's at it's fastest so am used to checking the sizes of apps before downloading, it's very frustrating when you forget and hit download only to spend the next 30 mins or so watching a blue progress bar creep across te 10 mm of icon space!!
@shannon207 Seeing as you are no longer posting I can only assume you have sorted the issue.
If you are still having issues please post again and we can try and help further.
