my wireless key board doesn't seem to communication with my computer even though bluetooth shows it is connected. I have changed the batteries on the keyboard and when turn on the key board the green lights comes on shortly and disappears. Can any one help?

I found a few articles that might help with the issue you're encountering. These first two are if the Bluetooth keyboard you're using is the one that came with your iMac. WHENEVER I TRIED TO CONNECT TO A SITE, A POP-UP MESSAGE APPEARED INDICATING: "UNABLE TO INITIALIZE THE APPLICATION'S SECURITY COMPONENT. THE MOST LIKELY CAUSE IS PROBLEMS WITH FILES IN YOUR APPLICATION'S PROFILE DIRECTORY. CHECK THAT THIS DIRECTORY HAS NO READ/WRITE RESTRICTIONS." I EVEN REMOVED FIREFOX FROM MY COMPUTER AND DOWNLOADED IT AGAIN, FIGURING THAT BY NOT MERELY USING AN UPGRADE, I WOULD BE INSTALLING A COMPLETELY FRESH DOWNLOAD. My ipod 4g has been working fine for the last 2 years until now, it wont charge or connect to itunes what so ever. it will connect to the dock and play music but just wont charge on any charger, computer,cord,anything. its making me so frustrated i think it has somthing to do with the battery but im not sure because it still turns on. Im for sure that its the ipod and not the cord or outlet and charger. somone please help!!!!!! I tried everything besides opening it up.

I am experiencing the same problem, not being able to access internet at the same time as streaming iTunes music through an Airport Express.
Our configuration consists ot; an iMac G5 and an AirPort Express connected to a cable modem.
This problem first occurred using iTunes 7.0, now updated to iTunes 7.0.1, along with OS X 10.4.8
I have followed the Apple troubleshooting guide - without success to this point. The internet can be accessed (although slower than usual). However when the AX is set, using the AirPort Admin Utility to provide an AX provided IP address to the computer, the internet disappears, but iTunes can play over the network via the AX station.
I am suspecting a damaged preference file, or something of that nature, but am not sure what file(s) to be searching for.
Any help here would be appreciated.

I created a book on iPhoto. I click on the buy button, and I get a message that says Connecting with a moving blue striped rectangle. I am connected to the internet and I have made books before without any problems. I have tried for the past two weeks at various times and I get this same message each time. Any ideas about what is going on?
First confirm that you can create a PDF file of your book as described in this Apple document: iPhoto '11: Preview a book, card, or calendar before you order or print it. Post back with the results.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Transferring photos from your computer has nothing to do with your iTunes account/Apple ID.
Photos can be transferred from a single computer only. When transferring photos from another, all photos on the iPad that were transferred from a different computer will be erased from the iPad first - even if the photos were transferred from the old or different computer to the new computer being used for syncing.
When transferring photos from your computer, what is named the iPod Photo Cache is created on your computer for the photos that are transferred and why you see new photos being transferres are optimized before the actual transfer process. The iPod Photo Cache for these photos on the computer the photos were transferred from is not available on your new computer.
Since all photos on your iPad that were transferred from the old or different computer should remain on that computer, transfer the photos from that computer to your new computer. These photos on your iPad will be erased with the first sync but will be re-transferred along with a new iPod Photo Cache for these photos being created on your new computer. -

In any case many states (like NY) just passed regulatory powers to the State Public Service Commission of which it may be called something different in your state. You could file a complaint with them. Or file a complaint with your state attorney generals office, they also take on wireless providers.
The problem here is the staff you speak to are poorly trained, in days gone by it took one call to them and they pulled up your account and see the error and had the authority to remove any errors. They did not remove legitimate account actions, but used their heads instead of putting a customer off or worse lying to the customer.
Its a shame you have to go through what you going through.

when I connect an external hard drive to macbook pro it is very slow to appear on the desktop and Finder window, sometimes 20 mins or more, even with auto backup switched off . any clues?
