I agree with all the advantages of HTML Video. How do you use html video on your iweb site?
I want my iWeb site video to be viewable on iPads.
I have learned the technique to use the HTML Snippet tool in iWeb to successfully post Flash video. I created all of my animations using Kenote's keyframe ability and have exported them to Quicktime and then have converted them into flash with Vertical Moon's Video to SWF. Then simply upload the SWF file to a folder on your idisk, then use the Flash Video insert HTML Snippet and insert the idisk url of the SWF file and you are done. What is the technique for HTML Video?
I have found some HTML video encoders, here are the links:

I have all of the i-Apps and Final Cut Express (2 revs out of date). Can I get the proper HTML video file from these programs, unless I am missing something I don't think so.

Your videos ARE viewable on a iPad. No need for explicit HTML video coding.
If you export your movies to iPhone that's all there is to do. You can do it in QT Pro/iMovie
And HTML Video is a HTML code, not the movie itself :

Why can I not embed html video into a Muse slideshow widget?

I have an existing slideshow widget in place and when I upload html video (click on image in slideshow, object, insert html) it puts the video in a seperate box un-linked to the slideshow. I can get the video in with a composition widget, but I need to use a slideshow widget. Site is here:Main_Mltipages and the video needs to be added to the main slideshow.

You can not insert Embedded codes in Slideshow widgets.
If you want to replace images with embedded HTML video , please use Presentation Composition and place them in Target.
You can find it from Object > Insert Widget > Composition > Presentation

HTML video works but not when publishing in MUSE

I threw this together without using MUSE - Just a test video that I made in Dreamweaver. The reason why I'm posting this in MUSE as well as DW forum is because maybe I'm not doing the "5" code correctly. anyway --:

the HTML5 video above plays great on my desktop as well as on my mobile device.
So now, I opened up MUSE and made a test phone web page. I embedded the necessary HTML5 code. The video plays fine on my desktop but will not play at all on my mobile device (Galaxy Note ii). It seems to start, then freezes, then craps out. Here it is:

What I can't understand is why am I am all of a sudden having problems with MUSE playing video files made for mobile when the original DW test I made works perfectly?
Please advise.

the OGV and WEBM files work fine in the first test. those files are also present in the 2nd test, so why isn't the 2nd playing like like the first one? as for the FLV that's something i can do for mozilla but my main concern is the playback issue with the MUSE test - all works fine in the first example but not in the second.

Have a set of links on that page, that when clicked upon - the video player plays a desinated flv/mp4 file.
How is the above usually acheived? flashvars.

is there a where to insert html code and have the video be on the main page in iweb....meaning i do not want to click on a image place holder then click play to see the video i want to lunch my site see a video then hit play and just it work right then and there?

ah.. can't help you with that as I don't do blogs... but now that you have been more specific there are probably others that can help here. You should be as detailed as possible in what your problem is. Otherwise you have a bunch of people trying to figure out what you are talking about. I read your first post as trying to get a video placed in iweb program to play automatically. If that was the case I'd have told you to check the 'autoplay' button for quicktime videos. Totally different thing.

What platform will work better: Youtube or Vimeo?
YouTube has the disadvantage that displays advertisements and Vimeo has the disadvantage of using flash and gives problems with some platforms ...

I think both have there own advantages. When choosing the best platform to host your business videos, consider the goal of your campaign (views vs. engagement), your budget, and your brand itself. YouTube may be more suitable if high volume and high exposure are key considerations for your videos. If brand reputation and detailed analytics are more important, then Vimeo may be the better choice. In either case, your business will benefit from being part of the vastly popular, online video movement.

Blank Captivate HTML Video in RH11

RoboHelp HTML 11, Captivate 7, Internet Explorer 11, Adobe Flash Player 15.0.0
We have a number of videos, each published as a separate Captivate project in HTML5 format. We then imported them (specifically their "index.html" files) into RoboHelp.
When I output the files as Responsive HTML, the videos appear correctly except there is no Play/Stop/Info bar below it.
When we View the topics, or if we output them as WebHelp, the videos simply don't appear. The Play/Stop/Info bar does appear below where the video should be. In fact, the progress bar shows that the video is running. However, clicking the Info button shows that we're using Captivate 4, when we're actually using version 7.
Can either of these issues be fixed? Thanks.

If it's SWF, it's going to have essentially four files in possible use. Maybe even more, depending on what was done in the project.
The SWF, an HTML page to present it, a file named Standard.js and a css file.
If it's HTML 5 or responsive, you will have a fairly nested folder structure involved. Look at the image below for a reference.

Embed HTML Video on Android

I am trying to embed video in HTML on a folio for DPS. The problem I am running into is with players like Vimeo and YouTube, it will start playing the sound of the video, but unless you tap the full screen button on the embedded player, it will not show the video. Is anyone else having this problem? Has anyone else solved this issue?
This appears to occur both when it is in the Web Viewer and when it is embedded HTML. If I load up Chrome on the device, it works just fine.
Appreciate any thoughts.

I uploaded a mp4, but I can't use the URL in a HTML video-tag

I uploaded a mp4 video via the portal to my trial version Azure account. I then published it. I then encoded it. This produced an output file. I then published that output file. Then I copied the URL, and tried to play it in
my browser by pasting it in the address bar. I got an error that I can't explain - can you?:

I found out what is happening. When my website asks the user for his URL, which can be a YouTube URL, or a URL of a video / audio on a server, it checks that the URL is valid, and there really is a video or audio at that address. This does
not work with Azure.

The code gives the (403) forbidden error in that case. I can suppress this test whenever the input is an Azure URL, but it does raise a question - is there any way to test that the azure URL that the user is using is real?
On another topic, my website also plays audio mp3 files, but Azure Media Services doesn't seem to be able to cope with those.

Some apps and safari will no longer play HTML video!

on the msnbc site, the video played just fine until ios5 update. I'll get audio but no video. same for my msnbc app! I thought ios5 was an improvement...is there a fix or are we giving up this function in ios5?

What converter would you suggest for me to use to convert .avi-files to the three formats needed in Edge movies?

Adobe Media Encoder for mp4, and Firefogg (Firefox extension) for ogg/webm.
Note that only mp4 and either ogg or webm (not both) are required for widest HTML5 browser support.

How do i go about converting these into a format which can be played on my Nokia 6630. Also on the few i think i have in the correct format i am unable to transfer them from my pc to phone using PC Suite, what could i possibly be doing wrong?

Hmm.... this works fine when I drag and drop from my hard disk into the 'Nokia phone browser' with Windows Explorer.
If you still can't get the dragging and dropping to work, fall back on the (faster) method of sticking your expansion card (MMC) into your PC card reader, and putting the files on there directly.

In windows when i click on html video link then windows automatically play that video in corresponding player but in Mac it just opens that folder location where i kept those videos but dont play them.

It sounds like you've misconfigured your browser, but I'm not sure what you're even talking about.
