http://pub8.bravenet.com/counter/code.php?id=395396&usernum=635540990&cpv=2">
</script>
<!-- END DO NOT MODIFY -->
the other codes are similar to this.
2-
I want to put a scroll bar in my flash website how can i do

Okay.
> I want to put a counter, a mp3 player and a mailing list
> code that is in HTML code how can i do it?
Ah. Well, it's important to realize the difference between a
browser
and the Flash Player plug-in. Browsers download files and
display them
based on HTML. Most browsers have a JavaScript engine, which
is required,
of course, for interpreting JavaScript. In fact, having a
JavaScript engine
is a bit like having the Flash Player plug-in: without it,
you can't
display media of the relevant sort.
The Flash Player does not provide a JavaScript engine.
Flash's language
is ActionScript. So code like this ...
> example of the code of the counter:
>
> <!-- Start Bravenet.com Service Code -->
> <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"
> src="
http://pub8.bravenet.com/counter/code.php?id=395396&usernum=635540990&cpv=2
> ">
> </script>
... simply won't run in a Flash movie because there's nothing
to run it.
You'll either have to use one of the ActionScript solutions
for posting
variables (such as loadVariables() or the LoadVars class) --
and even that
may not work, because I'm guessing the bravenet.com PHP form
returns data
relevant to JavaScript -- or leave room in your HTML code for
both a SWF
file (your Flash movie) and such JavaScript snippets.
> I want to put a scroll bar in my flash website how

Look in your Components panel and use the ScrollPane
Component.

  • Add HTML Code to Flash File?

    Hello All,
    I am building a website, but am fairly new at it on flash... Am I able to add HTML code to the file? I am trying to add a code which creates a map from mapquest...?
    <iframe style="height: 270px; width: 450px;" src="http://www.mapquest.com/embed#a/maps/lisneyland:1313+S+Harbor+Blvd:Anaheim:CA:92802:U S:33.8127:-117.9154:address::1/m::12:33.8127:-117.9154:0:::::1:1:1::/io:0:::::f:EN:M:/e" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe><br/>

    Flash only supports a minimum number of html tags and they can only be implemented in textfields using the TextField.htmlText property.  "iframe" is not a supported tag.

    You're not getting any help here because this is the forum for discussions of the Community Help Client application and Help system in general. For CSS questions, you should probably try something like the Dreamweaver forum.

  • What HTML code do I need to get Adobe Flash to play an embedded MP4 video file (8 MB)?

    What HTML code do I need to get Adobe Flash to play an embedded MP4 video file (8 MB)?
    Thanks
    Mark

    Here are a couple of ways, one using the Netstream class and the other using the FLVPlayback component.
    For the NetStream approach, the following in the timeline code will play/loop the intended mp4 file...
         var video:Video;
         var connect_nc:NetConnection = new NetConnection();
         connect_nc.connect(null);
         var stream_ns:NetStream = new NetStream(connect_nc);
         stream_ns.client = this;
         function netStatusHandler(p_evt:NetStatusEvent):void {
             if (p_evt.info.code == "NetStream.Play.Stop") {
                 stream_ns.seek(0); // to loop the video
         stream_ns.addEventListener(NetStatusEvent.NET_STATUS, netStatusHandler);
         video = new Video();
         addChild(video);
         video.attachNetStream(stream_ns);
         stream_ns.play("path_to/your.mp4");
    For the FLVPlayback component, add it to the stage, give it an instance name ("fp" used below), assign your mp4 file ("path_to/your.mp4") as the source property in the Properties panel, and select the option to autoplay as well.  Place the following code in the timeline...
         fp.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, playAgain);
         function playAgain(evt:Event):void {
             fp.play();
    To put the Flash swf file in an html page, in the Publish Settings set it to publish an swf and an html page.  Publish the file an the html page will be created for you.

  • Can I add a HTML code in adobe flash CS5 ?

    Hello ! I'm French
    I'm working in a flash template (like this one http://www.templatemonster.com/flash-templates/22075.html) and I would like add a HTML code. Could I ?
    If I can, where insert him ?
    Thank-you, have a good day, Jérôme.

    if your textfield has instance name tf, you can use:
    if actionscript 2:
    getURL ("mailto:[email protected]?subject=Flash Form&body="+tf.text);
    if actionscript 3:
    navigateToURL(new URLRequest("mailto:[email protected]?subject=Flash Form&body="+tf.text));

  • Problem with embedding Flash Text/HTML Code

    Hey all, im new to DW and just created a html page with a
    black background and a picture. I also added a flash text called
    "Enter Forum" by using "Insert>Media>Flash Text"
    When i copy and paste the code that is generated in the
    "Code" section/tab on to my server in the index/html and go to view
    my site it is not there. I uploaded the .swf file to my server
    also, i have played around with the coding a bit to see if i was
    doing anythng wrong but nothing works. Below is the code DW renders
    to me. I simply copy and paste this code that DW renders and paste
    it in to my server's index.html (Main Page) file. I checked the emd
    src and all thats correct.
    HTML Code that DW generates me:

    Can you post the url to show us the page on your server? If
    you copied
    everything, it could be you have too many doc types, headers
    and body tags
    in your index.html page.

    Hi
    Can you tell me which version of dreamweaver you are using (and flash pro, if you have it), as the code you provided has element of a number of different versions (e.g. your js flash files are reasonably new, but your flash inserted into the html body is old, but with the cs3 version of flash player indicated!). • Need help converting this html code into code that will work as a flash button

    I have some html code that is for a button in html that when
    pressed sends you to a certain url but also somehow adds an 'id

    How can I convert this code and or put it into a flash
    button?
    Disregard the gif info...that's just for the html graphic
    that goes for the button.

  • Html codes for a flash and a quicktime movie

    I'm building a new webpage and I want to put a flash and a quicktime movie in every page......now that the new iWeb has the html snippet option I was wondering if there is anyway of embeding the movies with html code in a way that I just have to replace the movie file instead of putting the movies in every page all over again every time I want to update the site
    Thanks

    Code for Flash inclusion is here: http://artotems.com/test.aspx as well as many other examples.
    It's intended for PC OL users but can be used for any site with HTML access. There are many clear examples on the site. I know I wrote them.

  • How can HTML call a Flash movie?

    Greetings Everyone!
    I'm sincerely hoping that someone has the answer for me. I'm
    a newbie, but trying so very hard to understand... :) I've read
    books, pages & pages of this forum, 'net searches - I haven't
    found a complete answer to my challenge so far - thanks in advance
    for any help you can give...
    Here's where things are:
    1) I've created a series of swf Flash movies that loop (at a
    particular size so they can play inside of an html table cell)
    2) I've created html buttons in another cell
    What I'm trying to do:
    1) Like a swap file in HTML (where you click a button and an
    image changes elsewhere on the page, click another button, and that
    image swaps to a different image file)
    I want to have a flash movie play on a click of a button, click
    another button, and a different flash movie plays in the same
    spot.
    The challenge is the interaction between Dreamweaver and
    Flash and getting HTML to talk to Flash.
    Here's the code direction I've been heading ...
    ...IN MY HTML code...
    I have a onMouseClick event for each button link. In this
    code I set some variable names inside it.
    onMouseClick="setFlashVariables('sendmovie','myMovie=activeMovie1')"
    ---- this would be for button 1.
    onMouseClick=
    "setFlashVariables('sendmovie','myMovie=activeMovie2')" ---- this
    would be for button 2
    onMouseClick
    ="setFlashVariables('sendmovie','myMovie=activeMovie3')" ---- this
    would be for button 3
    Basically, I'm setting a 'myMovie' variable to 'activeMovie1'
    or 'activeMovie2' or 'activeMovie3' when one of the buttons is
    clicked.
    If 'myMovie' variable is equal to 'activeMovie1' by clicking
    a link, this will tell a flash movie: (" Hey flash! Variable
    'myMovie' is equal to 'activeMovie1'. Act accordingly."). When the
    2nd button is clicked, 'myMovie' will be equal to 'activeMovie2'
    and so on.
    I need to declare the 'myMovie' variable in my flash movie -
    how do I do that?
    ...IN FLASH...
    1. I need to create one variable which will act as a variable
    receiver from HTML. (What I called "myMovie")
    2. I gather I need to create an IF statement so that
    "myMovie" is set to which "activeMovie" ( it could be
    activeMovie1/activeMovie2/activeMovie3 etc ) ,
    ----->Question:
    Where should the IF statement be and
    How should it be written?
    Admittedly I don't know Action Script 3 very well.
    if myMovie is equal to "activeMovie1"
    then load a movie. (This movie will be a movie related to my
    1 Button.)
    else if myMovie is equal to "activeMovie2"
    then load a movie. ((This movie will be a movie related to
    your 2 Button.)
    else if myMovie is equal to "activeMovie3"
    then load a movie. ((This movie will be a movie related to
    your 3 Button.)
    Here's where I'm stuck....
    1) If I've already made my movies into swf files where does
    an IF statement go?
    2) I'm missing the mechanics of how to connect the dots here
    - how do I get button 1 to load movie 1 and start playing
    automatically? When I click button 2, movie 1 is replaced by movie
    2 and starts playing automatically.
    It's a detailed explanation (I know) - I'm hoping someone has
    an answer for me that's equally explicit. Thanks so much much for
    taking the time to read it!!

  • Opening an HTML popup from Flash, not as tab

    Hi
    I need to open an HTML popup from Flash (using ActionScript in
    Flex 4).
    Thus far I found a solution, and it does work in Safari - a new
    and separate HTML window is popped up (with a new web page).
    private function popUpTheHtmlEditor():void {
      var url:String = "http://www.adobe.com";
      var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest(url);
      try {
        navigateToURL(request, '_blank');
      } catch (e:Error) {
        trace("Error occurred!");
    But in (my) Firefox (with my settings), when I click on the Flash
    (Flex) button, the page is being opened in a new tab.
    I need a solution which pops up the HTML page in a new/separate
    window, as far as possible regardless of the browser (and browser
    settings).
    I found an example where a popup is opened from HTML, and it opens a
    separate window (a real popup) in my Firefox:
    http://www.gtalbot.org/FirefoxSection/Popup/PopupAndFirefox.html
    -> "Open a requested popup"
    The JavaScript code seems to be:
      OpenRequestedPopup(this.href, this.target); return false;
    with this function def:
      function OpenRequestedPopup(strUrl, strTarget)
        if (WindowObjectReferenceOfRequestedPopup == null || WindowObjectReferenceOfRequestedPopup.closed)
        WindowObjectReferenceOfRequestedPopup = window.open(strUrl, strTarget, "top=" + windowTop + ",left=" + windowLeft + ",width=" + windowWidth + ",height=" + windowHeight + ",menubar,toolbar,location,resizable,scrollbars,status");
        else
        if(WindowObjectReferenceOfRequestedPopup.focus)
          WindowObjectReferenceOfRequestedPopup.focus();
    How could I call such code from ActionScript? Should this work through
    ExternalInterface? I couldn't even get this to work:
      ExternalInterface.call('alert', 'foo');
    Should I use swfobject.js for embedding the .swf in the HTML wrapper?
    Any other ideas?
    The two files are pasted below.
    Here's the compiler command I'm using:
      mxmlc -output button.swf -target-player 10.0.0 flash_to_editor.mxml
    I'm running the examples locally (as files, not over http). Would it
    help to place the files on a server?

    Hi,
    Here's a solution.
    1. Make ExternalInterface work when files are loaded as local files:
    Go to
    http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.htm l
    In tab Global Security Settings: Edit Locations -> Add Location ->
    browse to the .swf file, add it. Make sure it's in the list (under the
    Edit Locations drop down, with a green check mark.)
    Now open the HTML wrapper in a browser (eg Firefox).
    Now this works (ActionScript):
    private function popUpTheHtmlEditor():void {
      ExternalInterface.call('alert', 'foo');
    On Windows: perhaps:
    http://techjig.blogspot.com/2008/03/flash-global-security-settings-windows.html
    "In order for external interface functions to be called, you must also
    specify the folder/file where the swf file is located."
    The above setup isn't necessary when the files are on a server.
    Also see:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/flash/external/External Interface.html#call()
    ""ExternalInterface" "
    "call() method"

    "Using the ExternalInterface API to access JavaScript"
    2. Open a real popup: Example:
    ActionScript:
    private function popUpSomething():void {
      var editorPathOrUrl:String =
        'wrapper.html';
      var windowName:String =
        "SomeNameSeeDocs";
      var windowFeatures:String =
        "toolbar=yes,menubar=yes,location=yes,scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes,width=500,height=700";
      ExternalInterface.call(
        'launch',editorPathOrUrl,windowName,windowFeatures
    JavaScript:
    function launch(editorPathOrUrl,windowName,windowFeatures) {
      windowRef = window.open(
        editorPathOrUrl,windowName,windowFeatures
    Works in all browser I tested except Opera.

  • Paste html code into dreamweaver 8

    I'm creating my 1st website in Dreamweaver 8, and am trying
    to include a photo gallery. I haven't got as far as learning Flash
    yet, but Ive found a piece of html code that will do what I want
    and am now trying to place it on my dreamweaver file. I don't know
    how to do this though, can anyone help please?
    Many thanks
    Nic

    i think maybe you have answered your own question in your
    title.
    simply copy the html code from where ever it is and paste it
    into your DW page. paste it in using the code view though not the
    design view in DW.
    if your not sure where abouts to paste it in the code view
    then just go to design view and with your mouse select with one
    click on the area of page that you want the gallery to go, for
    example in the right cell of your table. then go back to code view
    and you'll see that the curser will be in the right place - then
    paste!
    hope this helps
