HTML DB - Tab - Save data of the previous page on tab changing

I am trying to implement the technique given in the above thread. Have not yet been able to do it successfully. Can someone give more specific instructions on how to save the data on the page as a user clicks on another tab and loses the data entered in the form. This looks fairly easy using the tab names technique, but I must be missing something.

I have a test case scenario on my laptop where this works fine and the data is still in the form when I come back to it.
The production application has a similar data set, similar everything and the page with the form will not retain the data. Everything was created using version 2.0.
All the testing is done locally on my laptop, but the production db lives on another server as well as the application.
Do you have any ideas why they are functioning differently? Is there anywhere in any of the attribute settings for the page that I need to change something?

Using APEX version 2.2
We have a multi tab chain form, which each page / tab references a different table. Seperately, when each form is saved, the data is validated and committed to the database.
The business requirement is to be able to enter data on a form, and then click on another tab, and the page is "validated" and saved, and then the tabbed page is then shown.
From what I have seen on the forums, pressing a tab, will not validate and process the original form, only perform the page rendering processes.
I have read the forum thread Re: Navigating to non-current pages for a tab - but have not seen how this works? Is there some dialog missing?
What we would like to do is call the tab as per usual;
javascipt:dosubmit('T_PAGE_6');
But also add the save validation first;
javascipt:dosubmit('SAVE'); javascipt:dosubmit('T_PAGE_6');
This would allow the full form validation
Is this part configurable? otherwise is there anothe solution we can use?

Jon, You essentially want your standard tabs to do nothing but act as buttons. If you can adjust the templates to make those "buttons" look like tabs, you'll have what you need.
Others will have to advise on how to do that, though.

Filter a List for data from the Previous Month

Hello,
I have audit data for each month of the year. At the beginning of one month I pull a report from the previous month. I would like to have a view in my SharePoint list that shows only the data from the previous month.
I am not a programmer or developer, so I was wondering if this is possible without out of the box tools.
Here is what I have done so far:
Created two calculated columns to find the start and end date of the previous month
Previous Month Start =DATE(YEAR([Date of Review]),MONTH([Date of Review])-1,1)
Previous Month End =DATE(YEAR([Date of Review]),MONTH([Date of Review]),0)
I have verified these two calculations do show the correct dates.
So I can generate the dates, but I don't know how to set up a view filter that will show only data from the previous month.
Please help.

What you need is the calculated column to display the start and the end of the next month, not the previous month. Then you can do a view filter where Start<Today & End>Today.
EX: If you have a document with date 15-03-2014, you need to save the dates 01-04-2014(start) and 30-04-2014(End).
Then If Start < [Today] and End > [Today], you can show the document

How can I do to acquire and save date in the same time and in the same file when I run continual my VI without interruption.

I've attached a VI that I am using to acquire amplitude from Spectrum analyzerse. I tried to connect amplitude ouput to the VI Write Characters To File.vi and Write to Spreadsheet File.vi. Unfortunately when I run continual this VI without interruption, labview ask me many time to enter a new file name to save a new value.
So, How can I do to aquire and save date in the same time and in the same file when I run continual my VI for example during 10 min.

Your VI does work perfectly. Unfortunately this not what I want to do. I've made error in my last comment. I am so sorry for this.
So I explain to you again what I want to do exactly. I want to acquire amplitude along road by my vehicle. I want to use wheel signal coming from vehicle to measure distance along road. Then I acquire 1 amplitude each 60 inches from spectrum analyzer.
I acquire from PC parallel port a coded wheel signal coming from vehicle (each period of the signal corresponds to 12 Inches). Figure attached shows the numeric signal coming from vehicle, and the corresponding values “120” and “88” that I can read from In Port vi.
So I want to acquire 1 time amplitude from spectrum analyser each 5
period of the signal that I am acquiring from parallel port.
So fist I have to find how can I count the number of period from reading the values “120” and “88” that I am acquiring from In Port (I don’t know the way to count a number of period from reading values “120” and “88”).
Here is a new algorithm.
1) i=0 (counter: number of period)
2) I read value from In Port
3) If I acquire a period
i= i+1 (another period)
4) If i is multiple of 5 (If I read 5 period)
acquire 1 time amplitude and write to the same
file this amplitude and the corresponding distance
Distance = 12*i). Remember each period of signal
Corresponds to 12 Inches).i has to take these
values: 5,10,15,20,25,35,40,45,50,55,60............
5) Back to 2 if not stop.

Is there a keyboard shortcut to open the previous page in a new tab that is right next to the current tab?

Let's say I'm currently on page X, and the previous page I came from was page Y. Is there a keyboard shortcut to open page Y in a new tab right next to the tab with page X?
Currently my only solution is to hold down cmd (for mac) and click the back arrow button, but again, I'm looking for a keyboard shortcut. I know CTRL + T opens up the same page in a tab right next to the current one, but I have to wait for it to load then press backspace to go back one page.

Is there a way to show the end dates of the previous month stand out?

is there a way to show the end dates of the previous month in bold or make it stand out? so 30,31 and 1st of this month don't all look the same? For example the 30,31st get a regular text since they are a part of the the last month and this month gets bold dates? Its hard to read the dates anyways.

Hi,
How can i find the last date of the previous quarter, based on todays date (the fiscal year starting from 1st April)
the quarters are 1st april to 30th June, 1st July to 30th sept, 1st Oct to 31st Dec and 1st Jan to 31st March

Has anyone gotten a Smartview error when saving a spreadsheet of: Failed to Save data on the worksheet?

Very Important, how much Free Space is on your Hard Drive first of all? Click on the Macintosh HD on the Desktop, then do a Get Info on it.
Could be many things, we should start with this...

4. Select your Mac OS X volume.

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
Do they launch OK while in Safe Mode?

My company recently loaded foxfire and I cannot have two applications open in foxfire, the second page overlays the first and I cannot go back to the previous page or reduce the first page to view the first.

My pages in Foxfore are overlaying one another which is normal but you cannot get back to the previous page. An example is if I have a page opened in a program and open something totally different it replaces the first page and I cannot reduce the size to see the first page I was viewing nor go back to it. I did open a page with audio and opened another application in foxfire and the replacing went on as usual but the audio continued to play so the page is stinn there. Also the tool bar page showing icon is replaced with the newly opened page not an additional page opened being shown as a tab. It's like the newest page or site I open in Foxfire replaces the one that is currently opened.

This might be caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update.

Two finger swipe to go back in Safari isn't the same as clicking on the "show the previous page"

I don't know if Apple knows about this, but swiping on the trackpad with two fingers to go back to the previous page isn't exactly the same as physically clicking on the arrow button on Safari to go back to the previous page.
This is an issue because sometimes when I use the swipe gesture to go back, the previous page stays blank. Nothing shows up. But when I use the arrow button on Safari to go back, this isn't an issue.
I'm sure a lot of people have identified this problem, but I'm not sure if this has been reported to Apple.

This may be due to the webpage not being fully compatible with Safari, but at least if Apple makes the swipe function work the same way as clicking on the left arrow button, this problem would be gone?

It may not be just a trackpad issue ..
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If nothing above helped, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

JSF - Read a text file and diplay lines of text data on the web page

For one of my projects, I need to display lines of text data on the web page using Java Server Faces Technology. The raw data could be from simple text files or sockets or anything. (Getting the data is not my issue but displaying is). Could anybody send answers with sample code. In servlet, one could do this by -

1. It already reads in the file. The (@' .. '@) bits are just there to create a file using your test data to demonstrate that it works.
2. Not user what kind of "details" you want. There really isn't much there, and get-help on the cmdlets used should provide information on what's going on with them in that script.

Back button does not go to the previous page

Hi all, first post.
As an imac user I also have a laptop running Win7 O/S and of course Safari 5.1 (7534.50).
I go to the tabbed browsing bar, click on a bookmark and open all in tabs.
The problem occurs when I use the back button to go to the previous page. Instead I get a previous set of tabs? Or sinle blank tab?
Can anybody help me please!

Right - found a workaround for the PC (mac is not affected).
Instead of hitting the back button, hold it.
This will bring a list of all possible back pages, select the one you want.
Once you have done this, the back button behaves a bit better.
EDIT: Timesink has noted that the backspace button works.
